Modern Municipal Waste Processing Technology

This waste processing system revolutionizes the renewable energy industry in several ways; • Large volume – up to 50 tons per 24 hour period. • Small footprint – the main machine fits on a 40 foot container base. • Low capital cost – affordable to small municipalities and industrial organizations. • Quick payback on investment – less than 2.5 years. Additional Benefits • • • •

Completely safe: no pressure, no hydrogen, no dioxins, no fly ash. Automatic system management, for the process and exhaust systems, Open feedstock abilities including all plastics and medical waste, Can also reclaim contaminated soil from landfill sites.

It is a continuous feedstock system – not a batch processing system. It will handle any combustible feedstock – mixed or separated. It is a continuous double pyrolysis system with super heated steam injection. The system is safe – no high pressures or hydrogen gas build up. Dioxins, sulfur and other toxic materials are removed safely. There are no air pollution problems. Eliminates the need for landfill. The machine is fully automated and operable by a small semi skilled staff. The system runs off its own bio gas. The by products are high grade fuel oil and carbon. Carbon and fuel oil quality are adjusted during machine operation. The fuel oil has low sulfur content. The highest quality carbon is produced in relation to the feedstock. Carbon to N220 or N330 standard is achieved with most feedstock. High grade activated carbon is achievable from some feedstock.

Fast processing, minimal energy consumption Complete treatment of organics, all plastics, rubber, wood and other typical commercial and municipal waste By products of the process is oil and carbon black powder. These are positive cash flow by-products., All toxins and heavy metals are collected for disposal Requires no flare off or landfill, free of air pollution and dioxins. Fully automated requiring only semi skilled labour.

Typical municipal waste is composed of the following materials, of which 7% is easily sorted and recycled. The remainder can be fed into the Wastech Systems plant for processing. From this typical composition, the two key biproducts created by this plant are Oil and Carbon Black. From the processing of 50 tons of raw materials, after typical hard material recycling is accomplished, the by-products that are available and collected within the plant are 12.3 tons of oil and 12.0 tons of carbon black.

The current market value for the manufactured bi-products is estimated at over $3,500,000 dollars annually. This value alone creates a return on investment for the equipment station of less than 2.5 years. Additional value added features include the collection of all other toxic materials, including heavy metals and mercury, all in the same process.

As a result of applying the Wastech System equipment at the holding station, other cash flow benefits include;

• Reduction of sorting processes where recyclable and non recyclable materials are handled several times (plastics, wood, medical waste). • Transportation expenses from the holding centre to the landfill site (vehicle fuel, insurances, maintenance costs, labor) and the CO2 emissions relating to the same transport, in dollars per ton. • Processing costs at the landfill, including onsite management of 50 tons of normally processed waste, in dollars per ton. • Tipping fees that may or may not apply. • Negative carbon footprint, Evaluation of carbon credits is straightforward

•Carbon credits are easily calculated and provide additional revenue where applicable. While these figures vary from state to state, country to country, the value of these benefits can be easily calculated for specific municipal waste and industrial waste market sectors.
