Instead of spending a lot of money on outfits every season, you are better off buying some classic pieces, and then setting them off with some wow fashion accessories, which will say much more about your own personal style than clothes ever will. While specializing in Wellness & Pain Management, Kim sees women every day who struggle with putting their health before their personal Style. I know this might sound strange to those of you who have never had to sacrifice your personal style/fashion for your personal health. I was surprised by how important my own Personal Style was to me following a fall in March that resulted in a multi – level cervical fusion leaving me feeling like the “Bionic Women” with 8 titanium screws & 4 plates holding my neck together. Now I find myself, “a Fashion Stylist who is having to sacrifice my LOVE for beautiful high heels, large statement jewelry and handbags for my health”. I am most excited about Kim’s stylish “Posture Purses” (as shown here). The Posture Purses are going to help me update my existing wardrobe, personalize my look, add interest, enable my personal expression, and will reduce stress to my shoulders and posture by utilizing a light weight, around the waist design. By reducing what I carry and utilizing my core/center of gravity, I will have better posture and less pain without sacrificing my personal style. Michael Saunders & Co. Teams Up With Baltimore Orioles Michael Saunders & Company announced it has launched a multiyear partnership agreement with the Baltimore Orioles. The two organizations saw an opportunity to link the growing number of Orioles fans visiting Sarasota with a team of local real estate experts who could help them purchase, rent or simply inquire about properties throughout Southwest Florida. The partnership agreement comes just as tourism to Sarasota from the Orioles’ home market has reached record levels, largely thanks to a multi-platform marketing package the Orioles provide to showcase Visit Sarasota County’s tourism
campaign. Last year, visitors from the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area travelled to Sarasota County in such increased numbers that the mid-Atlantic region now surpasses the New York area as the number one source of visitors to Sarasota. “Thanks to the Orioles, we can also be proud that Sarasota has received yet another honor to add to its long list of community accolades,” Saunders adds. “Ed Smith Stadium just received the Field of the Year award for 2015 from the Sports Turf Managers Association, placing Sarasota’s ballpark among the best professional sports facilities in the
country. Sarasota is truly Birdland South.”

Asparagus Velouté Cappuccino With Truffle Froth
Serves eight
Truffle Froth
3 cups chicken stock 2 Tbsp white roux 3½ cups blanched Aasparagus pieces Salt and Pepper to taste
4 egg yolks 1 cup heavy cream ½ tsp kosher salt 2 Tbsp truffle oil 2 Tbsp finely chopped parsley
Heat the chicken stock in a small saucepan on medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Whisk in the roux to thicken. Once thickened, cook the sauce, or the velouté, for 5 to 6 minutes until the flour has cooked out. Add the asparagus and cook until just hot. Transfer to a blender and purée on high until bright green. Strain, season then fill glasses close to the top. Pour Truffle Froth on top of each shooter and garnish with a shaved truffle or very thin slice of mushroom.
Lightly froth the egg yolks in a small bowl with a hand held blender. In a heavy saucepan, bring the cream just to a boil then reduce heat to low. Pour a third into the yolks and froth with blender. Slowly add this egg mixture to the saucepan. Immediately begin frothing with the blender in the pan over low heat. Complement with a glass of chilled Champagne or Prosecco
Enjoy!

When it comes to a catered affair, my goal is to create the same experience that the guests would have in one of my restaurants. This means we cook and/or finish all food at the venue where the event is taking place. We psychically build a mobile kitchen at the site and work as if we were in a restaurant kitchen. Any type of event of any size is our specialty... from weddings to corporate affairs to black-tie galas, we take great pride in making every experience the best it can be. We customize the menu for each event and often work with a specific theme or food style incorporating décor, lighting and all equipment needed to execute a WOW celebration! Here is just one example of an hors d’oeuvre I prepared recently for a wine-pairing dinner menu. This is a perfect hors d’oeuvre for any dinner party or tapas reception, for both a small, intimate home party or large event. Chef Paul Mattison

Improve Your Health Through Your Style: USING YOUR BODY’S SENSES Your style is your approach to how you view the world. The effects of your choice of styling may be adding additional stress to your life. Heavy necklaces and filled purses can continuously put a strain on your spine even if they are that perfect shade of turquoise that matches your outfit so well…Dang!
