by Ann Thomas As a Rebel’prenuer, you are used to being a leader on the cutting edge. You are innovative and see things differently. The challenge is that, sometimes, people you care about don’t see things your way.
Naturally, you feel disappointed when this happens. The key is to not get stuck in the disappointment or let it grow into bitterness. Be steadfast in the face of disappointment. This isn’t always easy to do. Sometimes, you get completely caught up in the intensity of your feelings. You tell yourself, “What’s wrong with me?” “I’m such a failure!” “I’m never going to be successful.” When you start to notice that you are feeling low, STOP EVERYTHING! Your disappointment and attendant negative feelings are a signal. It’s letting you know that your thoughts are operating at a low vibration.
Nothing good can manifest from such a low vibration! Remember, like attracts like. So, when you operate from such a low vibration, you will inadvertently attract other experiences that keep you in a lower (i.e., negative) state. Instead, reframe your thoughts and recommit to taking action in the direction of your dreams.
3
www.ginabellinc.com
Here are three questions
you can ask yourself
1 2 3
to reframe your thoughts...
“Where am I exaggerating?” — Generally, a negative thought pattern is like a snowball turned into an avalanche. Most likely, there is some truth to your negative thought. That’s why it has such a hold on you. But then, you tend to amplify the negative aspect while discrediting anything positive. In other words, you lose the ability to view the situation objectively. By asking yourself this simple question, you help rebalance your mind and gain a healthier perspective of your disappointment. “What’s a better feeling thought that is believable to me?”—Your thoughts create your feelings. If you want to change the way you feel, you have to recognize what you are thinking and change it to one that feels better. Don’t exaggerate the new thought to something that feels far-fetched. For example, if you have been struggling with money, you may be thinking, “I’m broke.” If you change your thought to, “I’ll be a millionaire by the end of the month,” chances are that you don’t really believe that thought. If you don’t believe it, you can’t achieve it. So, the new thought becomes a joke rather than a catalyst for true change. Finding a better feeling believable thought – even if it’s only slightly better than your old thought—helps defeat disappointment. “What would _____ do?”—Think of someone you admire and aspire to be like. Imagine that you are him or her. Allow yourself to assume a posture that captures that person’s energy. Allow yourself to feel what it would be like to be that person, giving your creativity full permission to imagine what it would feel like to think, act, and live as that person. From that place, ask yourself what he or she would do in your situation. Really try to see the situation from his/her perspective.
The key to bouncing back from disappointment is to recognize that your thoughts create your reality. You can change your thoughts. As a result, you will change your reality. Don’t let the disappointment derail your dreams. You are more powerful than that! -Ann Thomas, Esq., CPCC, is the author of 101 Affirmations for Radical Self-Love, a speaker, and a certified coach. Ann specializes in helping high-achievers who, despite their success, feel unfulfilled, spiritually empty, and are self-critical. Beyond the Business Model
Muddle
...avoiding ‘cookie cutter’
solutions by Shawn Driscoll
There seems to be a lot of misinformation in the coaching, consulting and expertise market about how to build a business capable of making a big impact and big income without sacrificing your freedom, time or talents. And when it comes to choosing a business model, all too often confusion turns to ‘cookie cutter’ solutions. Simply put, your business model is how you deliver value and get paid for it. It’s how you make money and serve your clients and customers. It’s also how you stand out in a crowded marketplace—by having a model that gets results and gets you noticed. Yet in the expertise business the ‘funnel’ (or pyramid depending on which way you turn it!) has long been the de-facto business model. And while cookie-cutters are great in the kitchen—they can lead to trouble in business! Conformity leads to mediocrity.
5
So, here’s the real deal. There is no one RIGHT WAY to build a successful expertise-based business. But there is definitely a way that’s RIGHT for you. In any industry there are multiple business models. And that’s a good thing. It allows a business to leverage their unique strengths and position themselves as leaders. It gives customers choice and creates more value. If everyone in a market had the same business model it would be a ‘loselose’ proposition. The businesses would lose out, the customers would lose out and money would be left on the table. Your business model is, in fact, one of the most important strategic decisions you will make. And far too many service providers and experts leave it to chance. Or they attempt to do what their mentor or their colleagues are doing—only to wonder why it isn’t working for them.
www.ginabellinc.com
So, how do you choose a business model that’s right for you? There are so many options—from memberships and associations to multiple streams to info marketing funnels to premium pricing—it’s tough to know what to do. The most successful business models are a strategic match between who you are, what you are naturally gifted at, who your clients are, and what they value. When you understand how to position your skills, expertise and talents with what your clients want and HOW they want to receive it, you will be successful.
7questions...
It starts with these 1.
Who is your just right client?
2.
What do they value? (What value will they pay for?)
3.
What space do you naturally occupy in their minds? (Why do they choose to buy from you?)
4.
How do your clients like to receive services/value?
5.
How do you like to deliver value and services?
6.
What “stand” do you take for your clients—what is your mission?
7.
What are your goals (personal and business) and priorities?
So before you jump on the next ‘blueprint’ bandwagon, make sure you’ve carefully assessed these key factors and are confident that the business model you run is a perfect match for you, your customers and your mission. What’s it like to be known for something uniquely your own? The expert everyone talks about and seeks out? That’s what Shawn Driscoll does. FROM
TO
Leadership!
by Christine Marmoy
I know that finding your true calling can be challenging and when it comes to transforming it into a message that your potential clients can relate to, it can leave you puzzled! This is why I wanted to share this story with you. It is actually the story of one of my clients. Let’s call him John. John had a strong idea about his niche, he wanted to work with Business Owners, to help them become Proactive Leaders in their success. While working on his message he had a really tough time defining his approach. He knew what he could help his clients with, what the benefits were, however he was not pleased with the kind of “linear” process he had come up with to help his clients achieve the results they were looking for. Let’s be honest here, the topic of “leadership” in business is well outdated, stale and quite frankly most of the time it only covers abstract concepts.
7
www.ginabellinc.com
As a side note, it appeared that John was not at all in tune with his emotions, and I could feel that it was a resistance we had to tackle. John was so much immersed and drowning in his own process that he was forgetting himself in the picture. So, right in the middle of the discussion I interrupted him and asked: “Where is your creativity center?” Since he looked baffled, I then asked him, “What do you enjoy doing more than anything else OUTSIDE coaching?” And there, right at that moment he lit up and said without any hesitation: “I love dancing tango, I’ve been to Argentina every year for 10 years now, and I take part in contests as well. Actually, I almost opened a Tango Dancing School”.
His concept is innovative. He didn’t have to choose, he only had to find the right way to combine both of his passions. In his programs he aligns every aspect of tango with real business situations; subsequently, his clients learn how to dance tango while they master the skills they need from the inside out. They assimilate the techniques through their body while integrating them directly into their day-to-day activities. My final word would be: “Take a look inside yourself because the answer is never outside”. What could you add to your toolbox that is not coaching-related but has everything to do with your brilliance?
When John started to talk about tango it was like we had turned the light on; he was vibrant, passionate and alive. Do you see the link between his niche, his specialty and his talent? Our work led him to the business he has right now. John teaches and coaches business owners on how to become leaders through dancing tango. He found a way to use tango as a vehicle to help his clients achieve the results they want while enjoying the entire process. He opened his “Leading through Tango Institute” and is now working on videos, membership programs and many other things. Christine Marmoy’s mission is to help coaches and business owners tap into their brilliance and transform their passion and experience into remarkable businesses. She works on three levels from discovering your brilliance, to daring to be bold, to finally claiming your spot. No stone is left unturned as she unleashes your creativity, your imagination and your innovative power so you become unstoppable in attracting great clients and financial security.

