Jay-Z The Prolific Businessman
Go Against the Grain
If you can’t join em’, beat em’
Diversity
Jay-Z is known globally as a successful musician and producer, and husband to Beyoncé, but he has also built quite a reputation as a businessman. He’s released a high fidelity music streaming service called Tidal costing $20US per/mth, that could spell trouble for other streaming services such as Spotify. Although Jay-Z’s success is a product of his own desire, he has created these opportunities for himself and has climbed to the highest peak from nothing. He started out as a teen drug dealer which he said taught him how to budget, but has since moved into more conventional businesses ie. talent agency, nightclub and liquor businesses. Below we have a few ways Jay-Z has built his career as a business man.
If you can’t join em’, beat em’: After failed attempts at signing with a record label, Jay-Z and his partners Damon Dash and Kareem Burke, started their own record label in 1996. ‘Roc-a-fella’ records was where Jay-Z began his music career. It was after that he caught the attention of the big record label executives. Only a year after ‘Roc-afella’ was founded, Jay-Z and his partners sold half the record company to Def Jam records when Jay-Z was offered a music deal but refused. His determination to make music and be a part of the business world shows that dedication and loyalty can take you places.
Go Against the Grain Jay-Z has always been a fan of the underdog story. In 2002, he signed Kanye West to Roc-a-fella, and he is now one of the biggest names in the Hip Hop and fashion world. Initially Jay-Z was hesitant to sign Kanye as an artist but persisted and now has cultivated one of the biggest artists around. In 2003, he opened his first set of night clubs, ‘40/40’, and was one of the first rap artists to do so at the time. He opened the first club in New York and soon moved to
Atlanta, Las Vegas and has plans to take his clubs internationally. He likes to take chances on people and ideas that others may not have found profitable or ideal for his image. Through his persistence and vision, he has created successful ventures and continues to bring new artists into the Hip Hop genre.
Diversity Throughout all of his business and music ventures, Jay-Z has shown diversity in what he does. Whether it’s keeping a diverse portfolio, or representing a range of different companies as a part of his image, Jay-Z has always held a high standard. He has represented a broad range of companies such as Cristal champagne, which he soon dropped after they made racist comments. Although he is a well-known business mogul, he won’t sell out his integrity. In 2007, Jay-Z Moved into films and executive produced two soundtracks. His album ‘American Gangster’ coincided with the release of the film ‘American Gangster’ starring Denzel Washington. Jay-Z has kept an extremely diverse portfolio and continues to do so to this day. Through his numerous ventures Jay-Z remains a relevant part of the business world.

LARRY KING – The voice, the marketing sensation, the man they say will never retire. He is Larry King, broadcasting royalty and a marketing legend. Larry King epitomises how the average person can work their way to industry success through hard work, grit, determination and a savvy marketing strategy. From very humble beginnings in Brooklyn, Larry Zeiger always knew that he was going to be someone. And be someone he is. He became Larry King. He is a legend around the world. He has interviewed over 50, 000 assorted luminaries including seven presidents. He has been on radio. He has been on TV. He has been on the web. He is literally the KING of: • Communication • Comedy • Storytelling
He is the boy who lost his dad at the age of nine and almost didn’t finish school. He is the young man who transformed his life to become one of the worlds most influential powerbrokers who has re invented and re branded himself a dozen times over in away that has seen him at the fore front of the entertainment industry for over six decades. He is the legend known as Larry King.
SO WHAT IS THE KEY TO LARRY KING’S SUCCESS? “What I do, I’ve been doing for 58 years, I’m not doing anything differently than I did in 1957, when I started. I take my curiosity – and I make a living with it, “ Mr King said in an interview with The
Washington Times. “I leave myself out of it. I never learned anything when I was talking. My motto is: I am a regular guy who has walked with kings – and got to ask them things.” When asked what his secret to longevity is. Kings answer is simple – stick to the basics, stay grounded and don’t get too fancy. “I have what’s been called my street questions. What would the guy on the street want to know? I am not an intellectual. I haven’t read the world’s great books, but I am curious. I do care, and I am interested in myriad things,” Mr King said. “I think I am able to relate. I am not George Clooney; I am everyman.” And that is the key to Larry King’s survival and longevity in the cutthroat world of radio and television. He has the ability to continually make himself relatable. He makes it about his audience. When interviewing authors, King was notorious for not reading their books before the interview. He has long been proud of his lack of preparation – he likes to tell people that he doesn’t want to come to an interview knowing more than his audience, so he can ask the sort of questions that they would ask. It has lead to a fair share of cringe worthy moments like the time he thought that the Dalai Lama was a Muslim but it is also what makes him so relatable and in turn so successful. Kings success story is a true example of “working” your way to the top. Starting his early career as in a small radio station in Miami running errands. He went on to become the highestrated, highest paid, anchor in cable news. For 25 years he hosted Larry King Live on CNN, which at its peak was bringing in 1.5 million viewers a night.
