using collage of motifs in the template of clothings instead of portrait, creating a material pattern which from afar looks like a regular pattern material but each motif relate and visually communicate parts of the book/her life.
here I have experimented with using the channel logo to add the pattern to. I thought this would be instantly recognised and linked to coco channel therefore drawing channel to the book. however I feel this idea of using the logo is a bit to obvious and is not necessarily depicting the main point of the book-her personal life.
i really liked the idea of using clothing templates in part of my illustration to visually communicate her proffesion that she is iconic for, however becuase the book is about more than her career and is a chance for the reader to find out the person behind the designer and designer label i wanted to illustrate her portrait in some way.
