NO QUE ACREDITAMOS? MULHERES E HOMENS SÃO IGUAIS EM SEUS DIREITOS. É sobre este princípio que se apoiam as políticas da NAMI. Nos propomos à busca pela superação das desigualdades de gênero que levam, apenas no Brasil, a uma morte de m lher vítima de violência doméstica a cada uma hora. Exigimos o respeito ao direito das mulheres sobre suas vidas e o rompimento do legado histórico de opressão por gênero nos planos pessoal, econômico, político e social.

WHAT DO WE BELIEVE IN? WOMAN AND MEN ARE EQUAL WHEN IT COMES TO THEIR RIGHTS. It is on this principle that NAMI policies are based. We propose a search for overcoming gender inequality, which, in Brazil alone, leads to the death of one woman every hour, as the victim of domestic violence.We demand respect for the right women have to their lives and demand that the historic legacy of gender oppression be broken in the personal, economic, political, and social spheres.

INTRODUÇÃO INTRODUCTION
Dos 700 artistas expostos no catálogo de artistas urbanos Streetartrio.com apenas 30 são mulheres, e destas, apenas duas são negras. A mulher negra corresponde a cerca de um quarto da população brasileira, concentrada nas faixas mais jovens, tendo menor expectativa de vida pela dificuldade de acesso aos serviços de saúde e maior exploração social e sexual, situações agravadas pelo preconceito que a população negra enfrenta em nosso país (Dossiê Mulheres Negras - Retrato das Condições de Vida das Mulheres Negras no Brasil, 2013).
Of the 700 artists being showed in the Streetartrio.com catalog of urban artists, only 30 are women, and of these, only two are black. Black women make up around one fourth of the Brazilian population, concentrated in the youngest age ranges and they have lower life expectancies due to difficulties accessing health services, and higher social and sexual exploitation, situations that are exacerbated by prejudices that the black population faces in our country (Black Women Dossier - Portrait of Life Conditions of Black Women in Brazil, 2013).

Enquanto as mulheres brancas buscam equiparar direitos civis aos dos homens brancos, mulheres negras carregam nas costas o peso da escravatura, ainda relegadas às posições subordinadas. Mas, a subordinação imposta socialmente à mulher negra não se limita à figura masculina, pois ela também se encontra em posição servil perante à mulher branca, situação que é bastante evidente ao se comparar dados acerca da inserção feminina no mercado de trabalho, onde a mulher negra assume cargos mais baixos, possui menor remuneração e é a primeira a perder o trabalho em momentos de crise econômica. A partir dessa percepção, reunida com o conselho NAMI de 2014, decidimos focar no feminismo negro como ponto de partida para todo pensamento dentro da organização e, assim, direcionar nossos projetos. A atenção e as atividades foram dedicadas às discussões de classe e etnia, buscando romper com a zona de conforto que o ativismo feminista branco cultiva, especialmente aquele que limitava sua ótica aos problemas das mulheres brancas com maior poder aquisitivo e status social. Tendo em vista que a desigualdade étnica é um perigoso agravante para a violência contra a mulher, em 2015 - um momento em que as vozes das mulheres brasileiras começaram a ecoar cada vez mais altas em busca de seus direitos - a NAMI lança o #AfroGrafiteiras. Além de criar novas lideranças no cenário urbano, o projeto potencializou as ações em busca pela equidade entre mulheres e homens, uma vez que modelou equipe e discurso com as necessidades reais das participantes do projeto. Pessoalmente, é emocionante para mim ver este grande e sério passo da organização, que me deixa bastante orgulhosa.

