Seventh Sunday of Easter Pastor Mark H. Larson, preaching

The theme of the Day: In these days between Ascension and Pentecost, we gather with the disciples in the upper room, waiting for the Spirit to transform the church around the world. In today’s gospel Jesus prays for his followers and for their mission in his name Amid religious, social, and economic divisions, we seek the unity that Jesus had with his Father. Made one in baptism, we go forth to live our faith in the world, eager for the unity that God intends for the whole human family.

MAC Food Drive

First a big thank you to all who supported the MAC 5K last Saturday. Redeemer tied with All Saints for most participants with 16 people who signed up for the race The MAC Food Drive for Redeemer is well underway. May is when the need really increases since families with school getting out. Children are not receiving free meals at school and that can put increased burdens on already tight budgets There are two bins on opposite sides of the Sims Atrium where food can be dropped off and then taken to MAC. There will be flyers in the Sims Atrium beside the bins. Redeemer has always been very generous in their giving to our neighbors in need and the need is even greater due to the increasing cost of living If you have any questions about the food drive. Please feel free to contact Richard Mauney at 404-775-3359 or richardemauney@gmail com Any support you can provide to MAC would be greatly appreciated Thank you!

Have you filled out your butterfly yet? Your Commitment to Volunteering

Throughout the month of May, until Ascension Sunday on May 21st, there will be a table in the Sims atrium with colorful butterflies and a host from the Faithful Connections Team. Pick a butterfly with the ministry you would like to serve in and write your name and email or phone number on it and place it in the basket.

The following week, a member of that ministry team will contact you. If you don't know where to start, ask the table host, or start by serving on Sunday in one of the following ways: lector, usher, communion assistant, communion set up or clean up, or hospitality host. Together, the world will see Jesus through Redeemer.
