Joy Shared on Easter through the Visitation Ministry

During the 11:30 worship service on Easter morning, you couldn’t miss Leona Fehn, 101, in her baby blue suit and smile on the front right side of the sanctuary. Her presence in worship was made possible with the help of Redeemer’s Visitation Ministry. Cocoordinator, Jeanne Merritt, called half a dozen transportation organizations until she found one that was open on Easter and able to transport a rider who uses a wheelchair. The other Visitation Ministry Coordinator, Peg Wyse, notified Leona’s son of our offer to transport Leona to worship. He was delighted and offered to cover the cost. Then on Easter morning, Leona’s regular Visitation Minister, Colin Walker, arrived early and rode with Leona in the van to Redeemer where they celebrated the resurrection of Jesus together. He is risen, indeed, Alleluia!