While white women seek the same civil rights as those of white men, black women carry the heavy load of slavery on their backs, and are still relegated to subordinate positions. But, the social subordination imposed on black women is not limited to male figures, since these woman also find themselves in servile positions with relation to white women, a situation that is quite evident when comparing data on female participation in the work market, in which black women take on lower positions, receive less pay, and are the first to lose work in moments of economic crisis. Perceiving this, and in the spirit of the 2014 NAMI recommendation, we decided to focus on black feminism as a starting point for our organization’s thinking, and to use this in guiding our projects. Attention and activities were dedicated to discussion of class and ethnicity, looking to break out of the comfort zone that white feminist activism cultivates, especially that type of activism that limits its scope to problems faced by white women with greater purchasing power and social status. Keeping in mind that ethnic inequality is an aggravating danger for violence against women, in 2015 - a moment in which Brazilian women’s voices started to echo louder and louder in the search for their rights - NAMI launches #AfroGrafiteiras (#AfroGraffitiWomen). In addition to creating new leadership in the urban landscape, the project enhanced actions for equality between women and men, since it modeled its team and its speech on the real necessities of the project’s participants. Personally, it is emotional for me to see this grand and serious step for the organization, and it makes me proud.

3.1 AFROGRAFITEIRAS AFROGRAFITEIRAS Em 2015, lançamos o #AfroGrafiteiras, um programa de formação em arte urbana da NAMI com o foco na expressão e promoção do protagonismo de mulheres afro-brasileiras dividido em quatro linhas de trabalho: a) arte urbana como veículo de comunicação; b) empoderamento a respeito das temáticas de gênero e etnia; c) empreendedorismo social, produção cultural e economia criativa; d) novas tecnologias de comunicação, informação e marketing viral. Ao fim do programa, a NAMI não havia somente descoberto artistas e empoderado mulheres negras, mas, gerado exemplos e multiplicadoras. Em 2016 iniciamos o segundo ciclo do #AfroGrafiteiras onde as formandas de 2015 aplicaram projetos para a seleção que escolheu três artistas, que tiveram a oportunidade de levar o projeto para suas comunidades. Para isso, o programa de oficinas foi 100% adaptado para as necessidades locais. No total, 180 mulheres negras passarão pelas oficinas até o fim do seu ciclo, em 2018 Confira Outras atividades realizadas no programa:

In 2015, we launched #AfroGrafiteiras, a NAMI educational program for urban art, focused on expressing and promoting Afro-Brazilian women as protagonists, divided into four lines of work: a) urban art as a vehicle of communication; b) empowerment with respect to the themes of gender and ethnicity; c) social entrepreneurship, cultural production, and the creative economy; d) new technologies in communication, information, and viral marketing. At the program’s conclusion, NAMI had not just discovered artists and empowered black women, but had also created examples and multipliers. In 2016 we started the second cycle of #AfroGrafiteiras, in which those who finished in 2015 applied projects to the selection process that selected three artists, who had the opportunity to take the project to their communities. For this purpose, the workshop program was adapted 100% for local necessities. In total, 180 black women will come to the workshops up until the end of the cycle, in 2018.
INTERCÂMBIO EM NOVA YORK
NEW YORK EXCHANGE
Em setembro de 2015, uma parceria com a CUFA tornou possível o intercâmbio de uma das Afrografiteiras - Maiara Viana - e um dos artistas professores - Toddy do Grupo Opni - para Nova York. Na ocasião, participaram de toda a programação do evento e tiveram a oportunidade de criar um mural no Bronx e ministrar uma oficina de graffiti, além de dar entrevista para a TV Brasileira contando sobre sua experiência.
In September 2015, a partnership with CUFA made a New York exchange program possible for one of the Afrografiteiras, Maiara Viana, and one of the artist-professors, Toddy from the Opni Group. For this occasion they participated fully in the event’s scheduling and had the opportunity to create a mural in the Bronx, and to hold a graffiti workshop, in addition to giving an interview on Brazilian TV recounting their experiences.
INTERCÂMBIO NO MÉXICO Em novembro de 2015, através da parceria com a Vital Voices, uma AfroGrafiteira - Tainá Rocha - pôde fazer um intercâmbio para a Cidade do México, onde participou de “la iniciativa de protección y respuesta de emergencia ante la violencia de género” (a iniciativa de proteção e resposta de emergência à violência de gênero), uma reunião de mulheres representantes de organizações de proteção à mulher de diversos países da América Latina. Representando a NAMI, Tainá se fez presente em todas as atividades propostas e ministrou uma oficina de graffiti temática durante o evento.
EXCHANGE IN MEXICO In November 2015, through a partnership with Vital Voices, one of the Afrografiteiras, Tainá Rocha, was able to participate in an exchange in Mexico City, where she took part in “the initiative for protection and emergency response to gender violence, a meeting of women representing organizations throughout various countries in Latin America, that work to protect women. Representing NAMI, Tainá was present throughout the proposed activities and held a thematic graffiti workshop during the event.

