WELCOME TO AUSTRALIAN SUSTAINABILTY CONFERENCE & EXHIBITION ANTHONY REED EXHIBITION DIRECTOR I am very proud to welcome you to Australian Sustainability Conference & Exhibition 2013. This second edition of Australian Sustainability has been built on the solid foundations we established at the inaugural event last year. It has been Australian Sustainability’s vision to create a business solutions event for companies that provides thought leadership and industry expertise to improve profitability, efficiency and performance whilst ensuring a reduction in environmental impact and an increase in employee engagement, corporate social responsibility, environmental services, building services and operations management. I am proud to say I believe we have succeeded in fulfilling this vision. The conference program we have developed for you this year will cover the breadth of sustainability within the business context, addressing issues such as technology, water and energy efficiency, management and ethics, resource management, ethical investment, business practice and strategy, up-skilling workforces and international innovative practice. We will see the multi-streamed conference bringing together business and industry professionals, along with strategic leaders who are spearheading sustainability practice and innovations locally and internationally. All the conference highlights and program schedule are contained in this exhibition directory and on the Australian Sustainability Mobile App. I would like to extend a special thank you to our strategic partners, Sustainable Business Australia. CEO Andrew Petersen’s dedication and support of the event and development of the conference program has been invaluable, along with the Banksia Foundation’s CEO, Graz van Egmond for working so closely with us to make this event a success. A special thank you also goes to our sponsors, conference Advisory Board whose help was indispensable, and event supporters, Good Environmental Choice Australia, Climate Friendly and The Republic of Everyone. WELCOME

ANA MARIA FAUST CONTENT MANAGER On behalf of the Advisory Committee and Reed Exhibitions, we welcome you to the Australian Sustainability Conference. As the tie between business and sustainability further interlinks, it is becoming more apparent of the economic value derived from sustainability decisions and activities.
