Reaseheath Bursary Fund 1. The Reaseheath Bursary Reaseheath College will award an annual non-repayable bursary of £1,000 to those new entrants on full time programmes with a household income of between £0 - £25,000 and whose attendance is 90% or over. Bursaries will be paid to students, by cheque or BACS, in two instalments of £500. The first payment will be made in January and the second payment in May. Students who receive a bursary in the first year of study will continue to receive for the remaining years of study at the college, provided that they remain registered on a full time course and continue to meet the criteria for the bursary.
Application to this programme The college will directly target those eligible students via college databases and student loan company information portals. Students must ‘Consent to Share’ their student loan application information with the college which allows the Student Finance team to see declared household income. Attendance percentages will be assessed in January and May of the academic session to confirm final eligibility.

Reaseheath Bursary Fund 2. The Reaseheath Trust The Reaseheath Trust (RHT) provides discretionary financial assistance for students to help them access and remain in higher education, particularly those students who need financial help to meet extra costs that cannot be met from other sources of support. The trust can help to alleviate unexpected financial hardship. Awards will be made on a case by case basis and may be nonrepayable or repayable based on the circumstances surrounding each individual application.
Application to this programme Application to this programme is via a paper based application form and the submission of supporting evidence to the HE Office. The application will then be assessed and a recommendation of award made to the Chair of the Governing body of the College who has the awarding authority for the trust. Application forms and application guidance notes will be available from the HE Office, from course pages on Moodle or via Course Managers. Applications will be taken throughout the year and assistance can be sought from the Academic Operations Officer in the HE Office.
3. The Reaseheath Progression Bursary As part of the College’s widening participation initiative, Level 3 learners progressing into higher education internally, will receive a £1,000 bursary, paid in two instalments of £500 in January and May of their first academic year only.

Reaseheath Bursary Fund 4. The Study Support Fund This fund is designed to support students who might struggle to meet the costs of study tours. This would be made available to those who are from households with income under ÂŁ25,000 and whose study tour contributes to academic credit. Course managers will notify students of the study support fund when study tours are launched.
Application to this programme Students will be required to submit evidence that their household income is under ÂŁ25,000. This evidence should be submitted to the Higher Education Office where the information will be considered and assessed. The study tour support fund will not be able to fund an entire study tour and can only be used as a percentage contribution to the overall cost of the study tour.
Additional Information Reaseheath College is committed to ensuring that the additional financial support reaches those who most need it. Advice and guidance on any of the bursaries can be sought from your Course Manager or the Higher Education Office within the Faculty of Higher Education. The student finance team will also be able to answer any questions or queries you may have.
