Walter was hanging out the washing for his mum. She had gone shopping and Walter was hurrying because he wanted to watch Saturday morning television.
4
5
He rushed indoors, put on the television and looked at the TV magazine to decide which channel to watch. “Oh good, he thought. He was just in time to watch his favourite pop programme. 6
7
As it hadn’t quite started, he dashed into the kitchen for a packet of crisps. Just as he opened the cupboard door, he saw out of the corner of his eye a gust of wind blow the washing off the line! 8
9
Once in the garden, he could see to his horror that the washing had blown all over the neighbours’ back gardens. “Mum will go mad!” he thought. “I’ve got to get it back before she comes home.” 10