by Shannon Cherry Your Creative Relationship Marketing Expert I am a planner... to a fault. Some (and I know who you are) call me anal. I can understand that because sometimes that planning nature can mean that perfectionism can take over. And if you focus too much on making things perfect, you’ll never be happy with the results you do create. But then there are times when I feel justified that my planning is a blessing, especially when I see what some of the so-called big gurus are doing. (Yes, as I am writing this you can see a smug grin come across my face.) Take for example, a recent book launch of a big fish coach. She was doing something I thought was so interesting, so smart, I had to see it in action. You see, she decided to hold book launch parties across the country on the same day and time, with a live webcast for all to see. Now this concept wasn’t new to me. I used the same concept more than a decade ago to help Minolta launch their new line of digital cameras, with two parties—one on each coast—with a webcast. (Of course, at the time, this was quite expensive; the technology makes it so much easier now!)
9
But to see it executed for a book launch… was exciting. (And it was something I could use for my own clients who hire me to help promote and market their books. Plus, I always find creative activities like this a launching point for more creative ideas.) But I left feeling sad. Sad for the local event organizer. Sad for the people who came. It’s because this big-time coach didn’t plan and it showed. It was like watching a car accident: you were ashamed to watch, but you couldn’t keep your eyes off the webcast. You see, the coach began by starting 10 minutes late. I have a thing about tardiness: it’s only acceptable if it is life or death. It’s rude to the people who show up on time to start late, even if you are ‘waiting for more people.’ It basically says to those who had the courtesy to arrive on time that you don’t appreciate them. But what made the late start even worse is that she hadn’t really prepared anything to say. When she sat down in front of the laptop camera (yes, a crappy laptop camera… couldn’t she have used something better for something she felt was so important?), she was all over the place:
www.ginabellinc.com
She had some papers in front of her (perhaps some scribbled notes?) that occasionally she would pick up and move across the screen to another area. (Hello? We can’t see you when you do that?!?) She announced that there were several parties going on across the country and that she should ‘probably name them all.’ But when she got to Florida (which by my understanding had 3 parties going on) she said, “And there are some in Florida, but I won’t name them all.” (Really?! These people came out to celebrate your book launch, the least you could do is recognize them like the rest of the cities! It reminded me of when Hillary Swank forgot to mention her husband Chad Lowe when she won her first Academy Award. Don’t you think there is a reason he is now her ex-husband?)
The poor local party organizer was left picking up the pieces as the confused attendees were left speechless. This lack of forethought on the coach’s big launch left me thinking about what a complete jerk she was, which was not, I am sure, her intention. Perhaps, if she planned better, I would have a different view about her but now it would take a lot of convincing to buy her book or work with her. I think the local party organizer sensed that too. She handed all the party goers a free copy of the book, which she was suppose to sell to us. The book is still sitting somewhere on the floor of my car.
In the middle of her disjointed talk, she would stop and say hi and chat to people walking in the room where she was at. (Don’t you realize there are groups of people across the country watching? It’s about your ENTIRE audience!) At the end of her talk, which I don’t remember much due to all the distractions, she wanted to have a champagne toast. But then she realized she didn’t have a glass of champagne and got up and walked away. And that was literally it. No goodbye. No thank you. No call to action. (One of the things I insist my clients always include no matter what the format is a call to action. It sometimes can be ‘buy my book (or product)’ but it can also be something that isn’t directly about buying, such as ‘Read the book and get inspired.’ Or ‘I’d love to hear your thoughts about the book.’)

by Shelley Streit
So you’ve been to the conference and you have heard the big pitch from the stage “do what I do and you will earn six figures” or it’s been touted to you “I have a six figure a year business”. My answer in my head is always “so what!” I usually reserve that thought to myself with a smirk. While it may be a good goal or a benchmark for you it is not a “be all, end all”. I certainly do not give it much merit. Let me explain, you see it is not what your earn it is what you keep. The truth is the revenue is less important than the bottom line. There are two sides to every balance sheet and if you only hear about the positive side and not the bottom line, chances are something is being hidden. The very same person who is in your face telling you how great they are may actually be keeping less than you are.

