The first time I discovered Lake Chatuge, locally known as The Lake Chatuge Valley, was in 1974. My family camped a long weekend on the shores of the lake. Little did I know that within two weeks, we would be moving to Hiawassee and enjoying this beautiful valley as a place we would call home.

Looking back now over the six decades I have been blessed to live in this special valley, I realize how fortunate I am. The Real Estate career I chose has been very rewarding, enabling me to help many people from all over the country find their special slice of heaven in the mountains. At present count, I have served over 1,000 clients.

I am a local resident, having lived over 45 years in The Lake Chatuge Valley since the 1970s. Looking back over my life one of the things I feel most blessed about is the opportunity to raise my children around the same lake I grew up on. The fact that The Lake Chatuge Valley offers unsurpassed beauty, a multitude of outdoor opportunities, a small school system where you get to know everyone, and an easy pace of life makes the mountain/lake valley the perfect location to live a quality life!

I was fortunate enough to have hobbies like hunting, fishing, skiing, and backpacking that put me on the lake and deep into the mountains. Between those activities and almost four decades as a Realtor, I have covered just about every mile of Towns and Clay Counties, becoming an expert on the area.

As a teenager, I woke every morning to the view over Lake Chatuge, to a masterpiece of God’s handiwork. I was continually amazed at the changing shades of blue majesty of the Tusquittee Range towering over Lake Chatuge. As a Realtor, I have discovered that I am a relational seller, preferring to build rapport with my clients through shared experiences. A big part of my heart is stamped with the mountain and lake lifestyle that I have lived. It is easy and enjoyable to sell something I love because I am not really selling, I am sharing!

Todd was originally licensed in 1986 and has almost 40 years of experience as a full time Realtor. He holds licenses in Georgia and North Carolina. Todd’s career includes closing over 900 transaction sides as well as developing subdivisions, helping facilitate 1031 tax deferred exchanges, serving as the President of the Northeast Georgia Board of Realtors and owning his own Real Estate Brokerage. Continuing Education is one of the most important elements of ones experience and Todd has completed over 375 hours and received 7 Designations and Certifications.
