If I say, ‘Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light around me become night, even the darkness is not dark to you; the night is as bright as the day, for darkness is as light to you. Psalm 139:11 12

You are not alone. You are loved. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. There is no place, no action, nothing in all of creation that can separate us from the love of God, and yet there are times we may not feel that love or feel worthy of it. This is the message the psalmist asserts when they are experiencing despair. Throughout this month, Lutheran Church of the Redeemer will declare God’s steadfast love, create space for healing, and provide suicide prevention training as we observe Suicide Prevention Awareness Month in partnership with the ELCA Southeastern Synod and Midtown Interfaith Contemplative Collective.

The Redeemer Concert Series opens its 2022 23 season with the London based Svyati Duo. Since forming Svyati Duo in 2009 under the patronage of Sir John Tavener, Rebecca Hepplewhite and Julian Collings have gained international critical acclaim for their concert performances and recordings Their concert engagements continue to take them throughout Europe, Asia and the USA, with performances in major venues including St Paul's Cathedral, Tokyo University and Hong Kong Cultural Centre Rebecca and Julian maintain a diverse and exciting repertoire, from Baroque sonatas through to romantic and contemporary works, and they are committed to performing music that displays the beauty and diversity of their unique instrumental combination Through their tireless search for repertoire they have discovered many unjustly neglected masterpieces, a number of which they have now recorded for Regent Records. They are also passionately committed to contemporary music and have commissioned many new works from leading composers. The concert is free, but donations to the “Friends of Music” will be accepted. Invite a friend and join us as we celebrate the gift that music is to our community. visit: https://www redeemer org/music/organ scholar program/

MUSICMASTER PLANNING

Upcoming Meetings Please Click Here to sign up for any gathering if you have not already expressed interest

Lutheran Church of the Redeemer is engaged in an exciting and comprehensive master planning process for the future of our entire campus. It is the next Faithful Step in a process that began with the development of our Strategic Plan in 2020, which calls us to “Grow Faithfully, Serve Boldly.” These words call each of us to grow spiritually and evaluate how we use our campus resources to pursue our vision and mission to create a community that, in word and deed, reflects the love of Christ. Our ministry teams and staff have been busy meeting with our Master Planning consultants completing an analysis of the current use of our facilities. Now that we have finished the analysis work, it is time to begin the creative, imaginative part of our planning. In the next few weeks, our consultants will lead us through discerning how we can best develop our campus to enhance our ministries, strengthen our financial future, and enlarge our impact in this community and region.
