RECE\VEO FAH Silver Pond Limited Partnership C/o CHFA 999 West Street Rocky Hill, CT 06067 RE: Illegal Signage Dear Sir or Madam: • This follows up the Notice of Violation sent to your attention by the Assistant Town Planner about fluttering banners displayed at the Silver Pond Apartments in Wallingford. Sometime following that Notice, the Town Planner removed those signs which were planted within the highway right-of-way. They actually had supports in the ground to hold them steady. Those very same signs have now appeared on Silver Ponds' side of the highway barrier. Obviously, attention was not paid to the Notice. The type of signage is in violation of Section 6-9 E of Wallingford's zoning regulations and I don't mind telling you that my office does not generally seek court action, by way of injunction, to enforce the signage regulations, but this one bothers me because it was an "in your face" type of violation. It was only a matter of days before the fluttering flags were back up. I will tell you that if the kind of court activity described above is forced upon the Town, the injunction will seek out-of-pocket court costs of approximately $500.00 and attorney's fees. Please be a good citizen and make that unnecessary. Very truly yours,
Adam Mantzaris Corporation Counsel AMllm cc: Linda A. Bush, Town Planner Carabetta Management Silver Pond Apartments, Leasing Agent
