IN THIS ISSUE Twenty twenty-two. The number 22, according to numerology expert Josh Siegel, is a ?master builder?in numerology, meaning it's associated with building a base or structure. So the focus of this year will be all about getting back to normalcy and rebuilding our lives. Even the Pantone Color of the Year suggests global innovation and transformation. But at this time you might ask, isn't that what we hoped for last year? where do we go from here? Our January issue delves more into what people around the globe are looking for or perhaps what we have been in search of in the past year. More importantly, what relevance will this be to our new year. Our search was done with the goal of knowing what we have achieved as a collective; how we think and how the choices we have made will eventually influence our future. Gathering the data we needed, we came up with interesting features courtesy of Google. Over the years, the search engine has been synonymous to "research" and has reached 91.42 percent of the global market share. (reliablesoft.net). (And yes, you may Google this as much as you want. Search on.) Going further, we added details about our year as Premier turns One this month. The organizations and the people who have been supportive and stayed connected are most valued partners and friends. We thank our readers who generously spend their time reading every single issue. You have all made us bring out our A-game to the fore as we encourage the swiping majority to stop and read even for a while. Using technology wisely, we further our knowledge by diligently using our platform as an arm in creative and sustainable endeavors and growing partnerships that promote an inclusive environment. Our commitment to bringing unique content value through themed issues every month remains to be our utmost priority. Take a look at some of the things we spent our time on last year and reflect on them and perhaps history may help determine where we will all be. After all, to have a better future, we should never forget the lessons of our past.

" The Pantone Color of the Year reflects what is taking place in our global culture, expressing w hat people are looking for that color can hope to answer. 17-3938 Very Peri, a brand new color "whose courageous presence encourages personal inventiveness and creativity". Creating a new color for the first time in the history of our Pantone Color of the Year educational color program reflects the global innovation and transformation taking place. As society continues to recognize color as a critical form of communication, and a way to express and affect ideas and emotions and engage and connect, the complexity of this new red violet infused blue hue highlights the expansive possibilities that lay before us." -- Laurie Pressman, Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute

ABOUT THE COVER Transsensorial Gateway / noa* Network of Architecture Architecture and people are closely intertwined and through the creation of a space, the connection between the individuals within a space is encouraged. This was the starting point for the installation designed by noa*. The concept proposes a kind of light and sound landscape, which welcomes visitors as they enter the exhibition. On either side of the doorway, a crown of structural light-beams open up, each one at different heights, visually amplifying the sequence of the 17th-century portico that serves as the setting for the installation. The result is a sculptural work that combines various elements, including light, sound and movement, in direct dialogue with people and with the space. The light beams create relationships, building ?bridges?between people. The light reacts to the presence of visitors and at the same time interprets the way they relate to each other. Through a ?transsensorial?mechanism, a light and musical score is created that is not only closely related to mass and volume, and thus to the number of visitors, but also becomes the driving force behind the installation. The result is an original and unique choreography of light and sound, which further enriches the visitors?emotional journey. The sound, by Ebner Film + Music, was designed especially for this installation and programmed to react to the diversity of situations detected by the sensors. It is regulated by loudspeakers placed in the exhibition area of the installation, while the sensors that control light and sound according to the interactions between people are distributed along the 34 beams. METAVERSE game

GA ME ON! 20 22

In 2021, the metaverse is as hot in China as it is globally, if not more so. The metaverse (? ? ? ) is not just one of the most popular internet slang phrases in China, but it?s actually one of the areas where China has an awful lot of advantages. Lisa Cosmas Hanson, founder and president of Niko Partners, a market research and consulting firm covering the Asia games market, believes Chinese gaming companies are positioning themselves to take a leading role in building the metaverse. ?Live service video games have been building towards this metaverse concept for a number of years, and companies with experience in both video game development and social media will have an advantage when entering this space,? Hanson told Protocol. ?Companies like Tencent have in essence been building towards the metaverse for a long time.?However, Hanson cautioned, the metaverse may evolve differently in China because regulators might drop the hammer on video game content. ?The greatest opportunity for metaverses in China will come from interoperability across gaming ecosystems and collaborative events with brands and IP holders,? Hanson concluded. Photo by Muhammad Asyfaul

EXPO is a huge global exhibition organized every five years in one of the world's cities since the nineteenth century. The first world exhibition was held in London in 1851 at Crystal Palace, which was built specifically for this purpose. In Paris, the 1889 exhibition revealed the Eiffel Tower. Thousands of visitors started to come to Expo 2020 in Dubai last year with the official opening of its doors, despite the high temperatures after the postponement of the event for a whole year due to COVID-19. Expo Dubai, which opened with an official ceremony, was held on the outskirts of Dubai at a cost of about seven billion dollars, and includes numerous pavilions of participating countries and exhibitions in large areas. It is the largest event organized since the beginning of the COVID pandemic, as the Tokyo Olympics were held last summer without spectators in stadiums to avoid rapid transmission of the virus. Visitors to the exhibition were asked to provide a vaccination certificate or a negative test result of the COVID-19 epidemic , wear masks and adhere to the rules of social distancing.

