Siem Reap #1 in TripAdvisor's Travelers Choice Awards Recently in April, it was announced online our beloved home base Siem Reap had taken out Number One Travelers Choice Destination in Asia, and Number Two Travelers Choice Destination in the World! Unsurprisingly the residents of Siem Reap were rightfully proud about this achievement and news spread rapidly.

A week after, Angkor W’s newest restaurant Embassy hits number 1 on Trip Advisor. What a great achievement isn't it?

Congratulations to the Embassy team for making it on the top. The hard earned and well deserved number one position has taken just under 5 months to achieve and with over 530 restaurants in Siem Reap listed on TripAdvisor was certainly a moment worthy of celebration. “We are very happy and proud of the restaurant” expressed Executive Chef Kimsan Pol, “it is good to know that our Team Embassy hard work has brought us this recognition.

Two New Members in TripAdvisor’s “Hall of Fame!”

Siem Reap’s long established restaurants Madame Butterfly and Amok were this year welcomed into TripAdvisor’s “Hall of Fame.” This sought-after accolade is no simple achievement, it requires a restaurant to have a minimum number of reviews, consistently superior feedback and most impressive of all, 5 consecutive years of being awarded the TripAdvisor “Certificate of Excellence.”

The teams at Madame Butterfly and Amok are thoroughly thankful of the well deserved recognition from both TripAdvisor and their reviewers and intended to keep delivering the same quality and service standards that have allowed them to stand-out from the crowd in the competitive Siem Reap restaurant scene. Keep up the great work!

Additional congratulations to Champey Restaurant who are well on their way to entering the TripAdvisor “Hall of Fame,” picking up their third consecutive “Certificate of Excellence” this year. Well done team!

2ND Chef Challenge 2015

On 21 March 2015, Angkor W Restaurant Collection put two of their best chefs from each of their 10 different restaurants together to make a cooking competition in the public area at King’s Road Angkor Village in Siem Reap. The competition, outlined by Angkor W’s executive chef, had contestants choose their recipes from classic Khmer cuisine with a strict time limit for preparation; importantly there had to be two dishes, one salad and one Main. We asked Sokh Morn, PR assistant at Angkor W, the purpose of the Chef Challenge, “We want people to know what our chefs do and also see who can win first place. During the cook-off there were many people who came to visit the chef challenge, so it helped to encourage the chefs to work harder on their cooking abilities and bring more attention to their dishes.” Angkor W would like to thank their PR manager, Executive Chefs and all the team who helped organize and prepare for the event.

Work Hard – Play Hard -Annual Staff Party On 21 April 2015, Angkor W Restaurant Collection had an honor to appreciate with all the hard work from staffs. To admire to all staff, Angkor W Restaurant Collection team recently celebrated late into the night at our annual New Year staff’s party at The Khmer Barbeq Restaurant with plenty of food, drinks, singing, dancing, laughing and Lots of prizes!

Also, it was a fantastic opportunity to recognize and reward everyone for their hard work during the year and the perfect chance for staff who normally work in separate locations to join the entire Angkor w family as one. In order to do that, we would like to thanks to PR Manager Clem Balasoto and her team who organize and prepare all of this for the events. Also we would like to thanks to all supplier and partners who help out this beautiful party during the night which make everything well done.