S
TYLE to me is representative of who I am and what I am passionate about. I choose accessories for weight, size, ease of getting on and off, as well as color, pattern and Bling! What you wear and display is a way to tell somebody about you without saying a word. I also try to be functional and attentive to the pressures or the weight of the accessory. Having to always struggling against gravity or having sensitivity to pressure can leave you feeling that you have to go without jewelry or accessories in order to conserve your energy or reduce irritation to make it through the day. By adjusting your focus to include attention to your posture and spine, you can be restorative and preventative while still being a fashionista!
1 2 2
Five tips to healthy accessorizing!
1
Accessorizing is about you…What you need is for you to look and feel well. Mentally it builds your selfesteem making you feel good about yourself and putting you in a positive mood. You are ready to endure what the day has to offer you because you have that perfect accessory that doesn’t weigh you down, represents your style and improves your mindset. Don’t get caught up in the expensive nature of Brand Names. They are just fancy, highly marketed items with celebrity endorsement. When styling on a budget, it’s not worth the extra hour of work to pay for it or the effort to maintain
its immaculate condition so you can try to resell it at a reasonable loss. You can modify an inexpensive item to suit your particular body or sensory needs and know you will get your money’s worth!
3 3
Think about your posture. When you’re carrying the 5-10 pound bag of life’s little necessities or I mean, purse, think about the effects gravity is having on your body with the additional weight of that bag Think of how it pulls on you, where it is pulling you, how it swings, what it bumps. See the stress the movements are placing on your joints and muscles. Start small and say to yourself “Do I really need to carry all of this stuff, all of the time or can something be removed or reduced for the sake of my health?”
4 5 5 4
Consider an accessory’s clasp. Is it putting stress on your fingers when you try to get it on or off? Is it worth having or do you tip the scales back into health’s favor a bit by conserving energy and nail health. Homemade jewelry is great when you can modify it for your fit. Magnetic clasps come in handy after a few late night events! Accessorizing can also mean the scent you apply to yourself. Smell is a strong sense and can influence your emotional responses and learning. Smell can trigger a memory. Inhaling essential oils activates the hypothalamus – the area of the brain which sends messages to other parts of the body. A slow gentle inhalation of an essential oil mix can influence many changes in the body.
Need to make it through that morning traffic without ending up stressed by the time you get to your destination? Try a mixture of grapeseed oil, rosemary and lavender essential oil for a bit of balancing between calm and alert. Gently apply it to your chest and neck area using immune systems influencing hand sequencing and techniques which you can find on my website. I want to thank Becca Towery, fashion stylist extraordinaire, for the special honor of being a part of REAL Style’s view of the world. If you would like to learn more about essential oil products you can go to www.mydoterra.com/ kimberlyburns and check out the quality essential oils doTERRA has to offer. Shop for individual oils or become your own retailer and enjoy the fabulous benefits as well as share them with others. If you are interested in homemade oil mixtures, soaps, as well as purse modifications to save your posture and how to add the influence of the lymphatic system with manual lymph drainage techniques go to www.senoryintuition.com or by email at kim.burns@sensoryintuition.com. STAND UP AGAINST AGING
With Forever Young BBL + Colorescience!
Get Back Your Youth!
Forever Young BBL is a non-invasive skin treatment procedure that uses infrared and visible light to penetrate the epidermis and dermis layers of the skin to reverse the signs of aging and create a youthful, healthy complexion. The broad range of wavelengths used in the BBL procedure deliver full face rejuvenation, as well as, targets many skin conditions including solar lentigines/liver spots, erythema/ redness, skin texture, melasma, acne, rosacea, and more.