PASSEIO À INHOTIM A Visita ao Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Inhotim foi um presente às formandas do programa #AfroGrafiteiras, que aconteceu entre abril e agosto de 2015. Após a conclusão do programa, a NAMI, com o apoio da Fundação Ford, promoveu este passeio cultural. Junto às 16 alunas que compareceram à esta experiência, juntaram-se equipe, associadas, parceiros e o nosso conselho totalizando um grupo de 40 pessoas.

De 29 de agosto a 3 de outubro de 2015, a exposição #AfroGrafiteiras ficou aberta à visitação do público na Galeria Scenarium. A exposição foi a formatura das nossas alunas, que elaboraram seus projetos de arte e os executaram. As obras foram diversas: pinturas, aquarelas, instalações, vídeos, esculturas, performances, fotografias… Foi o momento em que elas puderam mostrar seus saberes artísticos para além dos muros.
From August 29th to October 3rd, 2015, the #AfroGrafiteiras exposition opened up for public visitation at the Scenarium Gallery. The exposition was our students’ graduation, who worked on their art projects, and carried them out. The projects were diverse: paintings,water colors,installations,videos,sculptures, performances, photographs… At this time they were able to show their artistic know-how beyond these walls.
EXPOSIÇÃO AFROGRAFITEIRAS NA GALERIA CEDIM Após findado o período de mostra da produção artística das #AfroGrafiteiras na Galeria Scenarium, a exposição migrou para a Galeria CEDIM, onde, no dia da abertura, ocorreu conversa do público com as artistas, oficina temática e a apresentação de performance.

AFROGRAFITEIRA EXPOSITION AT THE CEDIM GALLERY After the Afrografiteiras artistic production show period ended at the Scenarium Gallery, the exposition moved to the CEDIM Gallery where, on opening day, a public conversation took place with the artists, as well as a thematic workshop, and the performance presentation.
INHOTIM TRIP The Visit to the Contemporary Art Museum in Inhotim was a present to those graduating from the #AfroGrafiteiras program, which took place between April and August 2015. After the program’s conclusion, NAMI, with the help of the Ford Foundation, promoted this cultural trip. Accompanying these 16 students who took part in this experience were a team, associates, partners, and our board, totaling a group of 40 people.

CREATION OF A MURAL AT AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL
Unindo as ideias centrais do programa #AfroGrafiteiras e o projeto “Jovem Negro Vivo”, da Anistia Internacional, as #AfroGrafiteiras elaboraram um croqui e pintaram um mural que representa o futuro da juventude afro-brasileira que desejam, sem deixar de dialogar com passado e presente dos negros de nosso país.
Bringing together the central ideas of the #AfroGrafiteiras program and Amnesty International’s “Jovem Negro Vivo” (“Living Black Youth”) project, #AfroGrafiteiras drafted a sketch, then painted a mural that represents the future of Afro-Brazilian youth that they hope for, without stopping dialogue with the past and present of our country’s black population.

