This course could help you get a job working in a veterinary practice as a nursing assistant or within animal welfare and rescue, boarding kennels and catteries, pet stores or grooming parlours.

Course length Passionate about animals, Tom has found his vocation as a veterinary nurse and is well on the way to achieving his goal. As part of his course he’s gained essential experience working at a small animal veterinary practice, helping with patient assessments, watching operations and preparing equipment. At college he’s learned the causes and signs of disease and injury and discussed case studies, useful theory which he can apply in the workplace. Says Tom: “No day is ever the same, and that keeps you stimulated and using your initiative. The course is really good, everything is interesting and relevant. The tutors have worked in practice and are very knowledgeable.”
