North Haven resident Yevgenia Wayne is among them. And her emotions are more raw than most.

Wayne once lived in Ukraine. She was a university professor, and taught art. She said the war makes her very sad.

This year, Pearce Real Estate is celebrating 65 years of serving the needs of residential and commercial clients. The Pearce brand of service extends to the community at large, supporting dozens of local charitable organizations, which the company has done since its founding.

In 1958, after a successful career in production and marketing at the A.C. Gilbert Company, the late Herb Pearce opened the doors to Pearce Real Estate.

Over the years, the firm has increased to seven residential and commercial offices in the greater New Haven and Shoreline areas.

Pearce Real Estate’s corporate headquarters remains in the company’s original building in North Haven.

Herb Pearce’s daughter, Barbara L. Pearce, is now chair and CEO of Pearce Real Estate. And under her guidance, the company has continued her father’s vision.

“We are so happy to be reaching yet another big milestone," Barbara Pearce said. "We owe it to our fabulous agents and staff, and to the loyal clients who keep coming back, generation after generation.”
