SPOTLIGHT ON... Caroline Jellicoe Head Shepherd and Business Owner / The Three Wise Shepherds FdSc Agriculture

My course prepared me for all aspects of running my business. There are things you don’t think you will ever need but suddenly I am making decisions about forage and ELS schemes. I will treasure my time at Reaseheath and I will always be thankful for all the lecturers and farm staff for sharing their knowledge.

Katie Adams BSc (Hons) Wildlife Conservation and Ecology

I always knew I wanted to work with endangered animals, and Reaseheath set me on the right path. It’s really hard to decide which direction to go in, and to find out how to get the skills you’ll need. But my lecturers have been amazing and have given me lots of help and advice. Reaseheath has good connections within the industry too, which has helped a lot.

Charlotte Boden Horse trainer and small business owner / Self-employed BSc (Hons) in Equine Science, Complementary Therapy and Natural Horsemanship

The lecture sessions and effective research that took place throughout my degree has allowed me to apply this effectively and practically to the industry both in America and the UK.

SPOTLIGHT ON... Simon Warman Lecturer FdSc Adventure Sports and Management

Studying for a degree gave me an opportunity to prove myself. It pulled together all the experiences I had already and added management skills such as marketing and sales. I also gained a deeper understanding of the outdoor industry and a passion to pass it on to the next generation.

Kat Knock Embodiment Coach / Self-employed - Parasitologist BSc (Hons) Equine Science

The quality of the equine science I learned at Reaseheath was outstanding. My advice on gaining a job in the horse industry is to make the most of everything you’ve learned and take every option to network.

Damaris Kuria Access to HE and winner of regional learner award

Although adjusting to the college environment, being with new people and living in student accommodation was a challenge at first, I was hugely supported by the college staff and fellow students. Everyone went out of their way to make me feel at home.
