I founded Rebel Athletic with a simple objective: to provide the best cheerleading uniforms in the industry, at the best value, backed by the best service, choice and designs available anywhere. Rebel started this mission in allstar programs, and I am so excited to bring that same quality, passion for excellence, and innovation to every school program nationwide. Over the past four seasons, with the help of our loyal customers, we’ve built a strong presence in the exciting allstar market. The cheerleading community is close-knit, and our extra-mile service and unmatched quality didn’t go unnoticed. Referrals and word of mouth became our most powerful form of marketing; we began receiving weekly order requests for school poly uniforms, even before we had developed school styles, patterns or a catalog. We have listened to our customers. We designed our own uniform with our Rebel representative’s expertise and were able to design a uniform that was not only flattering to all of our shapes, but that also is the most comfortable and functional uniform we have ever had. or cheerleaders, cheer camp is that magical time when your squad goes away together to learn new skills in a distraction-free environment. It transforms you from a regular group of girls into a fierce, stunt-throwing, crowd rallying team! And most importantly, it’s when your friends become sisters, and your team becomes family. Camp is also a time of competition. For coaches, every day your athletes are learning alongside other squads, and on the final day of camp they compete against each other for Game Day rally recognition. Comfortable, functional and stylish camp wear will play a huge part in your squad feeling confident and spirited when it matters! So how do you go about selecting the best camp wear for your team? First look at the camp schedule to plan how many outfits the girls will need. Ideally they will have a different look for each day.
Day 1: Rock your First Impression in Team Colors! Show ‘em who you are! Today is all about first impressions. HOW WE CREATED THE MOST FLATTERING CHEER SKIRT EVER
R
ebel put together a team of top fashion designers to rethink the construction of traditional cheer uniform skirts. They addressed the main problems of pinching waistbands, bunching at the hips, and uneven hemlines from skirts riding up. In true Rebel form, they approached these fit and comfort issues holistically, creating the most flattering cheer skirt ever. How did we do it? First, we addressed the fit. To correct the lack of give in traditional waistbands, we made it slightly wider, added internal elastic and stretch to the fabric. We were able to smooth out lines, creating a more perfect silhouette that bends and moves with the athlete. The bunching and riding up issues were corrected by designing a cheer skirt with a subtle A-line fit. The change in shape allows the skirt to sit smoothly on the body, and flatters all body types.

We didn’t stop there! Rebel developed a new proprietary fabric, our Silhouette Stretch Poly™ that has supportive, fourway stretch. In the process, we realized that knitted braid- which has been used on cheer uniforms for decades – was also a part of the problem. It constricted the movement of cheerleaders and created unsightly puckering and fit issues after washing. So, we reinvented that too! Rebel FlexBraid™ is self-on-self braid, meaning braid panels are sewn into the construction of the uniform rather than tacked on after.