How can you achieve this? Money is not about the math; more money does not solve money issues. Cash may be queen but your behavior is the ace of diamonds!
clear set of up-to-date books for your business will flush these factors out quite quickly especially if you are not padding your expenses with non-business related expenses.
Remember that money is an inanimate object. It has no life or meaning. You are the one who attached meaning to it therefore how you feel about it is a choice. It is simply another tool in your tool box and it is up to you how you use it.
Control your cash by choosing to stay true to you and refuse to conform to an image. Images cost and are usually a façade. They are not sustainable over the long period and usually end up draining you financially and emotionally. The fancy car, over priced clothing, glitzy jewelry and the pretty stationary do not get you better deals, they are expenses. A clean car, a plain paper mate pen and a true to me- do it my way attitude will net you the same result with higher profits.
In my world success has three C’s : Courage, Cash , Control Did you know that women earn 17 cents less for every dollar than their male counterparts? This means you must change your behavior and have the COURAGE to stand up for yourself and your business by saying NO to things that do not fit or drain your cash flow. You need to have to have the courage to do the follow up work, ask for the sale and demand payment! Be sure you are not “trashing your cash” by passing up opportunities as a result of spending on the little insignificant experiences. Having a

S&Mpain …
taking the out of
Social Media by Jennifer Belanger
Well, that got your attention didn’t it! Don’t worry; keep reading…I’ll keep it clean Today is a new day, this is a new month and soon a new year…Things are always changing and this is good. It keeps us on our toes and our minds fresh. The old way of newspapers, yellow pages and radio ads are on the way out and now is the age of S&M…Social Media. I opened my new company on a non-existent marketing budget. To most people this would be scary, but to me it was a challenge. From my earlier experience as a retail store owner I knew a “secret” many new entrepreneurs didn’t know. When it comes to small businesses, a big advertising budget means nothing but strong relationships are the key to success. Instead of running out to place radio and newspaper ads or getting listed in the yellow pages, I jumped on my computer and started following local
13
businesses on Social Media platforms. My target market was medium sized businesses in my area so those are the people I chose to follow. The next thing I did was the most important... rather than speaking… I started to listen. I got to know the people who owned the businesses, what their needs, their wants and what their concerns were. I wanted to know who they were as people. I would engage with them, getting to know them as a person and not just as potential clients. If I saw they had a question that I could help with I jumped in and answered it, but the one thing I did not do, was sell to them! The reason for this is simple.... people hate to be sold to. They want to feel that you are there for them… not just because you have dollar signs in your eyes but because you truly care. ‘What goes around comes around’…’What you put out, you get back’…I believe in this. By helping my new friends and followers find solutions to their problems I soon became the Social Media ‘Expert’.
www.ginabellinc.com
By listening, engaging and posting comments I created trust and confidence that I knew what I was talking about. I started to create a following that was growing and expanding…They were recommending me to their friends and followers. I was energized, I felt rewarded with every post and comment that I made and all the feedback I was given and I wasn’t even getting paid for it…YET. I knew that if something made me this excited and alive then I must be on the right track. How could something that made me feel so good not give back to me in the end?
I’ve had amazing growth. Less than 1 year later most of the businesses I started following in the beginning I have either met in person, networked with, done training or have been referred by. I am pleased to say that I am lucky enough to help other people find their own success through my passion. Now you’re probably wondering where the S&M comes in…well it doesn’t…other than Social Media doesn’t have to be painful…it was just a play on words to get your attention. Did it work?
I started to teach people to use the information I taught on the Social Media Platforms and empower themselves; to learn the tools and apply them to their own business. The key to success in Social Media is by doing it, to not be afraid, and to know that there are no mistakes just answers. The results were amazing…my clients were using Social Media platforms that they were too afraid of trying before or just didn’t have the time to learn on their own. Their excitement and success was growing as they took the same steps I took when my journey began. To date I am still under $500 in advertising. Every month since I started my Social Media business

Ways to Get More Done...
by Nika Stewart Get more done. Get more done. Every entrepreneur wishes they could squeeze more into every day. While we all have the same amount of hours in a day, some people seem to fit more in. How are these time geniuses getting so much done? Being a mom has forced me to be more resourceful in order to master my time. I will not give up my entrepreneurial spirit, but I won’t sacrifice family needs, either. Since I have more priorities to fit into every day, I need to get business tasks done extremely efficiently. This is a list of five ways that I am able to get so much done – while keeping my freedom and flexibility.

S.A.D. This is step seven in the Laptop Mom S.U.C.C.E.S.S. System: Systemize, Automate, Delegate. EVERY necessary business task must be systemized, automated, or delegated. Every one. (And if the task is NOT vital, it should be deleted.)
BOUNDARIES Set boundaries and stick to them. Family time is family time. Self-care time is sacred. Business time is for working on your business. We actually get much more done when we are totally focused on one thing—and not multi-tasking.
LEVARAGED TOOLS Take advantage of tools that multiply the impact of what you are already doing. You spend dramatically less time—and reach vastly more people—when you make use of helpful technology, like autoresponders, social media schedulers, and automated file delivery systems.