Deeper Than Skin - The Study Behind Forever Young BBL Dr. Bitter’s study further concludes the Forever Young BBL treatment can restore the gene expression pattern in the damaged and aged DNA of human skin cells to resemble the DNA sequence of younger skin cells. This finding suggests Forever Young BBL potentially has the ability to bring back your youthful skin! In fact, a blind panel study of physician evaluators determined patients appeared 9 years younger than their actual age after receiving BBL treatments. Dr. Bitter recommends a regular regimen of BBL treatments annually to reduce and delay long-term signs of aging in a non-surgical, natural way. As a result, the skin cells are reinvigorated leading to better elasticity and more even overall pigmentation and color, as well as, smoother, firmer and clearer skin. What Does It Feel Like? The Forever Young BBL treatment itself is very quick, usually taking only about 30 minutes. One of Estetika’s main priorities is making sure our patients are receiving the best treatment with the most ease as possible. Forever Young BBL is a pulsing light delivered at a rapid repetition rate so the patient’s treatment is efficient and thorough. Not only does the hand-piece used for BBL deliver cooling with each
pulse of light, but Estetika also uses a state-of-the-art cooling device called a Zimmer. This blows cool air directly onto the patient’s skin allowing for an even more comfortable experience.

Prayers For Kristina And Lucas:
A BRIGHT LOVE
T
he past year brought the need for a lot of prayers and thoughts to a great Sarasota Family. Kristina and her son Lucas are surviving with a disorder called Mast Cell Activation Disorder. Jedidiah, husband and dad, is keeping it all together with the help of the devoted parents of Kristina, Linda and Jim Daly, as well as many other family and friends. This genetic mutation can make a person sensitive to a variety of triggers releasing excessive histamine causing a reaction of rash, pain, severe allergic reactions and even anaphylactic shock. Recently she had a brain stem stroke while seeking treatment for her son out of state, causing paralysis of all her muscles leaving her with communicating only with her eyes and will. Recently using a blinking method, Kristina was able to relay to her mother “God said I will speak”.
Please take into your hearts this new year, the Brightbill and Daly families by providing prayers and any support you may have to offer as their lives are inundated with needs, financial, emotional and physical as living with genetic disorders require life-long management that is not covered by insurance. You can show your support of this family by donating through You Caring at youcaring.com/lucasnoah If you have gift cards, meal train donations, services, food or other physical donations please email me at kimburns@getrealexclusive.com so that I can get you in touch with the family with your information. Need a car? Check out the family business and show your support with a new ride! The Car Seekers at 4401 Ashton Rd. Suite A Sarasota, FL 34233. Contact them at (941) 966-1111. Drew & Nikki Betz
Breaking Par
You might be hard pressed to find two real estate agents in today’s market who are as dedicated to the principle of “trust” as Drew and Nikki Betz. Not only do they believe trust is a critical element in the agentclient relationship, but it is also vital to creating honest and respectful relationships within the local agent community.
