@TAMU_IMSPORTS
If you don’t have a team to join but still want to play, that simply means you’re a free agent. We are here to help! Many sports have teams created just for those participants that don’t have a team. To learn more or to join:
2. Look on the IMLeagues home page and find the “league” titled “NEED A TEAM? SIGN UP HERE!” 3. Follow instructions in the description box to select the sport that you wish to play and ultimately to join a team that needs players! If you wish, there is another option to attempt to join a team on IMLeagues. You can show as a “Free Agent” in as many divisions within a league as you’d like (use the player-sign up drop-down menu on the top right of every page on IMLeagues). You can request to join teams or post information about yourself so teams can request to add you to their team.

While the Sport Clubs staff and the Department of Recreational Sports assist clubs in securing needed funds, facilities and equipment, the emphasis is on student leadership and development. Students are directly responsible for all aspects of operating and managing a successful, competitive organization. As a result, Sport Clubs present a unique opportunity for students to develop both athletic and leadership abilities. Since 1974, the Sport Clubs program has captured over 280 overall team and single-event national championships and hundreds of conference championships. For more information, the names of current club representatives, and Sport Clubs event schedules, visit the Sport Clubs Office in the Rec Center (room 250), call 979.862.1996, e-mail sportclubs@rec.tamu.edu, or visit our website at recsports.tamu.edu.

The Texas A&M Sport Clubs Association provides the opportunity to compete against clubs from other collegiate institutions at the state, regional, or national level in 36 different sports, and allows members to learn or enhance their skills in a recreational setting. Each club is administered by students, has practice times and facilities, and receives some monetary support. To help subsidize the cost of travel and equipment, clubs may charge dues and participate in fund-raising activities.
