Rebecca Kanner Kelman

From the time I was little, I guess I was always meant to be an artist. This became evident one day during nursery school when the class was asked for their favorite color. Amid seas of blues, greens and pinks, I proudly declared that mine was magenta. Unsure of my destiny though, I earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and spent twenty years on Wall Street. The artist gene did not click in again until, I was forty-three when my daughter asked me to paint a tree on her bedroom wall. Since then, I have defined herself as an artist and business professional, founding and running this website. The journey has led me back to school where I study graphic design while single-handedly raising my two terrific kids. Anything you can think up we can paint. My work can be seen at various locations including Prints Charming and the Pink Comb Salon in Nutley NJ, Wine of Bucks County in New Hope, PA and Sisterhood of the Traveling Glasses at shows in and around Richmond, VA.