Whatever you are doing, find the simplest way to do it. Strange how we purposely make things harder for ourselves. Look at your business tasks and simplify everything!
Perfectionists: listen up! The best thing you can do to achieve time mastery is to follow this mantra: Good enough is good enough. Say it every day. Breathe. It will all turn out better than you could ever have imagined. Implementing just ONE of these ideas will skyrocket your efficiency, which translates to more income for you. Now go get more done, and enjoy your day! The Cure
The
for...
CopyCat Brand by Stephanie Pollock
It happens easily enough. You're searching online for ideas, checking out your competition, and just getting a sense of your industry's best practices. You stumble across a website that just lights you up. It speaks to you in a way most don't. You're transfixed. Pretty soon you're reading through every page of the archives. OR You’re spending WAY too much time watching, listening and reading everything your peers, competitors and mentors are publishing. You’ve got 50 tabs open in Safari as you jump back and forth between sites. And then the inevitable happens. You start to copy them. It can be a subtle copy or blatant cut and paste. It can happen unconsciously or deliberately.
17
Either way—digital copycatting is not pretty. (And it’s a very un-rebel like thing to do!) Here’s the truth. When you copy someone's work —you are copying a piece of their brand. That unique brand that makes them—them. This is bad for business on a number of fronts—you’re certainly not going to make friends doing this, but more importantly, you’re seriously diluting the impact and income you could make from your brand, if you just stayed true to you. Great brands are an authentic, powerful expression of the person and what they stand for. Great brands have done the hard work to get clear on their big message, who they serve and why it matters. Great brands have a unique voice and point of view that is infused throughout their website, their offers and their brand personality.
www.ginabellinc.com
As a rebel’preneur on the rise, this is what you want too for your brand. So if you're guilty of a little digital copycatting (and hey, we’ve ALL been there at one point), cop to it, and start focusing on building Brand You vs. a Me-Too brand. Here are a few tips to help:
1 2 3 4 5
After you’ve written or recorded something (and before you hit ‘publish’) ask yourself, “Does this sound like me?" and “Is this how I want my brand to come across?" When you start writing—shut down all the web pages, newsletters etc. of others. If you're going back and forth between your page and theirs, it's easy to inadvertently swipe copy. Take a media break. Consider unsubscribing. Carve out some clear, quiet creation time JUST for you and your great ideas (yes, you have great ideas). If writing trips you up, record your posts and then transcribe them. It's often easier to talk as ourselves than to write as ourselves. Remember, your brand's essence, voice and style isn't something you have to go out there and find. You already have it—it's just about claiming it and stepping into it.
As you uncover and step into more of your own unique brand, you'll notice that you're less likely to look to others, and more able to just reach within and pull out your own greatness. ROADMAP Master the rules...then create your own!
"Women who rarely
follow the rules
make history!"
GINA BELL the originalRebel ’preneur! What if your resistance to follow the herd, your desire to do it your way and the determination to forge a new path was your most valuable strength as an entrepreneur? I’m here to tell you – it is! This doesn’t mean you’ll have to take the scenic route to success or risk re-inventing the wheel… It simply requires a deeper understanding of what makes the tried and true strategies tick so that you can rework them to fit the way YOU roll…
I call it an un-blueprint approach to marketing, success and life… reading between the lines to discover the essence of a successful strategy or system so that you can create an equal (even greater) outcome in a way that supports your desire to explore new territory, revel in your independence and truly pioneer a path to a better world. For rebelpreneurs, conformity is the ultimate sin. (And thankfully, it’s optional!) ...
Master the rules. Then, create your own.

...So, this begs the
question —
ARE YOU AN ENTREPRENEUR OR A Rebel ’preneur? ENTREPRENEURS...
Buy the right templates, tick all the right boxes, and hide their true personalities behind slick sales copy & gimmicks. Trot along at a respectable pace, building their mailing lists over months...years...even decades. Try to be everything to everyone, and dilute their message to appeal to the masses. “If everyone likes me, everyone will buy what I’m selling — right?” Want to fill their calendars with as many client sessions as possible, to feel soughtafter and secure.
REBEL’PRENEURS... Shine with authenticity, target their ideal allies, and let their true gifts shine — even if it means breaking a few tried-’n-true Internet marketing rules. Forge game-changing partnerships with established experts, skyrocketing their mailing lists from 0 to 2,000 — in just a handful of days. Honor the fact that they’re NOT for everyone — and that attracting fanatical customers & advocates only happens when messages get lean, mean & radically honest. Define “prosperity” on a number of levels — and are devoted to breaking the time-formoney trade-off, with products that create FREEDOM, as well as cashflow.

First, my Rebel’preneur Soul Sister, I must warn you…
“I don’t just do it… I REALLY do it!” I’m a high-achiever. It’s how I roll… and I would be willing to bet the statement summarizes how you show up in business and life too! Yes? The provocative questions that you’ll find inside this guide are designed to help you navigate your true business desires AND, they go much deeper than what you’ve likely encountered before… (You know, the info-crap and out-dated approach that you’ve never been able to embrace – and for good reason!) Please don’t let the bigness of the guide overwhelm you. And, don’t shelf it for later either. Instead, allow it to inspire you… to activate you… to bring forth the EXPLORER in you, the part of you that longs for deep self-discovery and transformation. Until now, you’ve barely scratched the surface of all that is possible for you. Let’s face it. As a rebel’preneur you find yourself on a perpetual inner and outer journey because you are compelled to forge ahead seeing a better world, knowing that your hopes, values and preferences are out there – rather than within the status quo of conformity and mediocrity. So rather than allow the rule-bender in you to get in your own way, allow this essence of who you are to become a catalyst to the greater levels of success you dream about… It’s time for a dream come true
don’t ya think!? Let’s do this…
Step One: Identify Your Greatest Strengths: Most women are quick to share their flaws and faults yet stumble when asked, “So, what do you think are your greatest strengths?” Helping women to recognize the value of who they are and boost their self-belief is one of the most mutually rewarding things I do as a coach. “We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?”~ MARIANNE WILLIAMSON
A thought-provoking question… “Who are you NOT to be?” A powerful declaration… “I am brilliant, gorgeous, talented & fabulous!” Imagine if everyone in the world allowed their strengths to shine.
What if YOU started to lead with yours? What could your life and biz be like then? Start now: Applications to The Rebel’preneur Mastermind Crew will be accepted starting Jan 1, 2012. Get on the Rebels-in-Waiting list to be among the first in line at: http://www.GinaBellInc.com/rebel-in-waiting