D
rew and Nikki grew up in real estate families. Drew’s parents bought and sold 6 homes while he was growing up. Drew quickly gravitated to the construction industry and started out working with a custom home builder. At age 22 he bought, remodeled and sold his first home. Continuing with his hands on approach, while attending Minnesota State University for his Real Estate and Real Estate Development Degree, Drew stepped out and established his home automation business, Custom Pro Audio Video. Nikki’s parents on the other hand assembled multiple homes starting with the “Al Capone” home (nicknamed so for its speakeasy) in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, to laid back Key West, to bustling Ft Lauderdale, to idyllic Manasota Key, building and remodeling homes along the way. It is with these experiences that Nikki gravitated to the creative side of building, focusing on color, design and trends, ultimately ending up with a marketing degree from Minnesota School of Business in Minneapolis. With the addition of their first daughter, Alexis, Nikki became heavily involved in Custom Pro Audio Video, taking on the marketing and creative side of the flourishing business. Nikki and Drew with daughters Alexa (l) and Ava (r)

With the lure of Sarasota looming and family close by, the couple relocated to the area and sold Custom Pro Audio Video. Using his business acumen, Drew set out to make the transition from the home automation business to real estate. Not surprising, in his first year with Keller Williams, he placed in the top five of Keller Williams agents internationally and as the top producer in his local office of 130 agents. That first year set the bar from which The Betz Realty Group continues to grow their business and make an impact in the community. Drew explains, “Although there is no crystal ball when it comes to real estate, I have an ‘educated instinct’. I know the properties, the neighborhoods, and the players involved. My knowledge of values, price points, and process is incredibly accurate and our clients benefit from that.” If it seems like Drew brings an analytical approach to the practice of real estate, it’s true. He owes it to his unique background, having worked on the “inside” of homes. “I consider education a major component of what I do. Educating clients is critical,” he shares. “And that education begins right from the first communication.” A mother of two, time is a precious commodity for Nikki, the listing/ marketing specialist for the Betz Realty Group. She focuses on optimizing the team’s marketing to move sellers’ property with the shortest market time at the highest price. Nikki’s marketing background gives her a unique take on preparing a listing. “I like the process to have a beginning, middle, and end,” she explains. “Staging the home is the equivalent of building the set. Creating the marketing dialogue for the listing is
like writing the script, shooting the images and video to go with the listing are the PR, and finally, when we hold the first open house, it’s like opening night.” But still, this busy mom believes that her ability to create a personal connection with clients makes a meaningful difference. “Clients recognize that I’m very knowledgeable, a skilled negotiator and highly intuitive when it comes to pricing a listing, but all of that said, I think people can relate to me because I’m just like them – with kids and a family.” Drew also cites his responsiveness and listening skills as two qualities that give him a competitive advantage. “Two things I hear from clients over and over are that their other agent never called them back or didn’t really listen to what they needed,” he explains. “I make it a point to really listen to my clients, and I’m diligent about returning calls, even if that means doing it at home after hours,” he continues. “I get a lot of referrals coming to me because people either can’t reach their agent, they’re being shown homes they can’t afford, or the homes they are shown don’t match their lifestyle, because the agent wasn’t listening to their wants and needs.” Being involved in the community is very important to Nikki and her family. “We like to stay connected – whether it’s to local non-profits, or our daughters’ schools, to give back and be advocates for the area. We are members of Young Professionals where I am currently chair, and YMCA Advisory Board, where I am chairing this year’s new fundraiser,” she shares. The “Y” holds a special place in the Betz’s hearts as their daughter, Alexis, was the beneficiary of “Y Reads”, where her reading skills blossomed as a result of the program. What do the Betz’s enjoy doing when making time away from real estate? The Betz’s love everything the Sarasota area has to offer; from golfing, fine dining, cultural activities, gorgeous sunsets,

fishing, and hunting, they never have a problem finding something to do. Top on their list, Drew and Nikki enjoy spending time with their daughters, Alexis and Ava. The Betz’s know Florida is the place for their family. Drew and Nikki Betz, the Betz Realty Group. Their outstanding knowledge of the business, high standard of personal performance, and uncanny ability to match buyers and sellers make them a standout in the industry. Whether it is helping first time home buyers, those wanting a vacation home, or individuals seeking investment properties, everyone gets the Betz VIP treatment. “Your goals are our business, our only business.”

