Tuition fees shown do not cover any costs associated with trips or study tours for any of the courses.
FULL-TIME STUDENTS Whilst studying there is help towards the cost of tuition fees, in the form of a Tuition Fee Loan. This loan is not means tested and can be taken out to cover fees for each year of study and is paid directly to the higher education institution. You should apply online www.directgov.uk/studentfinance In addition to the Tuition Fee Loan there are two other forms of financial support available: 1. Maintenance Grant. This is a non-repayable means tested form of support. The amount of grant available is dependant on a student’s household income. For 2015-16 the maximum Maintenance Grant available is £3,387, if your household income is under £25,000. 2. Maintenance Loan. This is a repayable form of support. There is a maximum amount available of £5,555 if you are living away from home or £4,418 if you are living at home, depending on individual circumstances. Both the Maintenance Grant and Loan are paid direct to the student. If you have not applied you should do so immediately. Even if you are not planning to take out any financial support you should still apply to confirm your eligibility for UK/EAA fees. Students can complete their application online at: www.direct.gov.uk/studentfinance www.studentfinancewales.co.uk www.studentfinanceni.co.uk www.saas.gov.uk

Enrolment Agreement I confirm that the details entered on the enrolment form are true and accurate in all respects and I agree to comply at all times with all the Reaseheath College’s rules and regulations and those of Harper Adams University / University of Chester where applicable. You must note that the surname and forename(s) taken from the enrolment form and agreed by you as correct, will be those used on your final award certificate, transcript and other college documentation. I acknowledge that I have read the Student Handbook 2015/16, located on the college website www.reaseheath.ac.uk/hejoininginfo which contains the college’s regulations. I confirm that I am personally liable and responsible to pay the annual tuition fees and other charges for my studies in accordance with the college’s Financial Regulations or to arrange for my sponsor, employer or the Student Loans Company (SLC) to pay the tuition fees and other charges. In the event that my sponsor, employer or the SLC refuses to pay all or part of my tuition fees and other charges, I agree to pay any shortfall between the amount paid by my sponsor, employer or the SLC and the total amount of fees due to the college or University of Chester. I accept that failure to adhere to the above will result in my automatic exclusion from the college within the meaning of the college’s Financial Regulations. I accept that in the event that I choose to voluntarily and permanently withdraw from the college, I remain personally liable and responsible for paying, or arranging payment by my sponsor, SLC or employer, all outstanding fees and charges. A student’s liability is assessed in relation to their date of withdrawal, as determined in accordance with the rules outlined in the college (or University for UoC where applicable) Regulations 2015/16. I accept that non-payment of any outstanding debt to the college or its partner HEIs will result in the withholding of award certificates until all debts have been paid in full. I also agree to abide by the conditions for the use of computer systems at the College (and University where applicable). The College has an Acceptable Usage Policy and a System Security Policy which are displayed in the suites and on the Reaseheath Student Intranet. Use of a computer account signifies acceptance of these policies. I understand that the data I provide on the enrolment form will be held and processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and that the information will be shared with external agencies, including the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) and the Higher Education Statistic Agency (HESA).
STUDENT COLLECTION NOTICE Your contact details may be passed to survey contractors to carry out the National Student Survey and surveys of student finances, on behalf of the organisations. These organisations and their contractors will use your details only for that purpose, and will then delete them. About six months after you graduate, either ourselves or one of our partner HEIs will contact you to ask you to fill in the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) ‘Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education’ questionnaire. We will not give your contact details to HESA. You may also be included in a longitudinal survey of leavers a few years after you graduate. If so, we will pass your contact details to the organisation that has been contracted to carry out that survey. That organisation will use your details only for that purpose, and will then delete them. If you do not want to take part in these surveys, please let us know. We will send some of the information we hold about you to HESA. HESA collects, and is responsible for, the database in which your HESA student record is stored. HESA uses this information in its own right, for example to publish statistics about students in higher education. HESA also processes information held in the database for other organisations. Self Assessment Form 2015/16 HE LEARNER SUPPORT Some people may need support to help them to get the most out of their course. There are many reasons why students need support. Some people have a specific learning difficulty or a physical difficulty which may affect their progress in either the practical or the academic elements of their chosen course. Others may have mental health issues which can impact on their course. If you would like some general information concerning The Higher Education Support Service, or if you would like to talk to someone in confidence about your support needs, please contact: Helen Kay (Higher Education Support Manager) on 01270 613288. If you think you might need any form of learner support whilst on your course please complete the attached Learner Support Self-assessment form and return it to the Higher Education Support Team as soon as possible. If applicable, please also send a copy of some ‘evidence’ of your disability/specific learning difficulty with this form (e.g. medical certificate, psychological assessment).
INFORMATION ON FINANCIAL SUPPORT Students with an identified disability may be eligible for support through the Disabled Students’ Allowances (DSA). These allowances are intended to assist UK students with disabilities who are studying in Higher Education. The award is intended to help meet the extra costs of studying that students may face as a direct result of a disability or specific learning difficulty, and also to help students study on an equal basis with other students. This allowance is not means tested. If you think you might qualify, further details are available at www.studentfinance.direct.gov.uk. A booklet called ‘Bridging the Gap’ can be downloaded which gives full details of the eligibility criteria and how to apply. Students living in Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland should contact Student Finance Wales, the Student Awards Agency for Scotland or Student Finance NI respectively.

GENERAL INFORMATION It is essential to apply for a travel pass as soon as you can after confirmation of a place at Reaseheath as spaces are limited. The college will invoice students who attend college using the college bus network in September. The full amount for the bus pass will be due within two weeks of the start of the first term at which point a permanent bus pass will be issued. It will be possible for you to set up an instalment plan either online or with the Student Finance Team. Students will not be allowed to travel to college by bus after two weeks if payment is not made or instalment plan in place. Students who do not continue to use the bus will be charged for the period from September 2015 to February 2016 regardless of when they return their pass unless they withdraw from college. After February 2016 half term a second bus pass is distributed for those continuing to use the bus. Passes will not be given out if students have not paid for the bus pass in full or have an agreed instalment plan with the Student Finance Team. All transport information is correct for September 2015 - July 2016 at the time of producing this document but fees, routes and pick-up points may be reassessed.