SQUID GAME SCORES HIGH IN GOLDEN GLOBES AND SAG AWARDS W hat an amazing feat for the entire cast of Squid Game! Oh Young Soo became the first Korean actor to win Best Supporting Actor at the recently concluded Golden Globes while the show earned four nominations for the SAG Awards this year namely, Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, Lee Jung Jae for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series, and Jung Ho Yeon for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series. Amidst all the excitement, we were more interested in the writer of the show, Hwang Dong-hyuk,a South Korean film director, producer and screenwriter. Hwang had conceived of the idea for Squid Game based on his own economic struggles early in life as well as the class disparity found within South Korea. Though initially scripted in 2008, Hwang was unable to find a production studio to find support for the script until around 2019, when Netflix invested in it as part of their drive to expand their foreign programming offerings. Released on September 17, 2021, it became the most-watched series launch in Netflix history. The stress of creating the series caused him to lose six of his teeth. Due to Squid Game's success, Netflix brought Hwang's previous films Silenced, Miss Granny, and The Fortress to the service in the United States and other countries. VACCINE NATIONS countries where the highest percentage of population and number of people is vaccinated We all monitor the numbers. Each figure represents an important part of every nation when it comes to the pandemic. What they imply relies on the governments and organizations who find solutions to the most challenging problem the modern world has ever encountered. In 2021, WHO released a target number of 70 % vaccinated population for each country come mid-2022. The good news is, there are certain countries that reached the target in advance and the bad news is only 9.5% of people in low-income countries have received at least one dose. Listed below are the 10 countries with the highest number of people vaccinated against the Corona virus: India - 898.71 M USA - 247.7 M Brazil - 166.77 M Mexico - 81.92 M Russia - 74.5 M Germany 62.23 M Turkey - 57.18 M France - 53.22 M UK - 52.03 M Italy - 49.14 M

Nothing gold can stay. A fter 28 years of music, they've hung up their helmets. The world went crazy over the most devastating breakup last February 2021. Daft Punk, the French dance legend has announced this through an 8-minute farewell video clip called Epilogue. Here are a few facts about them as we highlight FRA NCE and the world's most searched breakup. W hy is Daft Punk called Daft Punk? Daft Punk got their name when the late Dave Jennings dismissed their early efforts as ?daft punky trash? during a review for the now-shuttered Melody Maker magazine. A t the time, the group called themselves Darlin' and had a third member in the form of Laurent Brancowitz, who now plays guitar for Phoenix.Feb 23, 2021 W hy are they so relevant to the music industry? They have been nominated for the Grammy awards 12 times and have won six times. The Parisian producers elevated dance music with a trademark sound that blended pop, funk, synthpop, hip-hop, house, and techno with indie rock overtones. W hat is Daft Punk's net worth? According to a report in the Celebrity net worth portal, Daft Punk has an estimated net worth of $140 million. This is the combined net worth of both of the band members Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (47) and Thomas Bangalter (46). Homem-Christo and Bangalter are both worth $70 million each.Feb 23, 2021 On 3 December 2010, the legendary French electronic duo Daft Punk released to the world their first and only movie soundtrack score created for the Disney movie Tron: Legacy. Upon its release, the score received critical acclaim and incredible award wins including a 54th Grammy Award nomination for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media. Over 11 years later and although the duo has since parted ways after a 28-year prosperous career, they are celebrating this special anniversary by releasing an extraordinary vinyl of the soundtrack.

Sometimes it is the most mundane things that make our world complicated. The top question reveals how much watching people have done over the past year and despite the number of films we have or the many streaming platforms available to choose from, we are still in search of more quality films. This list also tells us how we value our privacy, otherwise, why would we be interested in searching for our own IP if not for verification? Our interest in home-cooked food is not surprising given that we have been home for the most part of 2021. Or perhaps learning how to cook for business or personal reasons is a probable reason. Even Italy searched high on "how to make homemade pizza" . But "W hat if ..." is a very broad and personal search. Deleting your Instagram account is one what if? Overall, we all have our own issues and the next best thing to do is search online for answers.