Step One: Identify Your Greatest Strengths: continued from page 3 “What are three of your greatest strengths?”
(Hint: think about things that feel tricky to others -- but effortless for you. Tasks where you lose track of time, 'case you're so darn engaged. Actions that leave you feeling energized, not weakened. Those are your strengths.)
1 2 3
Is your business anchored on these three strengths? (Translation: are you using them -- and getting paid top-dollar for them -- every single day? Or, not so much?)
If not, what do you believe would be different about doing (and being in) business if your business WAS anchored by your strengths? What do you like about yourself? What do you enjoy doing? What do you yearn to do? What are some unusual skills you have? What do you get complimented on most?
RECOMMENDED RESOURCE: “Strengths Finder 2.0” by Tom Rath In the 2001 management book "Now, Discover Your Strengths”, Gallup introduced StrengthsFinder. The book helped millions discover their top five talents. In "StrengthsFinder 2.0" Gallup unveils the new and improved version of its popular online assessment. With hundreds of strategies for applying your strengths, "StrengthsFinder 2.0" will change the way you look at yourself— and the world--forever. http://www.strengthsfinder.com Applications to The Rebel’preneur Mastermind Crew will be accepted starting Jan 1, 2012. Step One: Identify Your Greatest Strengths: continued from page 4 When coaching my clients in the areas of strengths, goal-setting and self-honesty, I’m on the lookout for things you may gloss over to help you dig deeper into the specifics. Often our strengths are so taken for granted that you may not even be aware of them.
It’s time to acknowledge and celebrate the power of—YOU! The day I received support in this area, I told Alexandra (a.k.a. wordsmith extraordinaire) that I felt like I was in the scene from How the Grinch Stole Christmas where the Grinch’s heart - and in my case, self belief - grew 10 sizes that day! Thinking back, that was an understatement. Seeing myself through her eyes, in the words she wrote for and about me, was life and business altering. The words were true in every sense and yet so far beyond anything I could have ever declared for myself. Talk about bumping up your bold… Thanks again Alexandra!!
xo
… Now, it's your turn!
Step Two: Setting Goals with Confidence: Confident goals are:
1 OUTCOME FOCUSED. 2 IN LINE WITH YOUR VALUES.
Once your WHY is understood (AND it’s a good & enthusiastic WHY) you’re 90% there!
The more a goal aligns with your inner or core values – the EASIER it will be to
achieve. Note: You can achieve goals that don’t align with your values but it’s usually harder and less satisfying.
3 4
STATED IN THE POSITIVE. i.e. “I want healthy fingernails” rather than “I want to stop biting my nails” SMART:
• • • • •
Specific – so you know exactly what you are trying to achieve! Measurable – so you know when you have achieved it! Action-oriented – so you can DO something about it! Realistic – so it IS achievable! Time-Bound – so it has a deadline making it real instead of an intangible good idea

Step Two: Setting Goals with Confidence: continued from page 5
Focus
ON THE
Outcome:
When it comes to setting goals (and achieving them – or not) self-honesty is critical. You are here – like it or not. Radical self-honesty will expose self-deception and empower you to get out of your own way once and for all. Ready?
What do you is it that you REALLY want? Dig deep…
What is the SPECIFIC OUTCOME that you are looking for?
What is the PAIN for you of NOT achieving your goal?
Align WITH YOUR
Values:
Can you confidently say yes to the following four questions?
Is this goal in line with your life vision/overall life-plan? If you don’t know, what’s your gut-feel? Is this goal in line with your values? Ask yourself what’s REALLY important to you in life - will this goal help you achieve more of that? How?
Are the goals something YOU truly want, or something you think you SHOULD have or SHOULD be doing? If it’s a SHOULD, it may be someone else’s dream…
When you think about your goal does it give you a sense of deep contentment or ‘rightness’, happiness, excitement? These are good signs that it’s a healthy goal. Step Two: Setting Goals with Confidence: continued from page 6
Embrace Radical Self-Honesty: If you could have the goal RIGHT NOW – would you take it?
How does this goal fit into your life/lifestyle? Think time, effort, commitments, who else might be impacted?
What RESOURCES do you already HAVE to help you achieve your goal? (things, people, contacts, personal qualities, skills, info, finance etc).
Create a list!
What RESOURCES do you NEED to help you achieve your goal?
Create a list!
GOALS are designed to INSPIRE YOU not to beat yourself up with… Now, take a moment to get very clear - and honest - in your mind (and on paper!) what being unstuck will look like, feel like, be like…

