EDITOR'S NOTE: The following is a list of non-tenured teachers who received notice that their contracts with Wallingford Public Schools would not be renewed next fiscal year. Each educator on the list had his or her name read aloud at Monday night's Board of Education meeting as a requirement of state statutes regarding notifying non-tenured teachers by April 1. The school district's $88.9 million budget proposal for the 2010-11 school year, current足 ly in the hands of Mayor William W. Dickinson Jr., calls for a reduction of roughly 40 teaching positions. Though more than 100 names are on the list, it does not mean that all non-tenured teachers will lose their jobs. Variables such as certification and time with the distriet will also playa role in the corning months after Town Hall approves an education budget.