Required Procedures In FLORIDA For Dealing With Design And Construction Defects
T
he Florida Legislature has created a mandatory method to resolve construction disputes with idea that it would reduce the need for litigation as well as protect the rights of property owners. It requires that a property owner file a notice of claim with the contractor, subcontractor, supplier, or design professional that he or she asserts is responsible for design or construction defects. It provides the contractor, subcontractor, supplier, or design professional, and their insurers an opportunity to resolve the claim through confidential settlement negotiations without resort to further legal process. Only time will tell how well the procedure works. I offer a summary of the law in this article. A property owner may not file a law suit pertaining to design or construction defects without complying with the statute. If such a suit is filed without first complying with the requirements of this chapter, the court is required, asked, to stay the action, without prejudice, and the action may not proceed until the property owner has complied with the requirements. •
A property owner alleging a construction defect must provide the contractor (including subcontractors, suppliers, design professionals, and others) with written notification describing that defect(s) in “reasonable detail at least 60 days before filing a lawsuit (120 days before filing an action involving an association representing more than 20 parcels).
•
The contractor has the right to inspect the structure or improvement in question within five
business days after service of the notice of claim.
the property owner is thereafter barred from pursuing relief through litigation.
•
The inspection may include “destructive testing” by mutual agreement.
•
•
Within 10 days of receiving notice of the claim, the contractor must forward a copy of it to any other person (i.e., subcontractor, supplier, or design professional) the contractor believes is responsible for the defect.
If the property owner rejects the offer, it must be done by written notice containing the text of the offer with the word “rejected” printed on it.
•
The property owner’s failure to reject an offer in strict accordance with this procedure constitutes an acceptance of the offer, whereas no such penalties exist for a contractor’s failure to comply with any of the procedures.
•
The statute requires that upon entering into a contract for the “sale, design, construction or remodeling of a dwelling” the con-tractor must provide the owner of a dwelling with notice of the dispute resolution procedure, using the form set out in the statute.
•
The statute does not create new rights, causes of action, or theories upon which liability may be based.
•
•
•
•
Those secondary recipients may also inspect the structure or improvement in the same manner within five business days after receipt of the notice and issue a written response to the contractor to either repair the defect or dispute the claim. Within 25 days of receiving the notice, the contractor must serve a written response to the property owner. That response must either 1. Include a written offer to repair the alleged defect at no cost to the property owner; 2. Include a written offer to compromise the claim by monetary payment within 30 days; or the contractor offers to repair or compromise the claim by monetary payment, the property owner has 15 days (or, in the case of a condominium or homeowner association, 45 days) to accept or reject the offer. If the property owner accepts the offer and repair or payment is made,

Pauline Kemps and Jennette Properties: Sarasota’s Leasing and Property Management Resource
explains Pauline. “That’s huge, and has allowed us to become incredibly successful in our field of expertise.” Property management and leasing, adds Pauline, is an industry that requires commitment and dedication. “I can’t imagine trying to manage a business that includes working with buyers and sellers, as well as property management,” she asserts. “This is a demanding business, and we’re dedicated to ensuring that renters and property owners enjoy the best experiences possible.”
