Knott Calder Winder Crook

The Development “In the midst of the undulating rural terrain between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales there rises abruptly a compact cluster of hills some forty miles in extent, very clearly defined by encircling valleys. This group is commonly known as the ‘Howgill Fells’.” “They are sleek and smooth, looking, from a distance, like velvet curtains in sunlight, like silken drapes at sunset; they are steep-sided but gently domed, and beautiful in a way that few hilly areas are.” – A. Wainwright, “Walks on the Howgill Fells”

The four designs provide a range of homes to suit a variety of family sizes, ranging from the two bedroom Crook homes to the four bedroom detached Calder and Winder designs whilst the Knott homes are available in three or four bedroom configurations. Whilst the designs may differ, the high standard of specification is common. All properties enjoy the benefits of mains gas, water and electricity as well as connection to the main sewer drainage. They are also among the most energy efficient homes we have built to date.

Sedbergh Sedbergh is situated overlooking the Lune Valley within the beautiful Howgill Fells. On the Eastern edge of the North Yorkshire National Park this small picturesque market town is some 11 miles East of Kendal and just South of the Lake District National Park.

Today, the town’s community of almost 3,000 people enjoys the unique scenery of the surrounding Howgill Fells. The landscape is characterised by deep hedgerows within a series of sharp ridges and deep valleys that the streams feeding the local River Lune call home. Local amenities include the prestigious school, a golf club, a tennis club and cycle routes as well as an array of traditional shops which, when paired with Wednesday’s popular outdoor market, makes for a bustling and popular town for residents and visitors alike. Surrounded by breathtaking landscape, the town is a popular base for walkers and cyclists thanks to an abundance of trails varying in degrees of difficulty. Together, Sedberghs’s nature, history and people have created a rare and special environment of immense beauty and character.

England’s Book Town A haven for lovers of literature, Sedbergh has been the Book Town for England since 2006, joining Hay-onWye in Wales and Wigtown in Scotland. Typically small, rural places, Book Towns are a community of businesses involved in the buying, selling, publishing and sourcing of books that provide bibliophiles with a veritable treasure trove of literary delights. Sedbergh doesn’t disappoint, offering no fewer than ten specialist bookshops open on several days every week.

Yorkshire Dales National Park Sedbergh is the largest town in the Yorkshire Dales National Park - one of a family of 15 national parks in the UK. The Park covers 1,762 square kilometres of countryside, straddling the central Pennines in North Yorkshire and Cumbria and is a living working environment, home to 20,000 people.