Em agosto de 2015, as AfroGrafiteiras pintaram um mural na Creche Monsenhor Franca, na Comunidade Tavares Bastos, no Catete. As artistas planejaram e desenvolveram juntas o projeto Folclore na Floresta, que retrata personagens folclóricos com identidade negra, de forma a rejeitar o embranquecimento europeu e a celebrar não só a cultura brasileira, mas, a negritude do nosso povo.
In August 2015, the AfroGrafiteiras painted a mural at Monsignor Franca Daycare, in the Tavaraes Bastos community in Catete. Together, the artists planned and developed the Folklore in the Forest project, which made portraits of folkloric characters pertaining to black identity, in order to reject European white-washing and to celebrate only Brazilian culture and our people’s blackness.

Militantes negras independentes e membras da coletiva Luisa Mahin convidaram as #AfroGrafiteiras para deixar suas marcas no CCPR de Acari - centro de cultura formado por artistas da comunidade - na tarde de 24 de julho de 2015. No mesmo dia, à noite, o CCPR recebeu o evento “Noite Faveleira” em edição especial que comemorou o dia da mulher negra e periférica.
Independent black female activists, and members of the collective Luisa Mahin, invited the #AfroGrafiteiras to leave their mark at CCPR Acarí, a cultural center made up of community artists, on the afternoon of July 24th, 2015. That same night, the CCPR hosted the “Favela Night”, a special edition that commemorated the day of black women, and peripheral groups.

Em 26 de julho de 2015, aconteceu a Pré-Marcha de Mulheres Negras, no Rio de Janeiro, “Contra o Racismo e a Violência e Pelo Bem Viver”. A manifestação reuniu representantes e simpatizantes da causa na Praia de Copacabana e encerrou as comemorações do Dia da Mulher Negra Latino-Americana e Caribenha. As #AfroGrafiteiras participaram do evento grafitando faixas, cartazes e camisas. Na ocasião, também apresentaram o projeto da NAMI aos curiosos que se aproximavam.
On July 26th, 2015, the Pre-Black Women’s March was held in Rio de Janeiro, “Against Racism and Violence, and for Good Living”. The manifestation brought together representatives and supporters of the cause to Copacabana Beach, and marked the closure of commemorations for Latin American and Caribbean Black Women’s Day. The #AfroGrafiteiras participated in the event, graffiti-ing banners, posters, and shirts. For the occasion, they also presented the NAMI project to those who were curious enough to approach.

Durante a formação das #AfroGrafiteiras, a equipe NAMI e nossas alunas foram até a Favela do Antares, em Santa Cruz, para um dia de grafitagem e muita troca com a comunidade. Foram vários murais grafitados e um sarau organizado por artistas de Antares.
During the #AfroGrafiteiras graduation, the NAMI team and our students went to the Antares favela, in Santa Cruz, for a day of graffiti and interaction with the community. There were many graffiti-d murals and a soirée organized by Antares artists.
PINTURA NO EVENTO DE GRAFFITI MEETING OF FAVELA Seis #AfroGrafiteiras foram apoiadas com kits de sprays para realizarem murais no Meeting Of Favela - MOF - que ocorre anualmente na Vila Operária e é considerado o maior evento de graffiti voluntário da América Latina.

PAINTING AT THE MEETING OF FAVELA GRAFFITI EVENT Six #AfroGrafiteiras were supported with spray kits for creating murals at the Meeting of Favela (MOF), which takes place every year at Vila Operária, and is considered the largest voluntary graffiti event in Latin America.

AFROGRAFITEIRAS AT THE NAMI RESIDENCE
Dez #AfroGrafiteiras participaram da #ResidenciaNAMI, recebendo apoio em infraestrutura, logística, alimentação, e materiais de arte. Ministraram uma oficina de graffiti na Pista de Skate de Geribá, pintaram dois murais e seis telas, enquanto aproveitaram o momento de intercâmbio de ideias com outros artistas urbanos do eixo Rio-São Paulo.
Ten #AfroGrafiteiras participated in #ResidenciaNAMI (NAMI Residence), receiving support for infrastructure, logistics, food/ drink, and art materials. They held a graffiti workshop at the Skate Park in Geribá, painting two murals and six canvases, while seizing the moment to exchange ideas with other urban artists on the Rio-São Paulo circuit.

