Post Show Report
Message from Japan IT Week Show Management “Japan IT Week Spring 2015 has been a very successful edition and on behalf of Show Management, I would like to thank all the exhibitors, visitors, the conference committee members, speakers, and the press…and everyone who was part of it. This report summarises the overall result of Japan IT Week Spring 2015 with the official figures and photographs which may help you get a better understanding of what went on during the busy 3-days and what to expect in coming editions. With the addition of an exhibition specialising in finished IT products - CONSUMER IT PRODUCTS EXPO (C-PEX), an area that has been long awaited by both ourselves and the industry to explore at Japan IT Week, and changing the concept of the former WIRELESS M2M EXPO to IoT/M2M EXPO serving as a new platform for professionals to conduct business in the trending area of IoT, the show this year has expanded its comprehensive nature as well as providing unity of the entire show. The total scale of Japan IT Week Spring expanded by 10% accounted for by the addition of C-PEX and the growth of each of the exhibitions, especially IoT/M2M EXPO, INFORMATION SECURITY EXPO, WEB & DIGITAL MARKETING EXPO, DATA STORAGE EXPO. In just the 3-day show period alone, the majority of the exhibit space was booked for both upcoming editions of Japan IT Week Spring. We consider this to be the reflection of the positive image and successful business experienced by show participants on-site. We will endure our efforts in providing a firm base for business and to keep attracting key professionals from all over Japan, Asia and the world. We look forward to your active participation and feel free to consult Show Management with any inquiries.”

Numerous members of diet member caucus made an attendance to the show and the representative made an opening speech at the VIP Reception which gathered more than 321 executives involved in the IoT, M2M, embedded system and related fields.
Remarks:
“I have visited the exhibitions, and I was impressed to see everyone doing business seriously, and I am happy to be invited to such a mega event. Recently, interactive network connection technology such as IoT has developed rapidly, and it is necessary for the embedded industry to respond to the requirements. However, comparing with IIC in USA and Industry 4.0 developed in Germany, I have to say we are still in a catch up stage. Because we feel it necessary to accelerate cooperation between government and private sector to develop the Japanese embedded industry, we created a diet member caucus. To make policy proposals, we wish to make the most of this party to listen to your real voices.” TAKEO KAWAMURA, CHAIRMAN OF DIET MEMBER CAUCUS, representing the embedded industry
Toast speech:
“Especially this year, the new technology: IoT gathers huge attention from the industry. Embedded technology is the key technology to develop “connected devices” which is necessary for connected world by IoT. As Japan IT Week has 11 shows held together, I hope the combination between these IT technologies will accelerate the further development of the embedded technology, and can contribute to your business expansion.”

Latest accessories, smartphones, wearables, related solutions In a different note, having successfully organised Japan IT Week for 24 years consecutively and other consumer product related shows in the past, Reed Exhibitions Japan had been receiving strong requests from numerous show participants and firms in the consumer IT product business field. In response to such requests a new show CONSUMER IT PRODUCTS EXPO (C-PEX) was launched within Japan IT Week Spring to aid business between cooperate professionals (already a large contribution of the overall visitors of the show) and firms looking to invest in the field of consumer IT products. Exhibits included accessories (tablet/smartphone covers, electric chargers, cables, protective films, OEM of such products etc.), Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO), its solutions and finished terminals such as smartphones, tablets, portable PCs etc. C-PEX is expected to grow even further in coming editions and will contribute to the international diversity of the overall show as this field has high potential for international business.
