We had a wonderful Commitment Sunday celebration on Reformation and an excellent response to our stewardship appeal, "Let the Vineyards be Fruitful." If you have not pledged yet, you can submit your pledge of support in a number of ways: Mail the commitment card you received in the mail back to the church. Deposit your commitment card in the offering plate on Sunday. Go to the Giving Page on our website. Email your pledge directly to our Financial Secretary with your pledge amount by the week, month, or year. If you did not receive a Commitment Packet, please let us know. Link to 2024 Brochure

Join us for Worship this Sunday | 9 am & 11 am Third Sunday of Advent Pastor Jonathan Trapp, preaching
Livestream Zoom Communion following postlude
The theme of the Day: “Rejoice always,” begins the reading from 1 Thessalonians. Isaiah and the psalmist make clear that God is turning our mourning into laughter and shouts of joy. “All God’s children got a robe,” go the words of a spiritual. It is not so much a stately, formal, pressed outfit as it is a set of party clothes, clothes we are happy to wear. We receive that robe in baptism, and in worship we gather for a foretaste of God’s party.
OFFICIAL RESULTS OF THE SPECIAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING | December 10, 2023 Sessions following 9am and 11am Worship Services and a Zoom-only session at 10:30am On December 10, 2023, the Congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Redeemer held its scheduled Special Congregation meeting. The agenda contained two items—one to modify the ELCR Constitution and the second to approve the 2024 Annual Budget. Both motions were approved unanimously by the congregation.

Elevate your tree with meaning! Luther Rose ornaments for sale at the Live Nativity table in the Sims Atrium & on the Redeemer Green during “A Midtown Christmas”. Support LCFM with a suggested $20 donation or more. Spread cheer & make a difference this season!
Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for? (Audience) Why should they care? (Benefit) What do I want them to do here? (Call-to-Action) Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining"!
Contributions to the Refugee family Visit the Sims Atrium table and "tree" with opportunities to contribute gifts and/or donations to the Aldabaan family, the refugee family the church supports through Inspiritus. Suggested donations include Walmart cards, Marta and Uber/Lyft cards and school supplies. We are no longer seeking furniture donations for the family. "If you have two coats, give one away," he said. "Do the same with your food." Luke 3:11 Luke’s words are ones we need to keep in mind this time of year. Redeemer does share food through the Lutheran Community Food Ministry, Wednesday dinners and Midtown Assistance Center. Now we have an opportunity to help with the first part of his message. For December Redeemer is doing our Annual Coat Drive for one of our ministry partners, Midtown Assistance Center (MAC). The drive will be held at Redeemer, beginning Sunday, December 3 through Sunday, December 31, 2023, in Sims Atrium, utilizing barrels or large plastic storage containers, labeled: MAC COAT DRIVE, for collection of gently used Men’s, Women’s and Children’s Outerwear (coats/jackets/parkas/etc.) for the MAC closet, to be offered to community members less fortunate during the cold winter weather. We are hoping to get donations early so they can provide coats to those in need as part of the Christmas giving for MAC clients. Your generosity at this holy time of the year will be greatly appreciated.