For nearly fifteen years, Pauline Kemps has offered exceptional leasing and property management services for a wealth of local and out-of-town clients. Specializing in high-end properties, Pauline has established an outstanding reputation with consumers and real estate professionals alike. She launched her career in real estate sales, and Pauline’s strong work ethic and relationship-centered approach proved a solid foundation upon which to build a thriving business. Though she became a million dollar producer, there were elements of the industry that didn’t appeal to her. “I loved working with my clients, but wanted a new setting,” Pauline reveals. That opportunity arose when her former colleague Richard Jennette asked her to join his property management firm. Jennette Properties was founded as a unique business model: the company works exclusively in property management and leasing, partnering with local real estate agents who retain their clients’ business when they purchase or sell. “Agents who refer their tenants and property owners to us know that they are not giving up their future business,”
Pauline’s comprehensive menu of services includes a conciergelevel of individualized care. She previews properties and advises owners on updates and cosmetic improvements that may add appeal to dwellings. The New York native, who studied interior decorating and design, has an innate sense of how to enhance a space by utilizing furnishings, accessories and colors. This, she notes, is particularly important for out-of-town clients who frequently lease properties off of professionally-created website photos and virtual tours. Pauline is also well-versed in the local rental market, and assists property owners in effectively pricing their homes and condos. Prospective renters are thoroughly vetted, with qualifications presented to property owners. “We complete background checks on everyone, including those who come highly recommended by local agents or past clients,” says Pauline. “Property owners then have confidence in knowing that they’re able to make educated decisions when they select their residents.” Jennette Properties is well-connected with a host of local vendors and contractors. As such, the company is able to handle maintenance issues on behalf of property owners. “Many of our owners don’t live hear year-round,” she says. “With our
great database of local professionals, we can quickly hire specialists like plumbers, contractors and a/c technicians to address issues that may arise. These people understand our expectations and are prompt and reliable in their work.” Pauline’s clients know that, beyond the typical rent collection and detailed transaction information, they’ll receive specialized attention from a team of professionals. “We’re intimately familiar with local condominium HOAs, and work to ensure that owners and rentals are in compliance with association rules and regulations.” Her community connections allow Pauline to also assist renters in finding the properties that will best suit their wants and needs. An aficionado of the region’s ample cultural offerings, she works closely with individuals and families to help them find places that feel like home, and that have convenient access to the local amenities and businesses that will complement their lifestyles. “I’ve never moved anybody into a dwelling that I wouldn’t live in myself,” she asserts. “Our residences are spotless, with everything in working order. We bend over backward to ensure that renters have a great experience when they move into one of our properties.” Pauline looks forward to continuing to work with property owners and residents, and to further expanding her network of trusted real estate partners. “We have the pleasure of meeting great people from all over the world,” she smiles. “It’s such a wonderful opportunity and I love helping them discover the treasures that abound here in Sarasota.”

2015 Was A Record Breaker
WHAT DOES 2016 HOLD? Spring is definitely upon us, and those of us in the real estate industry will be taking a welcome respite from a very busy selling season which came hard on the heels of a record breaking year for real estate transactions in Sarasota and Manatee Counties.
2015 was certainly one for the record books. 20,691 homes were sold in our desirable spot on the Gulf Coast – 1,302 more than in 2014, and an increase of more than 6%. As you would expect, our median sales prices also climbed. For single family homes, they were up 22% in Sarasota County to $239,900 and 12% in Manatee County to $262,963. Condo median prices also performed very well, up by 22% in Sarasota to $217,000 and by 6% in Manatee County, to $178,249. Signs of a healthy real estate market were also bolstered in 2015 by a continuing decline in the number of distressed property sales. For single family homes, these declined by almost half across both counties. Distressed condo sales also fell: down 25% in Sarasota and 47% in Manatee County. At the time of writing, there were only 112 distressed sales listed in Sarasota and 100 in Manatee County. A far cry from the heady days of the nottoo-distant past, when distressed sales represented almost half of the market. Inventory levels were a challenge during the latter part of 2015 and buyers may have been challenged to find the home of their dreams with only around four months supply of homes in the market. A balanced market is said to have six months supply of homes. Our winter tourist season was also a record breaker, with our two-county area welcoming more visitors than ever before. Does this set the scene for another real estate boom in 2016?
What other factors may influence the real estate market in 2016? An increase in the supply of new homes would certainly boost our market. While recent months have seen inventory creeping up slightly, more new construction offerings will help. We continue to attract new builders to the area, but shortage of skilled subcontractors will slow progress, so more needs to be done here. The building boom has also stretched our local government resources. Permits take longer to be issued and inspections may not be as timely. Let’s hope both Sarasota and Manatee Counties continue to strive to better this situation. Many homes in our area are purchased with cash, but low mortgage rates will be essential to the continued success of our market. They will assist full time residents, as opposed to second home owners and investors, to make those important moves to accommodate a growing or shrinking family. The continued strength of the U.S. Dollar has seen many of our international buyers look to finance home purchases rather than pay cash. This allows them the opportunity to repay the mortgage at a time when their home currency is stronger. Mortgage offerings for overseas buyers are increasing and will further fuel this important growth area, against the backdrop of a strong Dollar.