Em 25 de novembro de 2016, foi realizada uma aula aberta, como parte do projeto #AfroGrafiteiras, na qual Djamila Ribeiro falou sobre a situação da mulher negra no Brasil. Realizada em auditório da UNIRIO, contou com um público de mais de 160 pessoas.
On November 25th, 2016, an open class was held, as part of the #AfroGrafiteiras project, in which Djamila Ribeiro spoke of the situation of black women in Brazil. Held in the UNIRIO auditorium, there were more than 160 people who took part.
APOIO DE EVENTO DE GRAFFITI “SOPA NO CIEP TANCREDO NEVES”
SUPPORT OF “SOUP AT CIEP TANCREDO NEVES” GRAFFITI EVENT
Treze #AfroGrafiteiras receberam apoio de material de pintura para participar de um evento de graffiti realizado no Catete, no Ciep Tancredo Neves, no qual puderam praticar letras e personagens junto com artistas da cena urbana, estabelecendo novos contatos profissionais e trocando conhecimento e ideias sobre o mundo da streetart.
Thirteen #AfroGrafiteiras received support in the form of painting materials for participating in the graffiti event held in Catete, at CIEP Tancredo Neves, where they were able to practice letters and characters together with urban scene artists, establishing new professional contacts and trading knowledge and ideas on the world of street art.

Das 21 artistas urbanas apoiadas pela NAMI no MOF, quinze eram #AfroGrafiteiras. O apoio consistiu em kits de spray e um muro de aproximadamente 80 metros quadrados, para a realização do mural coletivo, em conjunto com outras artistas mulheres da NAMI.
Of the 21 urban artists supported by NAMI at MoF, fifteen were #AfroGrafiteiras. Support consisted in spray kits and an approximately 80 square meter wall, meant for a collective mural, in collaboration with other female artists from NAMI.

3.2 GRAFFITI
O Graffiti Pelo Fim da Violência Contra a Mulher é o nosso mais antigo projeto. Trata-se de oficinas pontuais, que acontecem em dois momentos: a) um bate-papo sobre violência contra a mulher, igualdade de gênero e as ferramentas da Lei Maria da Penha e; b) ensino sobre o uso do spray com orientações para a elaboração de um graffiti temático, no qual o conteúdo abordado durante a conversa é expressado em um mural coletivo que continua multiplicando enquanto o mural permanecer. As oficinas acontecem com dois públicos: 1. Mulheres acima de 14 anos; 2. Jovens rapazes e moças de 14 a 19 anos, estudante da rede pública de ensino. Nos anos de 2015 e 2016 participaram diretamente de nossas oficinas 569 pessoas e outras 6.885 foram impactadas.
Graffiti for the End of Violence Against Women is our oldest project. It concerns punctual workshops, which take place at two different times: a) a talk on violence against women, gender equality, and tools concerning the Maria da Penha Law, and; b) education for using spray paint and guidelines for drafting a thematic graffiti project, in which the content covered during the conversation is expressed on a collective mural that continues being multiplied while the mural is preserved. The workshops take place for two audiences: 1. Women older than 14 years old; 2. Young boys and girls from 14 to 19 years old, public school students. For the years of 2015 and 2016 there were 569 people who directly participated in our workshops and another 6,885 who were impacted.

INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN In partnership with the American human rights NGO, Vital Voices, the Instituto Avon held, for the first time in Brazil, the “International Workshop on Violence against Women”. During the Workshop, the participants had the opportunity to get to know up close the work that graffiti artists have made for the cause. Led by Panmela Castro, they painted three thematic panels.

A mostra contou com 12 painéis assinados por artistas de Brasília e do Rio de Janeiro, abordando os temas principais da convenção da ONU que prevê metas a serem cumpridas em favor das mulheres no mundo.
In 2015, a traveling exhibition, Pequim+20 em Graffiti, was shown in the Federal District, at the Galeria Subway Station, where more than 200 thousand people pass each month. The show had 12 panels that were signed by Brasilia and Rio de Janeiro artists, covering the principal themes of the UN convention that laid down goals to be reached for women in the world.

