Tender Writer Brisbane – Research is Vital to Winning Tenders Our goal to continue to be the number one tender writer in Brisbane is a burning focus of Red Tape Busters for 2014. In writing tenders for our clients we aim to utlise all the best strategies and techniques possible. In working with our clients before preparing a response to a tender we undertake extensive research first. This research phase is vital. Initially we start the research phase by identifying potential tender opportunities and then ensuring there is a perfect match between the possible opportunities and our client’s business/organisation. www.redtapebusters.com
We would be very loath to submit a tender response if there was not a complete match and we believed our client will have a great opportunity with our tender writing skill to win the tender.
Obviously on occasions, in consultation with our client, we might make a strategic decision to submit a tender where the fit between tender requirements and our client is tenuous or where we feel our client’s chances are not sound.
We would make such decisions where it was in our client’s best interests to do so.
Once we have identified the right tender opportunity we then undertake research regarding the buying agency. www.redtapebusters.com
Our goal is to ensure we understand their procurement requirements completely and to identify anything which might assist us in preparing our response. We try and ascertain many things and this strategy has placed us as the number one tender writer Brisbane. Some of the issues we try and identify include but are not limited to:•Who might be on the assessment panel. •Have they offered this contract before. •If so what organisation was previously successful. •What other contracts have previously gone out to tender and what types of organisations were successful. www.redtapebusters.com

•How do these organisations stack up to you in relation to size, experience, capacity etc. •Does the buyer generally stick with past suppliers or are they open to new suppliers. •What requirements seem to be important for the buyer with respect to those outlined in the tender offer documents. The more information you can find out the better. In undertaking your research you should obviously search the web and the organisation’s website for hints and tips. For instance the organisation might state how important Quality Assurance is to them on their website and therefore this is a beacon to ensure you focus strongly on Quality Assurance in your response.

You certainly should make contact with the relevant contact officer if there is one identified in the tender documents. If not still try and make contact with the buyer and seek to introduce yourself and try and glean as much information as you can subtly without seeming like an interrogator. In your discussion try as best as you can to talk briefly about your skills and experience and highlight briefly anything that you feel might interest the buyer and set you aside from competitors or show that you can deliver on what the buyer wants in the tender. A difficult balancing strategy indeed! www.redtapebusters.com

It is super important that you don’t waffle and you don’t waste their time but try and engage them in conversation, subtly sell your organisation while trying to find out anything you can that might help you prepare your tender and catch their interest. Lastly you should try and use your networks in your industry to see if anyone has an insight into the buyer or this tender and can offer you any valuable information. The more research you do and the more you know about the buyer and their requirements and procurement strategies – the better. We pride ourselves on being the best tender writers including in a competitive market such as Brisbane and we use a variety of successful strategies and techniques to get results for our clients. www.redtapebusters.com
