REGISTRATION INFORMATION AND CANCELLATIONS
HOW TO REGISTER:
• Register online at www.recreater.com, click “Activities” and search the league of your choice by name or program #.
• Call 301-600-2936, have your program number (i.e. #24099) and credit card number ready.

You will receive a registration confirmation via e-mail after your registration is complete so please make sure your e-mail is current in our system. Be sure to verify your receipt for accuracy.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
We are able to offer reasonable accommodations, such as providing support staff to individuals with disabilities on an as-needed basis to assist in making the program a positive experience for the individual. To request accommodations, please call 301-600-2936 at least two weeks prior to the program start date.
REFUND POLICY:
Refunds for Sports League registrations must be made prior to the listed league registration deadline. There are no refunds for missed games/practices.
AGE POLICY:
Program participants must be the advertised age of the program before the program ends. All age requirements are set to benefit the participants and to make sure the gameplay is consistent and safe.
PROGRAM CANCELLATIONS/ WEATHER-RELATED CLOSURES:
Please refer to the league meeting dates in your Active Net account, or see your instructor on the first day of your league for a schedule. If there is a change in the schedule, you will be informed by Parks and Recreation staff of the update.
If you are not sure whether a game/ practice will be held, call our program cancellation line at 301-600-6291. During inclement weather, outdoor programs may be cancelled. Every effort will be made to make-up missed games. Refunds will not be granted for rescheduled games/ practices that are missed due to conflicts with personal schedules. The Frederick County Division of Parks and Recreation may cancel a program for any reasonable cause.
CODE OF CONDUCT & PROCEDURES
CODE OF CONDUCT
Frederick County Parks and Recreation (FCPR) is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all participants and guests. To promote safety and enjoyment for all, FCPR asks individuals to act appropriately at all times while they are visiting FCPR facilities or participating in FCPR leagues.
As a participant in our Leagues, you agree to:
1. Treat other participants, staff, spectators, and officials with respect at all times.
2. Refrain from the use of profanity or obscene gestures.
3. Follow all directions from officials and FCPR staff.
4. Respect the fields, rec centers, equipment, and facility amenities.
5. Promote sportsmanship, safety, and fun above winning.
6. Read and review the league rules, FCPR League Mission Statement, and facility policies.
FCPR has a discipline policy for conduct at recreation programs and facilities. Anyone that violates the Code of Conduct and are asked to leave the league or facility, will not be refunded. County employees are not responsible for league participants prior to, or after, a scheduled games.
FCPR will investigate all reported incidents. Suspension or termination of the FCPR privileges may result if there’s any Code of Conduct violation.
CONCUSSION AWARENESS:
The registration process for youth sports requires a review of the information on concussions and concussion awareness available on our website www.recreater. com/concussion. Participants must review the concussion awareness information prior to the first session in order to comply with the state law. If you are unable to review the concussion awareness information online, you must request a written copy from the Division of Parks & Recreation by calling 301-600-2936.
INHERENT RISKS:
Participants must acknowledge that there are inherent risks and dangers associated with recreation activities and must hold Frederick County, Maryland harmless from all claims for injuries, damage, or loss, which may result from you or your child’s participation.
IMAGE/MEDIA WAIVER:
Participants consent to Frederick County, Maryland’s use of the participant’s image and likeness as shown in any photographs, videotapes, motion picture film, or electronic images, and any audio recordings made of the participant’s voice in whatever way the County desires, including television, print and Internet websites. Furthermore, you consent that such photographs, films, recordings, electronic images shall be the sole property of Frederick County, Maryland. Participants have the option to submit a non-consent for the use of images of yourself or your child during online registration or by calling 301-600-2936.

With this helpful app, participants will receive all information they need from the league commissioner and coaches in the palm of their hands!
Parents/participants will receive an email invite from the league commissioner prior to the first practice, and all you have to do is accept.
After accepting, you will gain access to your team assignment, practice schedule, game schedule and more.
