PATRICK VAN DEN BOSSCHE Hello Executives! This year marks a landmark year for our brand and our network as we celebrate 55 years of Realty Executives. Our brand has stood the test of time in an everchanging industry. We are one of few real estate brands to have success and longevity throughout the decades-and it’s all because of you. Our Executives and Broker/Owners are what make Realty Executives a top tier company, pushing us to better our resources, tools and training everyday so that you can better serve your communities and be the “local experts” we take pride in. As the world faced the global pandemic of COVID-19, your efforts, commitment and hard work grew your presence, expanded your expertise, influenced pivots and changes for the new normal, and caused purposeful connections with others in a time when many felt alone. You faced this adversity with positivity and determination, and I can never thank you enough for making the Realty Executives brand stronger than ever, allowing us to thrive and evolve together. In this EXEC issue, we want to take you back to our humble beginnings in 1965, through the incredible accomplishments we have achieved together over the years, and what the future holds for us. As we look forward, I want you to know that the hard work is not slowing down but only beginning. Cheers to the next 55 years of Realty Executives! Founded in 1965 by Dale Rector, Realty Executives is one of the largest and most established real estate systems, with over 8,000 agents working across the globe. As the only brand named after it’s people, our Executives, we were founded on the idea that our network and the people that represent us come first. Creator of the first ever 100% commission concept, we attract and retain the most productive, efficient and successful real estate professionals in the industry through our unparalleled brand, technology, training and concierge services. True North Company becomes majority owners of Realty Executives International, bringing support and security

1988 Realty Executives opens in Canada becoming truly international

Working as a Realtor ® during the ‘60s, Dale Rector saw how the business worked and recognized the need to put the agent first. In 1965, Dale set out to create a company that would literally turn the industry upsidedown. Most companies were designed as complex levels of management and stockholders with incomeproducing agents occupying the lowest tiers. Agents were paying large sums to the brokerages, instead of keeping their profit in their pockets. Dale decided he would recruit top performers and offer a flat fee model where their commissions stayed with them, building a company structure that would support their efforts. He named his company “Realty Executives.”

David started his first company at only 15, finding his true passion for entrepreneurship. David moved to Phoenix where he began growing and selling companies, leading him to his overall vision for business. In 2017, Tedesco’s company True North became 100% owners and in 2019, Outlier launched, making Realty Executives part of one of the Valley’s largest independent capital firms. David continues to focus on innovation, technology and top-tier service in all businesses in the Outlier portfolio.

Dale’s son and real estate agent, Rich, worked under his father’s leadership and began to take lead on the franchising side of business as Realty Executives grew. After Dale’s retirement, Rich took over as President and ran the business along with his wife. Rich continued to focus on global expansion throughout his leadership and now is the Broker/ Owner of Realty Executives Relocation and Referral.

Becoming President in 2018, Patrick joined the Realty Executives team with over 30 years of experience managing fast-growth, next-growth and start-up companies, including BarrettJackson Auction Company, Echo Automatic, Inc., SPI Holdings Inc. and Modtech Holdings Inc. As a licensed real estate agent himself, Patrick is focused on strengthening the culture and relationships throughout the entire network and the long-term success of the Realty Executives brand.


This year, communication and collaboration took on a whole new meaning in the business world. No longer able to connect in person, it was important to find different ways to discuss, strategize and educate together as partners. The Realty Executives team works hard to ensure Brokers and Executives have access to the team, whether through personal calls, emails or our white-glove concierge chat. That being said, with Realty Executives’ culture of openness and sharing, it was important to provide ways for the network to collaborate and learn from each other- the people in the day-to-day business of real estate. Spring and summer months were times to connect! Town Halls, Webinars and Mastermind Panels kept the network up-to-date on subject matter such as government policies, small business loans, strategies for virtual open houses, digital advertising and more. The participation of industry partners, brand leadership, Broker/Owners and Executives was key in making the sessions a success. At Realty Executives, we don’t rest on our laurels. Improving and building the business to reach new heights is a continual process. We work together, sharing success along the way!


BUILDING YOUR DIGITAL BRAND This last May, Execs and Brokers joined in on our 2020 Digital Marketing Executive course. With record breaking attendance, the four-week certification was offered to all Executives, Broker/ Owners and office employees of the Realty Executives’ franchises. During the training, brand leadership and various guest speakers lead the network through a multitude of topics pertaining to real estate in the digital world. Topics included social media advertising, leveraging your CRM, perfecting online profiles and more, with the overall goal of the DMX certification being for all attendees to leave with a digital strategy and execution plan for their business. All offered free-of-cost, this 8 session program taught Executives and Brokers to connect with clients through digital channels, adapt to a “new” way of doing business, and continue to provide topnotch service to home buyers and sellers. Registrants of DMX training received a certificate of completion along with a playbook that included all materials discussed throughout the virtual classes. With the success of the first DMX training, Realty Executives is pleased to announce that advanced DMX training sessions will be available at various times throughout the year. We can’t wait to see the turnout at next year’s DMX!
