Aberdeen, the energy capital of Europe With a new AECC for 2019, providing new opportunities As the energy capital of Europe as well as a key production hub, Aberdeen has cemented itself firmly on the map as a leading centre of R&D for subsea technology and expertise; setting the global standards for the industry. Production and operations technologies and techniques developed in Aberdeen are used in oil and gas fields all over the world. This status is being supported by the evolution of Aberdeen’s main exhibition venue. OE19 will take place at the new state-of-art Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) in Dyce, which will encompass 48,000 sqm of internal exhibition space, with an extra 10,000 sqm outdoor space. The new AECC will feature purpose built exhibition spaces, enhanced conference facilities and new hospitality options. In addition there will be three on-site hotels, over 2,200 rooms within a five minutes drive of the venue and close links to the airport terminal.

we’re pleased to be here. the set up is great and it is very well organised. we are here to gain a bit more exposure as obviously the oil and gas industry has taken a big hit and we want to let our customers know we are still here. the opportunity here is networking - there is no better place to network. if you are a player in oil and gas you want to be here and you have to be here. andy rOberts, internal sales, helipebs cOntrOls

the show has been busy, we have had upwards of 20 enquiries today. all in all very good, plenty of room and the crowd is truly global. we’re hoping for more of the same over the week. gabriel mcnally, sales manager , pOwer electrOnics

neW

inspire prOgraMMe having been launched in 2015, the inspire programme continued this year, offering a wide range of sessions and activities for school students through to young professionals, all aimed at inspiring, recruiting and retaining new talent into the e&p industry.

neW teChnOlOgy ZOne 2017 saw the launch of the dedicated technology Zone in partnership with the Ogtc. at this year’s show new innovative technologies were presented to make the industry think differently. in addition, the technology Zone also hosted a village of start-ups and smes, encouraging operators and big companies in the supply chain to look at the solutions they have or are developing. due to the overwhelming success we will be expanding this area and incorporating tech trek for 2019.

neW teCh treK this year, we launched tech trek to make it easier for attendees at the show to find genuinely new technologies, products and solutions from the last 12 months. 30 companies participated in the tech trek. delegates were able to discover cutting-edge innovations by following the tech trek logo visible on the website exhibitor list, app and catalogue and on the stands at the show.

deCOMMissiOning ZOne this new zone at spe Offshore europe 2017 brought together 18 decommissioning technology and service providers with 11,000+ highly targeted technical, business and government industry professionals. the decomissioning zone included a conference theatre programmed in association with the industry’s key associations, including decom north sea, itf, imeche and sut. the zone proved so popular, that it will return in 2019 as the ‘decommissioning and late life Zone.’ eXhibitOrs inCluded: a-gas arcO ltd bisn Oil tOOls ltd decOm nOrth sea diaquip emas energy services (thailand) limited fairfield energy ltd
