focusing on detailed portrait with simple outline garment. I have also added a muted colour wash in the background to add to the the mystery, dreary theme of the book(especially at the beginning when she is rather negative about her life, ‘I have only negati ever found loneliness’ I think the wash will also come in handy when developing the piece as I can play around with adding a white wash to the garment digitally which will make it stand out from the background.Â

playing around with adding visuals on Photoshop that communicates part of her story.  e.g. the couple, the man faded, implies he is no longer there with her, illustration the part of the book where her one and only love dies, something I lov myself didn’t know about her life and will hopefully entice others to read and find out this part of her life.

I have added white and black stripes to visualise the colours channel uses and the iconic design style. the white also brightens up the clothing shape, making it stand out against the mundane background. .

adding the Eiffel tower to add the context of where the majority of her life story took place. to fill in the spaces in-between the motifs/objects I have used to visually describe her, I have added a backdrop of text to represent the story of her life, I feel this ties all the motifs together and creates a definite outline for the jacket with out having to use a actual black line outline.
