I gained inspiration from several different styles of business card and brand promotion.
Secondly, gold or metallic embossed finishes seemed to also catch my eye. I thought that this would would work well with a minimalistic style of a metallic logo on a black card.
Along side gold foil, I also really liked the combination of gloss and matte blacks. I think these work so well together and look incredibly sophisticated.
First I looked at pinterest, and colated a selection of cards that I found visually appealing. Soon I found some patterns began to emerge.
Pictured below, is the first trend I found myself constantly repinning, simplistic cards that the front was dedicated to the logo alone.

Te a m w o r k • During my last four years in a creative learning environment, I have spent a lot of time working as part of a team for different briefs. This has proved useful as I have learnt how to work well with others to achieve a result. • As I have spent a lot of time volunteering at different cultural festivals, I have spent a lot of time working in groups of people who were all as new to the task at hand as I, through cooperation and solid communication we kept events running smoothly. During my time as an FCP student we have had to deliver several presentations, through this I have become a more confident public speaker. During my time working as photographer for my school magazine I had to work closely with the editor and journalists, staff and other students in a professional manner. This was a very useful First step into the professional creative world of work for me.
THE JOB ADVERTISEMENT
COVER LETTER
Dear Miss Harrison, My name is Rebecca Mc Laughlin and I am writing to you in response to the advertisement placed on your website for the role of online visual merchandising assistant. As a fashion communication and promotion student, soon to be entering my third and final year, Visual merchandising is the sector in which I plan to forge my future career. I feel it would be an incredible opportunity for any student in my position to take their first steps on this journey with such an internationally renowned company such as ASOS, whose products serve over 200 countries world wide. As an avid customer of your brand, I admire the diversity of your product range which truly lives up to its name, “as seen on screen and also your eagerness to not only understand your target market but to take it one step further and engage with them in what can only be described as a truly great interactive experience, one I would very much like to be a part of. The efficiency in which you interact with your customers is evident through any dealings I have had with your diligent and speedy customer service department or social media team, as they have been both pleasant and helpful, things like this show the true calibre and values of a company, and are some of the reasons I am most keen to work with you. As a fashion communication and promotion student, with a background in iMedia production and photography, I feel that this role would be well fitted to me as throughout my education I have undertaken guided projects and built key strengths in areas that are very relevant to your responsibilities listed. I have been directly involved with several photoshoots, acting on occasion as creative director for marketing campaigns of my own design. I have a strong background in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Indesign and Illustrator with 4 years experience using this software, I still have a lot to learn but I am well equipped to begin work with a strong base knowledge of the fundamentals. Throughout all of the projects I have undertaken over the last two years, the importance of unique and creative visuals and presentation methods has always been stressed, so it is something I strive to prefect within all of my work, which would reflect on my monitoring and creation of on-site product presentation. My educational qualifications and work experience have been detailed in my CV with you may find enclosed with this letter. If you wish to speak with me, my contact details are listed below and also on my CV. Thank you for your time and looking forward to a response from you.
Sincerely,
Rebecca Alexandra Rebecca Alexandra Mc Laughlin (075) 12081001 rmcl93@gmail.com 70 Russell St, Nottingham, NG7 4FY, United Kingdom.

Lord Whitney This excersise was based on prop making for a short stop motion based ,the concept was to suggest the presence or feel of a spesific inanimate object without using the object its self through either film or photograph. Our group was given the method of photograph and our object was lamp. We made head dresses out of card fashioned after lamshades incarnate. Our concept was to create a short stop motion of a stobe lit disco with our group wearing the headresses and dancing, only being seen as the lights flickered on and off.
LIFE DRAWING We spent a two hour session life drawing models in different poses, utalising different techniques and different mediums. I edited some of my portraits to give a more surreal 3D effect, as I thought my porttaits had alien like qualities.
