Overview Through CYA’s Youth Leadership Development program, we aim to develop and to train College youth to be Servant Leaders concerned for the good of others. our members Through the years, we have seen good results come out of our effort to affect social change by touching lives, one young person at a time. For 2010-2011, CYA has witnessed its youth leadership development program bearing fruit in the lives of its members. The following CYA members have been recognized by various institutions for their extraordinary accomplishments. They share how CYA has been instrumental in their holistic formation during their college years.

Michelle was recognized as one of 2011’s Ten Outstanding Students of NCR and one of 2011’s 30 Outstanding Students of the Philippines. “Serving in CYA taught me to strive for excellence in service of God and others rather than for self-gratification.” Michelle is currently a volunteer youth worker of Christ’s Youth in Action.

Sword of The Spirit Asian Sub-Region Youth Workers Conference October 7 - 9, 2011 One hundred two youth workers were empowered and trained to reach out more effectively to young people. Delegates: Australia, India, Dagupan, Davao, Batangas, Manila, Bukidnon, Naga, Cagayan de Oro
The conference was divided into two parts; the conference proper and the recollection. The conference proper consisted of plenary sessions, workshops and group activities on leading the youth to conversion and maturity.
Key Learning: We have to reach out to the youth, nourish and train them, and use and send them out.
Key Learning: We want to bring young people into the fullness of discipleship, committed relationships and service.
Seniors’ Career Workshop Oct. 21, 2011
Twenty-eight graduating students participated actively in the Senior’s Career Workshop. They received input on handling transitions, facing challenges of a fresh graduate and making the right career choice through discernment. They were equipped with practical skills and tips for resume writing and job interviews.
During the Seniors’ Career Workshop, the participants were asked to create their personal mission-vision statement. This will serve as their guide as they make career choices.

Reb attended the Community Service Immersion last May 2011. Here, she gained confidence in herself and conviction in her faith.
This discovery inspired her to invite twenty classmates to share her experience. They attended the Crossroads Retreat 2011 where they made significant decisions like rejecting cheating and cursing. Moreover, Reb invited her friends to the Dare to Serve where they were empowered with vision and skills for service. They applied their learning when they participated and served the Aeta Community during the Mission Week 2011 in Pampanga.

During the mission week, Jam realized how he has been taking his blessings for granted as he witnessed how the Aeta children got so excited in eating Adobo. Jam attended the Mission Week last October 2011 where he had a significant life-changing experience. Before the Mission week, Jam would compare himself to others and think that he is less fortunate than them.
After the mission week, he decided to cook for his family out of gratitude for Godâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s blessings to him.