But King was never satisfied with settling for one medium. His prolific work ethic and keen marketing strategy has seen him over the years simultaneously working in radio, television and print. King has always been open to anything and everything from hosting beauty pageants to making cameo TV appearances. King has always had his hand in as many pies as possible. He is also hugely adaptable to how society is changing becoming a very active user on the social-networking site Twitter. Where he regularly posts his thoughts and opinions on a variety of subjects. King states, “I love tweeting, I think it’s a different world we’ve entered. When people are calling in, they were calling into the show an now on Twitter I’m giving out thoughts, opinions. The whole concept has changed.” Many thought that when he stepped down from hosting Larry King Live that King would retire. But those who have watched his career over the years were not surprised when King now in his early 80s relaunched his career in a new medium - this time in the world of web based TV. Launched with the Mexican multi-mogul Carlos Slim, ORA TV has become the home of “PoliticKING” the new current affairs show hosted by King himself. This new platform has seen King conduct a range of interviews in his trademark non-prepared fashion. He never tries to show off or out smart his guests and is unabashedly unafraid to expose what he does not know. Larry King is continuing his brand of informal commentary in an age where his particular style has become more fashionable in the world of podcasting. At the age of 85 Larry King is not ready to retire.
Unique Goods to Import from Exotic Countries When visiting different destinations on holiday, it’s likely you’ll pick up some of the goods the country is famous for, as souvenirs, gifts or just to try for yourself. This can not only be a fun experience, but also a profitable business move. For example, selling Thai imported silk is not only going to be cheaper than Australian silk, there is an exotic credibility to the
product which will make the consumer feel happy about spending more money. Below are some ideas of goods that are readily available in certain countries that can be imported back to Australia to sell profitably.
BALI - CARVED WOODEN FURNITURE With its strong sculpting, unbelievable attention to details and luxe materials, furniture in Bali has an otherworldly appearance. The good news is that the Balinese are aware of the success of their beautiful furniture and are well versed in packing it and making it suitable for shipping, making it a great product to import and sell.
However, if you’re not familiar with Bali’s pricing then it can come as a shock to the system. The majority of goods in Bali - especially in market places - don’t have fixed prices. They normally add on anywhere between 200-500% on top of the price they’re actually willing to sell the item for, so keep this in mind and do your research. It’s also really important to ensure that you’re receiving a wholesale price. If you’re worried about getting swindled when buying goods to export then check out Your Importing Cash Flow.
MYANMAR - JEWELERY AND PRECIOUS STONES Mayanmar, (formerly known as Burma) is located between Thailand and Nepal and is famous worldwide for the unbelievable gems it produces, in particular the jade stone. In fact, gemstones alone make up 30% of the exports from Mayanmar, which shows how in demand their jewels are. The stones can cost next to nothing from the South East Asian country and can be sold for a very healthy profit in Australia. However, it’s important to make sure that you’re selecting good quality goods and not getting cheated. For more detailed information on picking goods of great quality, check out Your Importing Cash Flow.
BRAZIL - ARABICA COFFEE Brazil is the world’s largest coffee exporter, and for good reason - the nation charges no export taxes on
their coffee, plus it has a smooth, soft, nutty and delicious taste. It’s the warm, tropical climate of Brazil that makes it perfect for growing good coffee beans and it produces one third of the coffee available globally. However, because of the popularity of Brazilian coffee, you may think that the market is flooded and that there’s no point of you exporting it too this couldn’t be more wrong! To find out why importing an already popular product is a great business strategy, check out Your Importing Cash Flow. When selling coffee imported from Brazil, consumers see this as more glamorous than buying local, Australian coffee, so they are more likely to pay a higher price, leading to more profits for you!
You Really Need To Think Of The Live Life On Your Terms Discovery Day As Your Next Step Towards The Life You Want To Live Picture this… In 12 months your life could be picking up kids from school when previously you were stuck in an office, or maybe traveling where you like, maybe it’s caravanning trips around Australia with your family, or perhaps it’s regular trips overseas, or maybe you simply want to be home after working away from home for so long.
