How to Create the Perfect Online Presentation
I’m sure we have all created a PowerPoint presentation before. But what if I told you that in today’s world where every second person is a technology whizz, templates and standard animations just don’t stick anymore. You need to think outside the box and focus on being creative and engaging.

Here are my five tips for breaking through the norm: 1. Templates FORGET TEMPLATES And if I could bold that text twice I would. It is so easy to choose a template, add a heading, a couple of pictures and graphs and boom there it is – a PowerPoint. But if you really want to get your message across you will need to do more than just the usual. Get creative and use different shapes to display your information, try different sized fonts and headings. This will make your presentation look more professional and add a personal touch.

2. Show, don’t tell A picture speaks a thousand words. Instead of having bullet points on every slide, ask yourself whether you can use a picture to get your message across instead. A background picture with just a couple of words helps to visualise the information and create a greater impact. 3. Interactive tools One of the best ways to keep your audience interested is to interact with them. Good webinar platforms will allow you to use polls and surveys throughout your presentation which lets you break up the dialogue, get live feedback and start a discussion. If you are thinking about using interactive tools make sure you insert a blank slide into your presentation as this makes for a clean background and prompts both you and the facilitator. www.redbackconferencing.com.au/redbacktalk/how-to-create-the-perfect-online-presentation/
4. Add colour The world looks better in colour. Play around with different background and font colours, and use icons instead of words to display your main talking points. This website has thousands of free templates and editing options to help you create whatever you want.