THE
Hidden Danger OF A P assion-Based Business: BURNOUT Do You DARE Take A CREATIVE POWER Sabbatical? by Laura West You love having a business centered around your passion. But what about when you add personal stress, financial pressure, and fast-paced changes in the Internet marketing industry? Burn out. Yikes. That’s a scary place to be for a passionbased business owner. Without your passion, what do you do? How will you make your money and support your family? What about that burning dream to be independent and financially free? OMG – What about fulfilling your purpose!
I know this one firsthand: financial pressures; selling our house; husband finally got a longterm project but now is traveling four days a week; sons who are amazingly athletic, but require me to practically have a part time job as a shuttle bus driver. .. I decided to take a big risk. Power down. None of it made sense on paper, but I knew in my soul that I needed to stop the merry-go-round of go-go-go and access my own rich, deep, creative power on a new level.
You can’t work harder, longer, or faster. There are no more hours.
My solution: A 3-Month Creative Power Sabbatical.
Intuitively you know it’s going to take something more. But you just don’t have more to give!
For 90 days, I’m going to remember what it’s like to relax and do nothing. Allow my nervous system to calm down and get centered again. Find my deeper sense of intuition I know I can depend on – no matter the circumstances. Explore my creativity in new ways with artist dates, walking in nature, photography, art journaling, and… who knows what else.
The surprising secret to more success is to SLOW DOWN. It’s time to let go, nurture your energy, and trust that THIS is the path to sustaining your passion-based business over the long haul.
19
www.ginabellinc.com
The success tools of the future that will make a difference in our flourishing success will be relying on our sense of intuition to guide us, tapping into creative and innovative marketing ideas that leverage the new technology, owning our unique authentic personal brand (i.e. quirks, eccentricities, weirdness) that make us stand out and be real to our customers. But you can’t do this when you’re going a million miles an hour. You have to slow down in order to have big leaps.
You’re having trouble finding the “oomph.” Your Creative Power Sabbatical might be an afternoon or a day off, the WHOLE weekend off, a couple of weeks away, or, like me, putting your business on “low vibe” and taking a few months off.
I challenge you to love yourself and your business enough to take care of you and get your passion back with your own Creative Power Sabbatical. How can you slow down to go fast?
So, what are the signs of a passion-based business burnout? You are exhausted when you think of marketing. Your nervous system feels like it’s always on high speed: flipping back and forth between Facebook, Twitter, email, the computer, the phone, your calendars, to-do lists, and back again. You don’t even really know what you would do on a day off. You love your work so much you can’t imagine doing anything different, but something is missing.

THE
E
Do You Possess These
5 Essential Traits? by Ellen Britt
If you’ve been in business for any length of time, you’ve most likely heard of setting S.M.A.R.T. goals for yourself, meaning goals that are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely. And while having smart goals is certainly important, being a “smart” entrepreneur is absolutely vital to your success.
Let’s get a closer look at each of these and see if you qualify as a S.M.A.R.T. entrepreneur:
1
I’m not talking about brainpower like an Einstein here (although the majority of entrepreneurs I know are no slouch in the brain department!), but I’m referring to specific traits that every successful entrepreneur already has or is willing to cultivate. Entrepreneurs are…
STRATEGIC MANAGERS ACTION ORIENTED RESILIENT TRUSTWORTHY
21
STRATEGIC—Of course, being able to think strategically about your business is crucial. But being strategic not only means thinking strategically, it also involves cultivating a strategic mindset. As a strategic entrepreneur, you should always have the Big Goal of your business in your mind, but you remain flexible as to exactly how you are going to achieve it. Even though you plan carefully, you are able to bend according to current circumstances.
2
MANAGER—If you hope to be a successful entrepreneur, you have to learn how to manage, and this applies most strongly to managing yourself…your time, your energy, your focus and your day-to-day commitment to your business.
www.ginabellinc.com
When you own and run your own business, you are accountable to no one but yourself. And you may find that when it comes to being your own boss, you really need to fire yourself! Do what it takes to become accountable to YOU.
3
ACTION ORIENTED—The best idea in the whole universe won’t do you any good if you don’t take action on it. Learn to get your ideas out there quickly and release the thought that every idea has to be perfect. Test everything quickly. In other words, fail fast, learn from that failure, correct your course and try again.
successful entrepreneur I 4 RESILIENT—Every know has had to bounce back from failure. And many of us have had to come back after multiple failures. Running your own business is all about solving problems. When you get one solved, another appears. The trick is to get used to seeing these problems as challenges and just simply expect them. Resiliency, physical as well as mental, is the key trait that separates the successful entrepreneur from the dreamer.
5
TRUSTWORTHY—Your team, your business colleagues, your joint venture partners and your clients and customers must believe in you. Ask yourself these questions: Do you deliver on your promises? Do you do what you say you are going to do? Are you providing superior value to your customers? Do you give credit to others when it is due?
Of course, there are other traits successful entrepreneurs have in common, but for now you can’t go wrong by working to become a S.M.A.R.T. entrepreneur. BeBold. BeBrazen. BeYou... by Dawn Goldberg You have a product or service that solves a problem and that people need, and you want to share that. But then it comes down to communicating with your target market… that’s where you get stuck. You have to write blog posts, ezine articles, sales pages, campaign emails, affiliate materials… the list goes on. You have trouble taking that concept of your valuable product or service and confidently and powerfully communicating it.
You doubt that anyone cares, will buy, will sign up…. (And you will have fewer sales and sign-ups to your list—because they won’t feel compelled. They won’t believe. Because you don't.) And so you stay small. Which gets you nowhere. Sure, there are models and templates to help you with the technical aspects of what you need to write. But here’s one thing they don’t do: they don’t have room for your soul.
You feel like you are not connecting with your market. (And you’re not.)
THAT – the soul piece – is what’s going to allow you to connect, reach more people, make a difference.
You don’t feel like anything you have to say is worth reading. (It’s not UNworthy; it just needs more of you.)
To really write from your soul, you have to claim the bigness of who you are and what you do in your business.
23
www.ginabellinc.com
Because if there’s any part of you that’s playing small, wanting to hide, afraid of rejection and what people think, you can’t very well write from that place. So, what if you believed wholeheartedly in yourself? What if you truly accepted that you and your business are needed in the world? What if you stood up, shoulders back, chest out, arms open wide and yelled, “I need to be here! The world needs me! Watch out! Here I come!” What if you chose to give all yourself and put it all out there? What would your writing look like then? People will be attracted to you. They’ll mimic the woman in When Harry Met Sally: “I want what she’s having.” They’ll watch you. They’ll pay attention. They’ll take you seriously. They’ll notice what you’re doing. So, how do you go from being small to stepping into your bigness? Be bold. Be brazen. Be you.
Breathe the following statements your body. Let your heart believe them. Act from them. I am confident in expressing who I am. I am different from all the others – boldly so. I am confident in my uniqueness, not ashamed. I am proud to express that uniqueness, to claim it. I claim the beauty in me and in what I do. I am bold. I am brazen. I am me.
When you write from that place, the world is going to stand up and take notice. So feel that, youness… revel in it. Do whatever you need to do to be in that place. Journal. Create a soul map. Call your voice mail and record a lovely message about how wonderful you are. Phone a girlfriend and say, “Okay, tell me about my bigness. Tell me what I need to do to be bold, be brazen, be me.” Whatever you need to do to claim how big you are… do that. And then, when you are in that place, write from your soul.
Dawn Goldberg has been working with writing and the writing process all her life, from teaching English to working with companies to improve their communication and marketing. She realized that business owners struggled with writing powerful, compelling words to share what they do with their market. So, she created the Writing From Your Soul system to help business owners connect, reach more people, and make a difference. HOW DOES
Life Purpose APPLY
to BUSINESS?
by Tina Games People often ask me, “What is life purpose? And how does it apply to my business?" Life purpose is all about how you show up in the world—in a very authentic, intuitive, divinely-inspired way. Life purpose is a life thread—a personal energy, a set of values—that weaves its way through our life tapestry. It shows up in our parenting, in our relationships, in our choice of hobbies, in our community service, and in our professional work. Each and every one of us has a divine right to show up in the world as our most authentic self—and this includes our business. The truth is—our businesses are an extension of us.
25
www.ginabellinc.com
As rebel'preneurs, we are highly-drawn to creating authentic businesses that represent who we are at our core. It's part of “our stamp on the world”—“our signature.” It’s something that’s completely unique to us. When we're operating from a place of authenticity, the world just feels right and life begins to flow more effortlessly. Magical things start to happen. Synchronicities start pouring in by the dozens and doors of opportunity start to open. It's the universe's way of saying, "You're on the right track!" When we’re in our flow, we begin to attract the right clients. We begin to put out the right kind of offerings. We begin to be defined as an expert in what it is we LOVE to do. So when we look at the business choices we make every day, are they authentic? Do they honor who we REALLY are? And how do these choices impact others? As a Life Purpose Intuitive, I’m a lover of story. I genuinely love hearing women tell their life stories. Through their words, through their laughter, through their tears—I hear threads of meaning, threads of purpose. And I use my divine gifts to
weave these threads together in a way that unveils a deeper meaning. It’s this meaning that brings the “ah-ha” moments, the deep understanding, the desired clarity that leads to divinely-inspired actions. It’s this meaning that paves the way to choosing an authentic path of work. It’s this meaning that sparks the richness of living a life on purpose, both personally and professionally. When we are being authentic, we shine. Our smile becomes wider. Our eyes become brighter. Our hearts become bigger. And everyone benefits —including our clients. This is all part of the “life purpose ripple effect.” When we’re living from our life purpose, we’re able to make divinely-inspired choices that FEEL right, and that have the potential to touch lives in a meaningful, powerful way. And when we're touching lives, we're creating legacies. We all have a life purpose legacy. What's yours? And is it showing up in your business? If it's not, then you're not being true to yourself—or your business.
Tina M. Games is the author of Journaling by the Moonlight: A Mother's Path to Self-Discovery (an interactive book with an accompanying deck of 54 journaling prompt cards). As a Life Purpose Intuitive, she is the "Moonlight Muse" for women who want to tap into the "full moon within" and claim their authentic self, both personally and professionally. Through her signature coaching programs, based on the phases of the moon, Tina gently guides women from darkness to light as they create an authentic vision filled with purpose, passion and creative expression.