Why Am I Inviting You To A Fully Catered Free Importing Discovery Day? What’s The Catch? 1. If we were meeting face to face, I would buy you a coffee. 2. If we were meeting for lunch, I would pay. 3. So if we are meeting for a day, I should make sure you are fed for the day. So, in essence, it is just like meeting for a coffee or meeting for lunch. The only difference is I offer you more information, you get your questions answered, you come out of it more informed and at the end of the day you can make your choice – live a life of freedom or stay where you are. If you choose to live a life of freedom, then myself and my team can help you to get set up, get running and be successful. If you choose to stay where you are and not do anything, it’s fine. We part as friends. There’s no catch. I am giving you an opportunity. It’s up to you if you take it. All you have to do is get yourself to the Gold Coast. As long as you do that part I will feed you, give you a bunch of info, and answer all of your questions.
Sometimes I Get Asked “Why Do I Do What I Do? Why Do I Have 11 Guys Working For Me Going Through The Complicated Process, Training You, Supporting You And Getting You Up And Running In Business And Living A Life On Your Own Terms?” Truth is, I think of myself as an architect. At the end of the day, if you say to an architect, “Hey, I want to build a house. This is roughly what I want. This is what I want things to look like” An architect, for one fixed price will go through and design it, engineer it, get it approved, and have it ready to build. Myself and my team of 11 staff do exactly the same thing. We go through the process of designing, engineering, and getting businesses ready to operate for customers. All you have to do is follow the plan and operate it. The thing is, as much as I love importing, my passion lies in marketing and I see so many opportunities that everyone I know could take advantage of. Thus the reason why I take you through the process so you can get up and be free in your own business and take advantage of these opportunities. I like helping people. I see franchises as overpriced. Existing businesses can be ticking time bombs. So I figure if I can use my skills to help others be free with a business completely their own, then everybody wins. I currently import $1 million per year. Myself and my team have gotten many people just like you up and going, from zero to over $1 million in profit in the second year. As long as you put in consistent effort over time with me and my team, you can achieve these numbers. However, a figure like this will not be achieved if you do not execute to the plan we provide you.
So, What Do We Cover On The Live Life On Your Terms Importing Discovery Day? Session 1 – The Importing Big Picture How your life can look. The pros and cons of a normal business and an importing business. How I started from nothing and no matter what your current situation, how it can change. What others have done with my system. What it looks like to be working with a laptop, phone and the internet. The end result of this session is you will be clear on how things can be done and what others have done before you. Session 2 – Living The Lifestyle Of An International Importer Why you want to be an importer. What a typical day looks like. What a typical month looks like. What a typical year looks like. You will be amazed at the freedom you have. We will map out how you can have a life of freedom. The end result of this session is you will have an understanding of exactly what you want and what you need to do to achieve it. Session 3 – 7 Steps To Living The Life Of Your Dreams Why once you decide on what you want to earn and wrap a plan around it, it is doable. I show you the steps. How to choose a product that works for you. How to ensure the market exists for your product. How to make sure it all adds up. How you can get unlimited enquiries. How we can help you get there much faster. The end result of this session is you will have the 7 step process to being free in your own importing business using just a laptop, phone and the internet. Session 4 – Why People Fail And How You Can Easily Avoid It Why thinking you need unlimited funds is the wrong way to think. Why thinking because you have not done it before, it is too hard, needs to change. How to choose a product when you have no idea what to choose. How to deal with negative people in your life. Why a job is riskier than a business. The end result of this session is … we will go through all of the reasons why people fail in importing, so in essence you can instantly bypass the mistakes.
