Master Planning Update

The creative and imaginative part of our master planning process is well underway. All nine of our Subject Area Groups have met, and our members are dreaming BIG for Redeemer! It is exciting to see the common themes that weave through the various sessions family life center, rooftop garden, alternative worship space, theater, outdoor classroom, covered outdoor concert space, music rooms, and even a coffee shop! These are only a few of the dreams that over two hundred of our members have discussed during this important visioning phase.

Our consultants continue to lead us through discerning how we can best develop our campus to enhance our ministries, strengthen our financial future, and enlarge our impact in this community and region Anyone in the congregation who was unable to attend one of the Subject Area Group Visioning Sessions is encouraged to attend our final gathering on October 2. This two hour visioning session will be both in person and online, and the insights and results will be posted on a special page on our website.

Final Meeting

· Catch All: Sunday, October 2, 12:30 PM | Rudisill Hall/Zoom

Sunday, September 25 COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT Sunday, we celebrate 40 years of Love that we call the Lutheran

Community Food Ministry.

“In January 1982, Redeemer was asked by St Luke Episcopal Church if we would serve as an overflow warming location for neighbors without shelter whom they welcomed into their church as a refuge from unseasonably cold temperatures Redeemer responded by opening up Zittrouer Hall, and members began serving our guests pimento cheese sandwiches and coffee.

After all, it’s rude not to offer one ’ s guests something to eat Redeemer’s Social Ministry (now called Community Engagement) recommended a one month pilot program for 50 guests each weekday, which the Congregation Council approved. Redeemer is now 500 months into the pilot program we now call the Lutheran Community Food Ministry Please join us in the Sims Atrium to hear and see how our 40 years of love for Lutheran Community Food Ministry has evolved to being “beyond soup ” and even pimento cheese sandwiches.