O InterNAMI é um projeto em atividade desde 2010. Trata-se de encontros em que há um “Intercâmbio de ideias”. O Projeto Nações Unidas Pelo Spray, de Ato, consistiu em palestras sobre arte urbana, oferecidas por J.Lo Borges, Negra, Barat e MV Hemp, com a pintura de murais desses mesmos artistas; oficinas de graffiti e a criação de um mural pelos participantes. As atividades ocorreram na E.M. Nações Unidas, no rio da Prata, atendendo alunos do sexto e do oitavo ano do ensino fundamental. O Apoio da NAMI consistiu no fornecimento de 36 litros de tinta PVA e 90 latas de spray.
The Nations United by Spray Paint Project consisted of talks on urban art, offered by J.Lo Borges, Negra, Barat, and MV Hemp, with the painting of murals of these artists; graffiti workshops and the creation of a mural by participants. The activities took place at E.M. United Nations, on rio Da Prata, serving students in sixth and eighth grade. NAMI Support consisted of supplying 36 liters of PVA paint, and 90 spray cans.

Offering materials, NAMI made possible a graffiti workshop at the Favela Fala Community Communication Course, at the Maré Complex, where Lu Brasil was able to demonstrate how to use graffiti as a communication tool. Course professors and students, 20 people in all, were covered for the workshop.

GRAFFITI WORKSHOP DURING MONTH OF LESBIAN VISIBILITY
Através do apoio de material e facilitação da NAMI foi realizada uma oficina de graffiti exclusiva para mulheres lésbicas na comemoração dos dias do orgulho e da visibilidade lésbica, que contemplou 25 mulheres.
Through NAMI’s support and facilitation, a graffiti workshop was carried out exclusively for lesbians in order to commemorate the days of lesbian pride and visibility. This event covered 25 women.

A artista Priscila Rooxo recebeu o apoio de 12 latas de spray para elaborar um mural na quinta edição do evento de graffiti e cultura Hip Hop “Cores e Valores”, que ocorreu em São Gonçalo - RJ.
MURAL DA NAMI NO “MEETING OF FAVELA” A NAMI, em parceria com a organização do MOF - Meeting Of Favela -, reservou um muro de aproximados 80 metros quadrados no coração da Vila Operária, para a elaboração um mural coletivo durante o evento. Ao todo, foram 21 artistas mulheres apoiadas com kits de sprays da NAMI, totalizando 168 latas de spray durante a atividade.

The artist Priscila Rooxo received support in the form of 12 spray cans for creating a mural at the fifth edition of the Hip Hop graffiti and culture event “Colors and Values”, which took place in São Gonçalo - RJ.
NAMI MURAL AT THE “MEETING OF FAVELA” NAMI, in partnership with the organization MOF - Meeting of Favela -, reserved an approximately 80 square feet wall in the heart of Vila Operária, for the creation of a collective mural during the event. In all, 21 female artists supplied with NAMI spray kits, a total of 168 spray cans, participated.

3.5 MUSEU NAMI
O Museu NAMI de Arte Urbana já recebeu mais de 100 artistas do Rio de Janeiro e outros Estados do país. Os murais que ocupam mais de 3Km de muros começaram a ser criados em dois grandes encontros: a inauguração da sede na NAMI na região, em dezembro de 2013, e o mutirão de pintura do projeto #TorcidaGraffiti, em 2014. Os artistas continuam visitando o espaço e pintando murais que, em sua maioria, seguem as temáticas dos direitos das mulheres e da igualdade étnica.
The NAMI Museum of Urban Art has already received more than 100 artists from Rio de Janeiro and from other States throughout the country. The murals that occupy more than 3km of wall started to be built at two large meetings: the inauguration of NAMI headquarters in the region, in December 2013, and the collective painting gathering of the #TorcidaGraffiti project, in 2014. The artists continue to visit the space and paint murals that, as a majority, follow the themes of womens’ rights and ethnic equality.