What Is The End Result After You Attend The Importing Discovery Day? By the end of the day you will be crystal clear on how your life can look, living life with a laptop, phone and the internet. You will understand the 7 steps to setting your business up, you will know all the mistakes that can cause you to fail. Ultimately you will be able to make a clear informed choice on whether you would like to live a life of freedom or not. Register now at https://www.importingdiscoveryday.com.au/

WHY OPENING AN ONLINE STORE IS HARDER THAN YOU THINK
Opening your own online business sounds like a dream; you’re your own boss, you’ll gain a lot of freedom and the profits are all yours. However, while these benefits can be true, opening an online business can be a lot harder than most people think. Of course, getting the business up and running isn’t too tricky, all you need to do is to build your own website or hire someone to do it for you. The challenge comes after this in the form of generating business and getting people to see your website and having them want to buy your product. Here are some things you
need to keep in mind if you want to run your own online store. S A L E S A R E S U P E R I M P O RTA N T When starting your own online business, it’s likely that you’re going to be a one man show; it will be you checking the emails, packaging up the items, processing invoices and taking care of social media. This is normal, but it mean’s you’re going to be extremely busy and some areas of your work may get neglected. In this case, whatever you do, don’t neglect the customer service or sales side, as this is what will drive your business, get you recommendations and increase your revenue. Customers may have questions about your product, not receive it or it may be faulty for one reason or another. In these cases, it’s of utmost important to be available to your customer, to answer their queries and to resolve any problems. Successful sales and customer service will obviously lead to happy customers, which in turn leads to words of mouth recommendations as well as good reviews, which drive profits significantly. U N D E R S TA N D I N G S E O I S V I TA L The online world can be confusing as it’s constantly evolving and new methods and techniques are constantly being talked about and pushed as important. One aspect of the online world that is relatively new in the past decade, but is perhaps one
of the most important parts of online sales is SEO. SEO stands for search engine optimisation and determines where your page ranks when a google search is performed. For example, if you’re selling diamond necklaces, you’re going to want to rank high on SEO when someone Googles the phrase ‘diamond necklaces’ because this will drive unbelievable amounts of traffic to your site and get both your products and brand known. SEO can be quite complex and its methods are constantly changing, however, in layman’s terms google judges how many times key words come up on your site, but ranks it badly if these key words are just spammed - eg. by writing diamond necklace five times in a row. SEO is key to a successful business so make sure you take the time to study and learn it. Don’t forget about social media. In today’s day and age, a social media presence is imperative for a successful business. When looking into a business a consumer will often check their social media accounts, which basically act as a digital business card. Not only will social media show off your products and services, but it will also show to your consumers that you’re a serious business - after all, practically no big business is 2019 have absolutely no online presence.

Know Thy Customer The Commandments of Getting to Know Your Customer Matt Buchel - The Importa
When running a business, your customers are the driving force. Though often when starting a business, you create a product or service without knowing who is going to buy it. However, it is your customers that allow you to progress, change your product and continue working on what you love. Making the experience they have more personal, and having a one-on-one connection with your customers means you will have them coming back for more, ensuring you’re selling a topnotch product.
When you create a product or service you have the customers’ best interests in mind. It may be doing well for a time and you may be successful, getting positive feedback, but some comments may not be so positive. By listening to your customer’s feedback and processing what they’re saying, making changes may be a necessity. Although you may feel it is working well, if your customers aren’t happy with what is happening, adjusting certain aspects of your product will help you improve your business. Being open to change is extremely important when you release a product into the world. Without
feedback, improving what you have and moving forward as a business wouldn’t be possible. Through receiving feedback and making changes, you are given an opportunity to know your customer more. A way to facilitate that one-on-one interaction with your customer would be to visit them in their workplace or invite them into your’s. Going and seeing where your product is being used, gives you a chance to add a personal dimension to both your business and your customers’. If you take the time to go and see how your product is performing, your customers will see your dedication to them and appreciate your effort. If they’re visiting your work place, showing them with confidence what you do and answering questions they may have will again create a deeper understanding and appreciation for your work. Before you step out of the office and into your customer’s world, knowing exactly what you’re heading into is imperative. Creating a customer profile to better understand your market is crucial. To do so, you’re best off starting by defining what your ideal customer would be. You can bring it down to what they wear, what their hobbies are and what
their family is like. Creating these fictional ‘characters’ may seem tedious, but it can create a visual picture of what your customer is like. By doing this you can step into their world and not hesitate to ask or answer questions they have, clear up problems or give detailed information suited to that customer’s situation. Once you know exactly the kind of customer you have, step into their shoes for a day. By learning empathy and understanding your customer’s day-to-day life means you can better understand how your business can progress. Designing programs that can place you in their work environment can be beneficial, give you a better understanding of your market and let your customers know you are reliable, and someone they can go to with questions. As a business owner knowing your customer and what they go through is essential to the running of your business. Whether it’s having compassion for their day-to-day life or answering the simplest of questions, if you know their business and can walk in their shoes, you will have loyal customers for years to come.

