An isolated field barn was transformed in a temporary landscape installation for National Wool Week. The barn - one of only a handful of surviving ‘hog-houses’ in the North Pennines - celebrates the local Swaledale sheep breed and the role they played in the changing face of this beautiful corner of England’s last wilderness.
‘Seven Spires’ A series of large red spires along a half-mile stretch of the Oxford Canal around the village of Braunston. The installation explores the role of the river, landscape and heritage as part of the FLOW Northamptonshire project. The piece can be explored on foot, or by narrow boat.
The install of the spires took two full days and involved a van to transport them down to Braunston, a barge to bring them as near to the section of canal as possible, then a sit on lawn mower and trailer to take each spire and its components to its location.
