John is preceded in death by his parents Jim and Yvonne Hodnett and by his sister Ann Hodnett. He is survived by his sister Claire Hodnett, brother Jim Hodnett, sister in law Jan Hodnett, cousins Diana Hodnett and Richard Hodnett, and niece Elizabeth Barsalou. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.

John Wilmot Hodnett, of Snellville, Georgia died unexpectedly on July 26, 2022 after a brief illness. John was born on December 28, 1962 in Pensacola, Florida. He grew up in Pensacola and also lived in Toccoa, Georgia and Atlanta. He attended Stephens County High School in Toccoa and Auburn University. He was employed by TSI Solutions at the time of his death. John formed lifelong friendships, especially from his time in Toccoa. He was a generous, loyal, and kind friend and family member. John was passionate about music of almost all types. He also loved sports, dogs, biking, and beer. He was a keen observer of life and entertained others with his humor.