6 DO’S AND DON’TS OF ADOPTING A MILLIONAIRE MINDSET
I
t’s no secret that becoming a millionaire takes hard work, ambition, skill and perseverance. However, studies have shown that most millionaires - and billionaires - have another quality that affects their wealth to; a certain mindset. Successful, wealthy people have been found to have strong, positive beliefs about themselves and their mindset towards the attainment of their financial goals. It’s the way that they approach situations and the attitude they have towards these situations that makes them successful. Here, we explore some behaviourism’s that financially successful people often adopt.
DO: WORK TOWARD BIG GOALS
DON’T: PLAY THE VICTIM
Rather than checking things off their to-do list or watching the clock and counting down the minutes until lunch or home time, rich people work towards bigger goals. It doesn’t matter to them whether it’s 10am in the morning or 9pm at night, they’re working to accomplish bigger goals rather than time watching - they’re at work to make a difference. But, not only do they set goals at work, but also for their personal life and when they’re close to completing one goal, they’re already considering the next.
Millionaires take responsibility for their own actions. Rather than shifting the blame to someone else when something goes wrong, successful people own up to their mistakes, learn from them and study them to figure out how they can improve next time. Not only does playing the victim mean that you’ll never learn and improve yourself from your mistakes, but it will also bring a lot of negativity in your life, something that successful people don’t waste time on.
DO: FOCUS ON INVESTING
DO: ADOPT AN ACTION MENTALITY.
Millionaires use their money to make more money. While whittling away a few dollars here and there is going to make your savings account grow and keep you financially ‘safe’, it’s not going to make you rich by any means. Financially successful people make sure that they are making enough money so that they can invest money while still having savings to back them up.
In order to be successful, one must understand that your own success is in no-one else’s hands except for yours. Poor people believe that life happens to you, while rich people take the responsibility of their own future seriously, and shape it to take a successful path that they picture. The reality is that everyone will have their fair share of bad breaks, but if you are proactive in controlling your own life instead of reactively responding, the bad breaks don’t break you.
DON’T: WORK BY THE HOUR Rich people don’t limit themselves to a measly, hourly pay. They know that the amount of time and effort they put into working towards goals is a lot more valuable than the time of someone who’s just clock watching. For this reason their worth is measured by success, not time. When a financially successful person launches a new product and it’s a huge hit or closes a massive deal, they will get a huge monetary returning, whereas if the deal doesn’t close or the product fails, they won’t receive anything, and they will take responsibility for that.
DON’T: BE A KNOW-IT-ALL Millionaires are obviously successful people, but most don’t actually adopt the mindset that they know everything. In order to continue growing their wealth, millionaires must constantly be learning and improving their businesses, so it’s important that they are open to improving themselves. Asking questions and listening to what others say are imperative skills in self growth, and in turn in financial growth too.
7 Reasons you Should Start Your own Business Matt Buchel - The Importa
Show of hands: who’s had that sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach that hits around 8pm on Sunday night, ahead of the work week starting again the very next morning? Yep, chances are the majority of you have. But, what if we told you there’s an answer to your Monday blues? - start your own business. By creating your own company, you can work in a field that you love and you don’t have to answer to anyone else. If that sounds like a dream, then check out the TEN REASONS below about why starting your own business is a great move and prepare to kiss Monday-itis goodbye.
Wake up Motivated If the concept of waking up motivated to work sounds foreign to you, then get ready for that to change. When you start your own business you’ll be choosing what field it is, so why not choose a field that you love. Once you invest your time, energy and passion into a project it becomes your baby and you’re going to excited about it and want it to work. Which means you’ll be waking up motivated; so motivated in fact, that you mightn’t even need that morning latte!
Skills, skills, skills.
GOODBYE 9-5!
When you first start your own business, you’re likely going to have to be a person of many trades. Where in your previous job you may have concentrated on one field, in a small start up you’re going to be wearing many hats. Conversing with customers? That’s you. Making sure your social media presence is popping off? Yep, thats also you. By starting a business you’ll get first hand experience and skills in many avenues that you likely never would have otherwise.
MYER stock take sale starts on Monday morning? You have the ability to go.
If you’ve experienced office life, then it’s likely you’ve experienced office politics, a jerk of a boss and set hours that see you staring out the window dreaming of your next holiday. When you start your business all this will become a thing of the past. Of course, you’ll have to work (and work hard!), but because you’re the boss, you have the ability to be as flexible as you like.
A networking event at the city’s best bar thursday afternoon? No one’s stopping you! Can’t sleep at 2am and feeling inspired? You’re free to work for a few hours to and sleep in until 11am. Ahhhh the freedom of flexible work!