3.6 INTERSEÇÃO ENTRE NOSSOS PROJETOS
As participantes do #AfroGrafiteiras fazem parte de vivências no projeto Graffiti Pelo Fim da Violência Contra a Mulher, onde, como oficineiras da NAMI, aprendem nossa metodologia, e entendendo na prática como usar o graffiti como ferramenta de mudança social. Mesmo após a conclusão do #AfroGrafiteiras, elas podem continuar participando do nosso fundo e dos nossos projetos, tanto como arte educadoras como enquanto artistas. The #AfroGrafiteiras participants are part of the Graffiti for the End of Violence Against Women project experience, in which they, as NAMI workshop participants, learned our methodology, and came to understand how to use graffiti as a tool of social change. Even after the conclusion of #AfroGrafiteiras, they can continue participating in our fund an d our projects, as art-educators as well as artists.

Panmela Castro (Rio de Janeiro, 35 anos) é bacharel em pintura pela Escola de Belas Artes da UFRJ e Mestre em processos artísticos contemporâneos pelo Instituto de Artes da UERJ. Idealizadora e presidenta da NAMI. Em 2012, foi eleita pela revista Newsweek, ao lado de Dilma Rousseff e outras personalidades mundiais, como Hillary Clinton, Michelle Bachelet e Cristina Kirchner, como uma das 150 mulheres que estão engajadas por uma mudança positiva do mundo. Em 2015, foi uma das seis finalistas do Prêmio Empreendedor Social do Jornal Folha de São Paulo e em 2016 indicada ao prêmio Cláudia na Categoria de Cultura. Panmela Castro (Rio de Janeiro, 35 years old) has a Bachelors degree in painting from the Escola de Belas Artes at UFRJ, and a Masters degree in contemporary artistic processes from the Instituto de Artes at UERJ. Idealist and president of NAMI. In 2012, along with Dilma Rousseff and other global personalities, such as Hillary Clinton, Michelle Bachelet, and Cristina Kirchner, she was selected by the magazine Newsweek as one of the 150 women who are engaged in the project of positively changing the world. In 2015, she was one of the six finalists for the Social Entrepreneur Prize, from the newspaper Folha de São Paulo, and in 2016 she was nominated for the Cláudia prize for the Culture Category.

Também conhecida como Oli, é uma grafiteira de 62 anos. Com graduação em Ciências Biológicas, lecionou por mais de uma década e meia, tendo sempre o objetivo de fazer uma mudança positiva na vida de seus alunos. Este desejo de fazer o bem persiste e se manifesta em seu frequentemente engajamento em projetos sociais, como no INCA, onde atua como voluntária desde 2010. Na NAMI, não poderia ser diferente: usando a arte do graffiti como ferramenta para informar e elucidar sobre os direitos das mulheres, faz a diferença, sempre com muita seriedade e responsabilidade. Also known as Oli, she is a 62 year old graffiti artist. Having graduated in Biology, she has lectured for more than a decade and a half, always with the objective of positively changing the lives of her students. This desire to do good has persisted and manifested itself frequently in her engagement with social projects, such as that she carried out with INCA, where she has worked as a volunteer since 2010. At NAMI, it is no different: using graffiti as a tool for informing the public about womens’ rights, she makes a difference, always very seriously and responsibly.

Como nossa Diretora Executiva, Artha traz para a NAMI conhecimento, versatilidade e perícia nas áreas administrativa, de logística, organização e transparência na gestão. At 30 years old, she has graduate and under-graduate degrees in business logistics, and has vast experience in the commercial sector. As our Executive Director, Artha brings knowledge, versatility, and expertise to NAMI, applying these to the administrative, logistics, organization, and transparency in management areas.