Discovering YOUR
S plendor...
Brilliance that can Heal the World by Margo DeGange Giving is the new getting! Actually, it’s always been that way, but lately people are waking up to what that really means. We don’t give to get. The giving IS the getting! Discovering your splendor and emitting brilliance that heals begins with giving—to self, of self, and to others. The only way we’ll positively change the world is if we each stand up to contribute the way we were intended to. You were born with a purpose! In your life and work, this purpose can and should be brought to YOUR universe FULL THROTTLE!
INCLUDE OTHERS IN A PURPOSE BIGGER THAN YOURSELF!
You can discover your splendor and emit your brilliance through a magnificent process I’ll share now, based on the word G.I.V.I.N.G.
VISION MAP EACH LIFE STAGE!
GIVE YOURSELF PERMISSION
Your vision (more on that in a bit) is about YOU—what you aspire to and hope to accomplish, but your PURPOSE is about OTHERS. In terms of the human component, what’s within you that makes you come alive and deeply touches lives? Perhaps you’re a connector, an inspiring teacher, a healer. When you identify it, you’re a HUGE step closer to letting your brilliance significantly shine!
You have so many amazing ideas and projects floating around in your head to organize, edit, and bring to self and others. Get it all down on paper through Vision Mapping.
Don’t wait for some “authority” to say you can! Many “leaders” will hold you back if you wait for their permission, while droves of people are in desperate need of what you have to offer!
Take out a sheet of paper. On top draw five circles horizontally. In each, write a goal, project or idea you want to move on soon. Leave the others for later.
You’re likely passionate in several areas, and good at many things. But you’re not passionate about everything you’re good at! Find that golden opportunity where your deepest passion meets with your greatest skills. Then get out there and BRING IT!
Directly beneath each circle, brainstorm a list of all tasks and activities needed to complete that goal or project. As you move on each, cross out the completed tasks. Once your goals or projects are realized, Vision Map again with new ones.