You'll Feel Fulfilled You know that warm fuzzy feeling when you’ve completed a task that you’ve been wanting to get to for a while, or when you do a good deed and the person is extremely grateful? Get ready to feel that all the time. By starting your own business you give your life more purpose, you’ll get to work towards and complete your own goals, and you will no longer feel like you’re wasting away days working for someone else.
Reap Some Serious Tax Benefits Not only can starting your own business benefit you emotionally and pay the bills but it can also benefit you from a tax sense. From electricity to business trips, there are many, many things you can claim on tax when you start your own business. Be sure to get yourself a great accountant and keep all of your receipts, that way he or she can get you the most money back on your tax legally.
Being a Boss is Good for the Ego Go on, admit it, when someone asks you what you do, it would be pretty cool to tell them you have your own business. Technically, that means you’re the CEO, the big boss. Now if that’s not a serious ego boost, we don't know what is!
Job Security If you’ve ever experienced the rough ride of redundancy then you’ll know that it’s thoroughly unenjoyable and probably fear it happening again. Fear not, when you’re your own boss, you’re never going to be made redundant again “- duh!” Starting your own business brings job security and control. It’s up to you whether the business is going to be a success. The responsibility lies in nobody else hands.
How to Organise Your Emails Like a Boss We’ve all been there. You switch on your work computer at 9am, load up Microsoft Outlook or the Mac Mail app, and an offensively high number of emails stare back at you leaving you feeling overwhelmed and unsure where to begin. Rather than tackling the emails one by one, you drag them into a folder and forget about them. Or, if you’re slightly more pro-active, you’ll just work through the ‘unread’ emails and leave the other hundreds/thousands/millions of emails from previous days to deal with another day (or lifetime!). However, on the other side of the coin, if you’ve felt the sheer enlightenment of having less than ten emails in your inbox, then
you’ll know that it’s a feeling you want to experience again. Fear not, no matter how many emails you have taking up gigs on your drive, a tidy and organised inbox is actually attainable. Check out our tips below on how you can have a clear inbox, and consequently, start your working day with a clear mind.
Tip 1: Press Delete If you’re an email hoarder then it may be time to let go. Scroll to the very, very bottom of your inbox (yes, we’ll wait). Chances are, the emails sitting down the bottom are
emails that are no longer relevant. Perhaps you’ve flagged them because they’re super important and need to stay around, but if they’re not flagged, it’s a likely scenario that they’re no longer important. If they were, the sender would have followed up, your boss would have asked you about them or you would have received a phone call. So, bite the bullet and pick a time limit. Be it one month, six months or one year, and any emails you received after that date - delete!
Tip 2: More folders doesn’t necessarily mean more organisation. Yes, folders are great and yes, nearly every organised person utilises them in some manner. However, too many folders can lead to more clutter than no folders at all. Think of it this way, if your room is really messy and you stash most of the clothes under the bed, your room looks a lot cleaner, right? But it’s not actually cleaner, in fact, it’s probably going to be in a worse state than before because those clothes will likely sit there for months and be forgotten about. Inboxes and folders work in the same way. Instead, if you have emails that you’re not sure about, but not ready to delete, just make one ‘hold’ folder. Make it a weekly task to go through this ‘hold’ folder and figure out exactly what is important, and what can be erased. Try and make it a repeating task at the same time each week, e.g. Tuesday 11am, this way you won’t let an ostentatious amount of unactioned emails build up.
Tip 3: Allocate Email Time With a million and one different tasks in your day, taking time out to dedicate solely to emails can seem impossible. However, emails can potentially mean new business, so neglected potential customers can be catastrophic to your business and ultimately lose you money. Depending on your daily duties, set aside a certain time frame for each day so that you can reply to the emails that are of urgency, then once tackled, these can be moved out of your inbox; leading to a less overwhelming inbox and as a plus, more possible business.
Tip 4: Cull (almost) all subscriptions. You know the kind of email we’re talking about, the kind that comes monthly, weekly, or *shock horror* sometimes daily and has you skimming it for a few seconds before hitting the delete button. Not only is this taking time out of your highly productive work day (which you could be spending on sorting out your inbox) but it will dramatically cut down the amount of unread emails flashing in your inbox each day, leading to a less overwhelming morning. Of course, there are some emails which are important, for example a financial trader the morning market report, or for a journalist, the daily news. But, as a rule of thumb, if you haven’t read or found an email from the company interesting in the last six weeks, then it’s time to hit that unsubscribe button!
