Jan Moss, head teacher at Yardley Primary School, said:
“The children were very excited to
produce a piece of art that will on show for all to see in the new Swan Centre. It was also really interesting for the children to work closely with real life artists at We Are Frilly to learn how to turn a simple drawing into a piece of public art.” Jonathan Simpson, corporate affairs manager for Tesco, who commission the artwork, said: “This
scheme is hugely important to Yardley and we wanted to mark the occasion with a piece of artwork that would help demonstrate how far the Swan Centre has come and the huge transformation that has taken place here.”
