Wednesday Worship – October 7, 2020 The Order of Worship at 7:15 pm Tonight’s service of evening prayer was created for Lenten worship on Wednesday, March 25, when we were considering the tradition of daily prayer in the context of our everyday life, but just as the reality of our separation was dawning on us. The lessons recall the events of Holy Week that occurred in the evening. The music is Holden Evening Prayer, which has focused our worship during the Wednesday nights since. Though there will be no live prayers read aloud this evening, our prayers will indeed be live, rising up as incense in the litany. You may, as always, submit your prayer requests through the link on the viewing page. May this evening be a time of reflection on how God has brought us this far, and continues to unite us through technology and heartfelt community, even while we are separated physically. As you are comfortable, we encourage you to sing the hymns and to sing or speak the congregational portions of the liturgy in bold type.