INSPIRE YOURSELF BY RE-FRAMING!
NO COMPETITION HINDERS YOU!
Thoughts and words are energy that attract like energy and drive action. All actions produce results. If we’re fearful, we attract negative energy and produce negative results. We remain stuck!
There’s only one YOU. There’s never been and never will be another. In your life and work, you have gifts to bring to a hurting world. Don’t look to the left or right. Keep your eyes focused straight ahead, and adorn yourself with the confidence that YOU are a necessity for others. Be YOU, and be it FULL THROTTLE. That’s the glorious place of no competition!
You may know what you want, but fear is often reflected in what you think and say. Eventually you manifest what you DON’T want. Positive thoughts and words are high energy attractors. Re-Framing helps you shift from what you fear you don’t have, to what you positively want. Try this re-framing exercise: • List a fear that nags you. • Look within for your hidden desire. Re-write it in terms of what you WANT. • Re-frame what you want into a completely positive statement, without negative words (such as “no”, “don’t, “I wish”, or “I want a _____ that is not ___”).
GO FOR IT! Action is where it’s at! No plan, purpose, or vision comes into being in a real and meaningful way without directed, purposeful, consistent action. Using your Vision Map and new mindset of Giving is the New Getting, decide everyday to do one small step to bring your brilliance and splendor to your world—to heal, to connect, and to forever be a giver!
By making totally positive statements, you invite what you want to show up in your life. Shed the negativism and all that’s left is the positive, high-energy desire!

Rebellious Way
THE
toBuild a BUSINESS!
by Carla Young Despite what it says in the movies, building a sustainable business is not a matter of “If you build it, they will come.” Business does not magically land on your doorstep for you to pick up like the morning newspaper each and every day. Of course, you say—“Everyone knows you can’t just open your doors and expect a flood of new customers.” And yet so many entrepreneurs take exactly that approach to marketing their business and generating sales.
29
Every single step along the way requires you to reach out and connect with potential customers. It’s not just a matter of building a web site, printing up brochures and business cards or creating a profile on social media. You still need to go out and GET the business. So how do rebel’preneurs go about getting business? Not the way you would expect and certainly nothing like the traditional way people generate business: they pick who they want to work with and focus on them.
www.ginabellinc.com
THE REBELLIOUS WAY TO GENERATE BUSINESS. . .
1 2 3 4 5
DECIDE WHO— Not the who as in “Who is my target audience or what type of person is my ideal client?” Decide who as in the exact person or company you want to work with.
FIND AND CONNECT —Maybe you already know them or have a key contact in that company and maybe you don’t. Either way it doesn’t really matter. The next step is finding them and connecting with them because you need to build a relationship before you ask for the business.
SHARE YOUR VALUES —What
value system drives you to connect with them? Why do you want to work with this particular individual or company and how does it connect with your value system?
TELL THEM WHY —Explain exactly why you want to connect with (and work with) them. Be specific. It shouldn’t sound like a mission statement, but rather a fan reaching out to connect with their favorite flavor of ice cream.
PUT TOGETHER AN IRRESISTIBLE OFFER—After you have built a solid relationship, it’s time to ask for the business. How you go about doing this depends on your style, but it’s better if it comes in the form of an offer to help.
Why this rebellious approach works is because you are focusing on generating the business you want with the people you want to work with instead of accepting whatever business comes your way as the result of your marketing and networking efforts. Often where entrepreneurs get into trouble is when they take on clients or projects because it pays the bills and as you would expect, they deliver the same amount of care and attention. Compare that to the enthusiasm you bring to working with a company that you are a fan of. The proof is in the profitability! 6 WAYS
TO Author YOUR
bundance!
A
by Adela Rubio There’s ONE thing that you can do which will totally change your relationship to abundance… Take responsibility for it! That doesn’t mean you go full steam with any Type A tendencies. Instead, choose to consciously partner with life and how YOU can be the architect of abundance in your world. Imagine the ways in which you can source abundance not only for yourself, but also for all of
31
the people whose lives you impact. It doesn’t matter how you share your abundance, model it, or gift it to others. The important thing is to come to experience yourself as the author of your own wild abundance. Abundance is your natural state. It is already here. The only ‘problem’ is the gap between ‘believing this might be true’ and ‘experiencing it as your reality.’ Here are 6 ways to bridge the gap:
www.ginabellinc.com
1 2 3 4 5 6
Expect Abundance. Focus on the ever present stream of abundance and feel the inevitability of your access to it. Wealthy people have this default mindset. Deliberately put yourself in the path of the abundant avalanche of money that is flowing through the economy. Step into the stream of money expectantly, and welcome it! Be a Philanthropist. Imagine that the greater your generosity, the more your resources increase! Resist the urge to hoard, or hold onto things. Keep it moving. Use your prosperity in the service of others. The more you practice being abundance itself, the more abundance can take up residence in your world. Align Your Money With Your Values. The more that you are willing to align your money — how you make it and how you invest it— with your passionate interests and deep seated commitments, the quicker your relationship to abundance shifts. Your money becomes a tool for transformation. Invoke the Feeling of Abundance. Let’s say you’re a prolific writer. No sooner do you sit down to write than the words start pouring through you onto the page. Now, suppose that your cash flow is not particularly in movement. Invoke the feeling and flow of your writing when you are feeling a cash crunch. Abundance is abundant, it doesn’t matter what area of your life is impacted by a limiting belief. You can choose to invoke the energy of abundance in ANY area of your life, including money. You can also apply this to anywhere else in your life that you want to experience more flow. Take Inspired Action. All the good feelings and intentions will not materialize in the change you are invoking if you do not take action. The key here is inspired action. When you are fully committed to the energy of what you’re wanting to bring into being it will move you into action. Abundance shows up in the material world through sharing, giving, allocating, distributing, nourishing, etc. Celebrate Your Abundance. Instead of focusing on what you don’t have, or what you can’t afford, celebrate what you do have. It’s easy to take every day things like electricity, air conditioning and your car for granted. Acknowledge the benefits of your lifestyle, afforded by your current level of abundance. Every time you pay a bill don’t think of it as spending money. See it as the circulation of abundance.
As you experience the abundance of your life, and gift it to others, you’ll find that nothing’s missing and there’s more. The natural world experiences every day splendor. Why not you?