GALLERIA DORIA PAMPHILJ The Palace and the Gallery Built on the original nucleus of the residence of cardinal Fazio Santoro, dating back to the beginning of the 16th century, Palazzo Doria Pamphilj is a blend of art and history, which consists of nobility, politics, and unions between some of the most important Italian noble families: from the Della Rovere to the Aldobrandini Families, from the Pamphilj to the Doria and the Doria Pamphilj Families, to the Facchinetti, Colonna, Borghese, Savoia families and many more. The palace is the result of 500 years of additions, annexes and expansion, which create the centuries-old splendour that can be seen today. The Doria Pamphilj Gallery is the exhibition space at the heart of the Palazzo Doria Pamphilj. Here, in the four wings overlooking the internal courtyard with its splendid renaissance arches, as well as the two large adjoining halls, the Aldobrandini Room and the Room of the ?Primitives?, is where most of the masterpieces of the Doria Pamphilj family?s private art collection are held. The current appearance of the Gallery is the result of the renovation of the more ancient part of the building, ordered by Prince Camillo Pamphilj junior, and completed between 1731 and 1734. The paintings are arranged according to the late eighteenth-century arrangement, as described in a manuscript of the Doria Pamphilj Historical Archives dated 1767, so visitors can enjoy a unique approach to the art collection in the atmosphere of that time. The visit begins with the spacious, richly and beautifully decorated and furnished halls of the Palazzo Doria Pamphilj.

Since this ranking, which analyses health system efficiency, other studies have produced slightly different lists.

Healt h Care Systems Explained A healt h care system is const ructed for t hree reasons. First , t he system maint ains t he healt h of t he communit y. It also provides services to t he sick and wounded. Addit ionally, it helps curb t he cost s of expensive medical bills Current ly, we recognize four different t ypes of healt h care systems. Some count ries base t heir system upon one model, w hile ot hers choose a combinat ion. The choices t hey have to choose from include: The Beveridge Model The Bismarck Model The Nat ional Healt h Insurance Model The Out-of-Pocket Model

The Beveridge Model Kevin lives in Brit ain and recent ly got in a car accident . After several weeks in t he ICU, he w as released but referred to a physical t herapist to help him rehabilit ate. Upon leaving t he hospit al, he w as not presented w it h a bill despite t he ext reme amount of medical care he received. This is because Brit ain follow s t he Beveridge Model. The Beveridge model w as created by t he social reformer, W illiam Beveridge, w ho designed Brit ain's Nat ional Healt h System. W it h t his model, t he government is responsible for financing and providing healt h care t hrough t axes. This means t hat if you are a Brit ish cit izen and you need to see a doctor for some reason, you won't receive a bill. The reason behind t his is t hat most doctors are government employees. Even t he few doctors t hat are privately ow ned st ill collect t heir payment s from t he government . Since t he funding comes from one source, t he government has cont rol over w hat doctors can charge. As a result , healt h care systems t hat follow t his model tend to have low cost s. In t he United St ates, t he healt h care t hat veterans receive closely resembles t his model as t he government funds it t hrough t axes. Ot her count ries t hat have implemented t his model alongside Great Brit ain include New Zealand, part s of Scandinavia, Spain, Hong Kong, and Cuba.

1. The French health care system is generally recognized as offering one of the best, services of public health care in the world. Above all, it is a system that works, provides universal cover, and is a system that is strongly defended by virtually everyone in France. The health care system in France is made up of a fully-integrated network of public hospitals, private hospitals, doctors and other medical service providers. It is a universal service providing health care for every citizen, irrespective of wealth, age or social status. Photo by John Towner

2. Germany Germany is widely recognized as a country with some of the best healthcare in the world. This country is also one of the most medically advanced in the world, thanks to a high proportion of the world?s best medical technology universities. In Europe-wide medical care surveys, Germany has often come in among the 15 best countries. According to the Commonwealth Fund, it performs especially well for access ? its mixed public-private system, funded by statutory contributions, keeps costs and waiting times low. Healt h Care Systems Explained

The Bismarck Model Antoine lives in France and works at an account ing firm. He is responsible, along w it h his employer, for cont ribut ing to his insurance policy. He doesn't mind t his because it is a relat ively low cost and he st ill receives qualit y care. No mat ter w hat pre-exist ing condit ions he may have, his insurance must t ake him, no quest ions asked. This is because France follow s t he Bismarck Model. The Bismarck model w as named after t he Prussian Chancellor, Ot to von Bismark, w ho implemented it during t he unificat ion of Germany. The system uses private insurance agencies, also know n as sickness funds. They are run as nonprofit s and are required to accept all cit izens w it hout discriminat ion. As a result , even t hough bot h employees and employers are cont ribut ing to an insurance policy, t he insurance company is not benefit ing financially. In addit ion to Germany, France, t he Net herlands, Belgium, and Japan have also adopted versions of t his model. This model might also be familiar to people living in America because of t he use of private insurance agencies. Many Americans receive healt h insurance t hrough t heir jobs. The main difference bet ween t hat and t he Bismarck model is t hat American private insurance companies are for-profit businesses.

