Emme Entwistle Aronson

from Coach Bill Sanford:

“One of my tallest recruits ever. He put it to good use and I was amazed how good he got at moving a boat, especially during 1990. He was dependable, would never, ever, give up and would give it all until the last stroke. He was a truly amazing athlete who showed National Team qualities while rowing at SU. He loved a good party, whether it be the Navy Ball or Post IRA. That was expected however, after his exposure to ‘West Side Rowing Club’ in his hometown, Buffalo.”

from Coach Bill Sanford:

“Allan was a quiet guy that you could always depend upon. He was a very skillful technique guy who could row both sides due to his sculling experience. He shunned the limelight and was an ultimate team guy.”

The legacy of Syracuse Rowing has been created by over 6,000 men and women athletes who pulled an oar or steered a shell over the waters of Onondaga Lade while their coaches provided a steady guidance. As alumni, we remain proud to be part of a program that is continuously recognized as a leader in the field.
