COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

“In January 1982, Redeemer was asked by St Luke Episcopal Church if we would serve as an overflow warming location for neighbors without shelter whom they welcomed into their church as a refuge from unseasonably cold temperatures Redeemer responded by opening up Zittrouer Hall, and members began serving our guests pimento cheese sandwiches and coffee.

An uplifting 30 minute worship service with communion in the sanctuary and a message from Pastor Ron After worship, we will enjoy lunch, and one another’s company in Sims Atrium.

You’re invited to Equitable Dinners Atlanta! Lutheran Church of the Redeemer is hosting a meal on September 18th from 3 pm to 6 pm.

In commemoration of the 1906 Atlanta Race Massacre, we are inviting you to come and have meaningful conversations about how Atlanta's history connects to systemic issues today and inspire positive action moving forward together.

Fan of Georgia Tech? Love campus ministry? Just hungry? Join the team at Grace House for lunch. Hear the ways they serve college students today. Consider partnering with their important work RSVP at gracepeople.org/redeemer

After all, it’s rude not to offer one ’ s guests something to eat Redeemer’s Social Ministry (now called Community Engagement) recommended a one month pilot program for 50 guests each weekday, which the Congregation Council approved. Redeemer is now 500 months into the pilot program we now call the Lutheran Community Food Ministry

We hope to see you there! Please RSVP using this link: https://x.gldn.io/e/nEwebtASPsb

Since forming Svyati Duo in 2009 under the patronage for Sir John Taverner, cellist Rebecca Hepplewhite and organist Julian Collings have gained international acclaim for their concert performances and recordings. The concert is free, but donations to the “Friends of Music” will be accepted at the door.
