At the October Annual Meeting, the Williamson County Association of REALTORS (WCREALTORS) held elections to fill open board of director seats for 2020. The WCREALTORS Board requires a three-year commitment and seats 13 members. As the Association welcomes three new directors, the Association is also bidding farewell to three members who have completed their terms, including 2018 President, Victoria Reviel, Jerry Seay, and C.J. Pfau. The incoming board will be led by Kriston Wood. WCREALTORS was established in 1973 as a trade association and the public face of Williamson County’s real estate community. Today, the organization continues to represent the needs and interests of REALTORS and brokers in Central Texas. The Board of Directors serves members by providing resources and guidance for professional development, advocates for legislative and state property rights, promotes political issues that affect the real estate industry, and represents the organization to the community. “I became involved with WCREALTORS early in my real estate career to grow my knowledge of our profession and build relationships. But it’s also a great opportunity just to give back to my community,” said Wood. Throughout her career, she has worked tirelessly to promote professional standards and ethics and along with her colleagues, promoted various advocacy efforts, including protecting homeowner rights. To her peers, Wood says, “It is my hope that others are inspired to get involved and bring their talents to the table as we continue to elevate standards and build community. I am honored to continue to partner with fellow REALTORS [2020 Board Moves Forward continued on page 8]