Ongoing investment in our local infrastructure is key to the success of our real estate market in 2016. No-one wants to move to an area that cannot support its population with adequate jobs, government services, schools, medical facilities, and traffic flow. It goes without saying that the overall economic climate and the looming presidential election have an impact on the population’s ability to buy and sell homes. Uncertainty over the election may lead to consumers being reluctant to make decisions, and they may choose to defer those decisions to 2017. So what does the crystal ball say about 2016’s real estate market in Sarasota and Manatee Counties? Only time will tell, but as long as we all continue to invest in our local communities we are more likely to thrive. BB CREAM AND CC CREAM What Is The Difference? By Sheila Venancia
T
hese creams are being launched rapid fire by cosmetics companies trying to take advantage of the fad. These creams are supposed to do everything from fading dark spots and healing breakouts to fighting wrinkles, lightening dark circles, and brightening skin tone. Not surprisingly consumers are curious to find out if the claims about BB and CC creams are true.
If you’ve been shopping for cosmetics lately you have most likely heard or seen something about a new group of products referred to as BB, CC, or even DD creams. It is a veritable alphabet soup of new products, all with enticing claims. dioxide for more opaque sun protection and foundation-like coverage. In a nod to cultural preference, Asian BBs are also expected to produce a whiter appearance on the skin. In contrast, most Western BB creams are closer to a lightweight tinted moisturizer with a natural, sheer appearance. They may or may not contain a significant amount of sunscreen protection.
WHAT ARE “BB” CREAMS? BB creams were originally developed in Germany and used for skin care following a cosmetic surgical procedure. “BB” stood for “Blemish Balm” (blemish referring to any skin imperfection, not just breakouts). They caught on big in Korea, and then became musthave beauty products in most of East Asia. When these products hit the U.S. market, they were renamed as Beauty Balms.
WHAT ARE “CC” CREAMS? CC creams are a variation on the BB creams that some companies are launching to separate their products from the glut of options out there. The “CC” initials typically stand for “color” and “correct.” These products generally provide more coverage than BB creams but not always, and are pitched as being formulas that can cover flaws as well as provide skin benefits (like reducing redness or dark spots), but they don’t always do that.
Regardless of the country, the main selling point of all BB creams is that for the most part they provide some amount of coverage to the skin as a sheer foundation along with some extra perks, like sun protection, skin lightening, and anti-aging ingredients—a type of allin-one product for daytime. A caveat to be aware of: BB creams from Asian and Western companies are not the same.
SHOULD I USE “”BB” OR “CC” CREAM? If you are looking for a good face cream but also want good sun protection and coverage - you need “BB” cream in your life! This clever little product is a time and money saver, shrinking your makeup bag down by having all the benefits of a serum, moisturizer, primer, foundation and sunblock in one!
Asian BB creams tend to be thicker, with higher levels of zinc oxide and titanium
If you are looking for light coverage, “CC” cream is the perfect product to use
36 | REAL EXCLUSIVE | GetRealExclusive.com
to cover skin imperfections such as scars and blemishes.
FOR OILY SKIN CC cream has a matte texture and is less oily than BB cream. FOR SENSITIVE SKIN CC cream has more moisturizer and is perfect for dry skin. FOR ACNE PRONE SKIN The lightweight formula of a BB cream lets skin breathe and so is less likely to trigger a spot outbreak. FOR ANTI – AGING Use a CC cream complexion Corrector for targeted action against age spots and fine lines. FOR A NATURAL LOOK A natural look is attainable with both, however if you want to keep your skin light, BB cream is your best option as it provides sheer coverage while targeting skin blemishes.