Healt h Care Systems Explained The Nat ional Healt h Insurance Model Single-payer nat ional healt h insurance Examples: Canada, Taiw an, Sout h Korea Relevance to t he US: similar to Medicare Min-Ji lives in Sout h Korea and visit s t he doctor frequent ly. She w as diagnosed w it h ast hma at a young age, and it requires her to t ake a lot of medicine. Despite having to see a doctor on a regular basis, Min-Ji pays very lit t le for her medical and prescript ion bills. Addit ionally, even t hough ast hma is considered a pre-exist ing condit ion, it does not affect her insurance payment s or policy in any w ay. This is because Sout h Korea has based it s system on t he nat ional healt h insurance model. The Nat ional Healt h Insurance model incorporates aspect s of bot h t he Bismarck and Beveridge models. Like t he Beveridge model, t he government act s as t he single-payer for medical procedures, and like t he Bismarck model, providers are private. Universal insurance does not make a profit or deny claims. There has been a tendency in recent years for count ries w it h Beveridge-t ype healt h care systems to incorporate Bismarck characterist ics or vice versa, leading to t he healt h care policies in a number of count ries like Hungary and Germany to t rend tow ards t he mixed model. In some count ries like Canada, private insurance cont ract ing is permit ted for t hose w ho would prefer t hem. The balance bet ween public insurance and private pract ice allow s hospit als to maint ain independence w hile also reducing internal complicat ions w it h insurance policies. Financial barriers to t reat ment are generally low, and pat ient s usually are able to choose t heir healt hcare providers. Like t he Beveridge model, t his system covers most procedures regardless of income level. The model also may reduce t he cost s involved w it h t he administ rat ion of healt h insurance, as t he government processes all claims and reduces t he amount of duplicat ion of services. Perhaps t he largest complaint is t hat t hese systems can suffer from long w ait ing list s for t reat ment . Wait list s are not limited to elect ive surgeries or ot her non-emergency procedures, as pat ient s w ait ing to be seen in some fields like neurosurgery often may face long delays unt il t hey can see a physician. In a st udy by Viberg et al. from 2013, a majorit y of count ries, including Aust ralia, Canada, and It aly, consider w ait ing t imes a serious healt h policy issue. Wait ing t imes in Canada for hip replacement s can be from 42 to 178 days, depending on t he province. Aging populat ion demographics and overut ilizat ion of healt h resources in t he non-urgent sit uat ions are also problems for t he long-term st abilit y of t his model.

3. Singapore Singapore?s healthcare system frequently ranks among the best in the world, and it?s admired by many other nations around the world due to its remarkable outcomes. Basic care at government hospitals is heavily subsidized, and sometimes even free for Singaporean citizens, with more deluxe care in private rooms charging extra. Singapore?s employees inject around 37 percent of their salaries in mandated savings accounts that may be spent on healthcare, housing, education, and insurance, with part of this being contributed by their employers. 4. The United Kingdom A 2017 Commonwealth Fund report places the United Kingdom top for healthcare system performance ? care process and equity are its strong suits. However, against European rivals, the country fares less well, due in part to limited accessibility. The United Kingdom has a universal, government-run system ? it?s a country with among the world?s best free healthcare. Despite this, 10.5% of the population takes out private health insurance for more rapid access to elective care.

Healt h Care Systems Explained

The Out-of-Pocket Model: market-driven healt h care Examples: rural areas in India, China, Africa, Sout h America Relevance to t he US: similar to t reat ment for uninsured or underinsured In less developed areas w it h too few resources to create mass medical care, pat ient s must pay for t heir procedures out-of-pocket . W it hout enough money, t he poor are unable to afford appropriate healt h care. Unfort unately, t his sit uat ion is common in most count ries since only t he wealt hiest count ries have robust healt h care systems. Disparit ies in wealt h lead to disparit ies in healt h outcomes in t hese areas. In t he United St ates, many aspect s of healt h care are driven by income level. Adult s in t he US are less likely to see a regular physician and are more likely to have unt reated condit ions t han adult s in Canada, w hile at t he same t ime rat ing t heir care as eit her ext remely high or low in qualit y more often t han Canadians, w ho are more moderate in t heir responses. Disparit ies in care due to socioeconomic st at us and et hnicit y are found in all count ries, but tend to be more pronounced in t he United St ates t han in areas like Canada. The percent uninsured ranges for different st ates, from as low as 3.6% in Massachuset t s to as high as 20.6% in Texas. As of 2015, t he percent of uninsured persons is 13.0% in t he United St ates. The debate over increasing coverage and minimizing cost s st ill rages in Congress ? any development s may drast ically change t hese numbers. Over t he past t wo years, most of t he healt h systems ment ioned here have been challenged and some of t he previous st andards set have been revised to adapt to t he global pandemic sit uat ion.
