It features racing bikes from 1940-1995 as well as sidecars. This year will feature “GP Legends” on tour with no fewer eight former Moto GP riders with a combined total of 11 World Championships. The three day, 54 event race program, will see Kevin Schwantz, Freddie Spencer, Kork Ballington, Graeme Crosby, Steve Parrish, Kevin McGee and Chris Vermueulen out on the track on the original GP Bikes that made them famous. This will be your only chance to see these riders and machines together in Australia, as most of the Bikes are being shipped out from the UK and Europe for the event. Also on show will be Trade Stands, Motorcycle Club displays, Show and Shine and Spectator Parade Laps during the lunch break on Sunday. The marathon started in 1984 and follows the length of the entire trail.The race is a not for profit event and all funds raised are donated to the Blue Mountains Rural Fire Service who man the aid stations on race day. Each year the event has over 850 entrants completing the course on race day. Entries for the 2019 race are closed and we do not operate a wait list.
