Introduction. A tiny part of a larger project, I was asked to visualize the gardens and parks for a new housing complex. The place was meant to feel like a garden made in heaven, and hence the title of this image.

Planning. Planning can be a really tricky part for a tight production. You could waste too much time, which would be useful in later stages. In this scene, for instance, I managed to use only one tree. Animating the ones in front and using V-Ray proxies for the ones in the back.

Lighting. In this scene, I placed a V-Ray Sun facing the camera to get this mood.

Render Setting. I use V-Ray for all my work. It is, in my opinion, the best rendering engine for this sort of work. Here is a peek at my render settings.

Compositing. I brought this scene directly in to Adobe After Effects for post effects. To be honest, not a lot of brilliant stuff happened here. Just some color, contrast and levels adjustments, for the God rays, I used CC Light Burst 2.5 and got away with the native Lens Flare Effect for the subtle camera lens flare.
