About us
Red Doc Farm is excited to kick off 2023 with our inaugural semen catalog. The Sanchez family has been producing great beef genetics since 1979. In our effort to breed the best, we utilize cutting-edge genetic tools, test, and trials to identify the most profitable genetic packages. Feed efficiency testing, collection of carcass ultrasound, supported by actual harvest data, and use of DNA technology are just a few of the decision making tools used at Red Doc Farm. We have long been recognized for our innovative approaches to breeding profitable Santa Gertrudis genetics. Our program is focused on producing modern heat tolerant genetics with extraordinary carcass quality that perform at the highest level in heavily influenced Brahman herds as well as supply maximum heterosis in commercial Bos taurus based cowherds.
The cattle industry is a volatile business and in the coming years there will be challenges that will test economic sustainability for all industry members. The Red Doc sires presented in this catalog represent over four decades of advanced cattle breeding focused on genetics that will maximize returns on investment while optimizing performance under extreme environmental pressures.
Customer Testimonials
“AI has been the primary tool we have used to advance our cowherd to where it is today. With the use of semen carrying Red Doc Farm genetics, we have been able to expedite our goals. Red Doc Genetics are cutting edge and transfer the traits we desire onto their offspring and into our herd for generations. Red Doc Farm has been a great asset to our program and will continue to be.”
-Tony Creech, Creech Farms“We graze in southeastern Utah; our cattle run in elevations ranging from 5,000 to 10,000 feet. In the past 10 years drought conditions were more common and drier than normal in our already arid desert climate. We started searching for an outcross to our mostly Angus based herd in hopes to find a better suited fit for our range. We were lucky enough to find Red Doc. These cattle are easy fleshing, rugged, and still easy on the eye. The bulls have held up significantly better, the calves are easier fleshing, they wean faster, and the cross mothers are breeding back better. All this without giving up carcass traits. Thanks Red Doc Farm!”