Mariana Goulart tem mais de 10 anos de experiência profissional em comunicação e marketing em empresas multinacionais e nacionais: gravadora de música, companhia aérea, empresa de petróleo, varejo de moda, entre outros segmentos. Já atuou como gerente de marketing e comunicação, coordenação de CRM e novos negócios e na direção de campanhas de moda. Há três anos idealizou a Birds Communications e vem se destacando no mercado pelo desenvolvimento e gestão de comunicação em empresas e eventos como Art Rua, Fashion Rio, Soulier, Bali Blue, Animasom, Orquestra Voadora, Cinebloco. L'Eau de Rio, Musica Brasilis, Opção Jeans, Totem, Shop 126, Osklen entre outros. Mariana Goulart has more than 10 years of professional experience in communication and marketing with multinational and national companies: music producers, airlines, oil companies, fashion retail, as well as other sectors. She has worked as a marketing and communications manager, coordinating CRM and new businesses, and with fashion campaigns. Judgment
We have audited the financial statements of NAMI REDE FEMINISTA DE URBANA (NAMI FEMINIST NETWORK OF URBAN ART), which comprise the balance sheet as of December 31, 2015 and 2016, along with the related income statements, changes in net worth, and cash flow for the fiscal years on said dates, as well as the accompanying notes, including a summary of the main accounting policies. In our opinion, the aforementioned financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, the equity and financial position of NAMI REDE FEMINISTA DE ARTE URBANA (NAMI FEMINIST NETWORK OF URBAN ART) as of December 31, 2015 and 2016, the performance of its operations and its cash flows for the fiscal years ending on said dates, in accordance with accounting practices adopted in Brazil.
Judgment Basis
Our audit was conducted in accordance with Brazilian auditing standards. Our responsibilities, in accordance with these standards, are described in the following section entitled "Auditors' responsibility for auditing the financial statements." We are independent in relation to NAMI REDE FEMINISTA DE ARTE URBANA (NAMI FEMINIST NETWORK OF URBAN ART) in accordance with the relevant ethical principles set forth in the Professional Code of Ethics of the Accountant, and in the professional norms issued by the Federal Counsel of Accounting, fulfilling the other ethical responsibilities according to these norms. We believe that the audit evidence obtained is sufficient and appropriate to substantiate our opinion.
Other information accompanying the financial statements and the auditor's report
The management of NAMI REDE FEMINISTA DE ARTE URBANA (NAMI FEMINIST NETWORK OF URBAN ART), is responsible for such other information that comprises the management report. Our opinion on the financial statements do not cover the management report, and we do not express any form of audit conclusion about this report. In connection with the audit of financial statements, our responsibility is to read the management report and, in so doing, to consider whether this report is materially inconsistent with the financial statements or with our knowledge obtained in the audit or , on the other hand, if it appears to be materially distorted. If, based on the work performed, we find that there is a material misstatement in the management report, we are required to report this fact. We do not have anything to relate in this respect.
Administration responsibilities and governance of the financial statements.
Management is responsible for the preparation and fair presentation of the financial statements in accordance with accounting practices adopted in Brazil, and for the internal controls it has determined to be necessary to enable the preparation of financial statements free of material misstatement, whether caused by fraud or error. In preparing the financial statements, management is responsible for assessing the institution's ability to continue operating, disclosing, when applicable, matters related to its operational continuity, and the use of this accounting basis in the preparation of the financial statements, unless it is intended that the company be liquidated or ceased of its operations, or has no realistic alternative to avoid closing the operations. Those responsible for the company's governance are those responsible for supervising the process of preparing the financial statements.
Auditor's responsibilities for auditing the financial statements.
Our purpose is to obtain reasonable assurance, so that the financial statements, taken as a whole, are free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error, and to issue an audit report containing our judgment. Reasonable security is a high level of security, but not a guarantee that the audit conducted in accordance with Brazilian and international auditing standards will always detect any relevant material misstatements. Distortions may be due to fraud or eJTe, and are considered relevant when, individually or jointly, they influence, from a reasonable perspective, the economic decisions of users taken on the basis of said financial statements.
