PIECE NAME Gold Heart Pendant DESCRIPTION OF PIECE In this necklace many thin chains make up a sparkling and trembling surface on which, surprisingly, another design emerges thanks to a meticulous and patient micro-welding work: a delicate gold line with a heart pendant creates a strong contrast with the large and messy silver chains. In short jewellery that doubles. The design is clearly visible when the wearer is motionless, whereas it changes its perceptions with the wearer’s movements.

PIECE INSPIRATION In this piece of jewellery and in all the ‘Dual Jewellery’ collection there is a clear reference to the common and classic items widely used in jewellery. Those symbols are part of our daily life, even if we often take for granted, ignoring their influence and importance. From the etymology of the word symbol (which derives from Greek and it means ‘throwing things together’) it is easy to understand its incredible power. The aim of this piece and the all collaction was to play with them, trying to give a modern, unexpected twist and also an ironic touch. The gold heart pendant is just a representation, it’s mutable, it hides or show itself, depending on the wearer’s movement.

There is a fragmentation of the image that can refer to our shaky existence.

DESCRIPTION OF BRAND ElenaLara Jewellery is a young, fine and contemporary jewellery brand based in Milan, Italy. PIECE NAME Rain-Maker DESCRIPTION OF PIECE This piece is a ceremonial mace. It is made by combining many different forms, techniques, and materials to create a highly refined ritual instrument.

The materials used in this piece are: Sterling Silver, Fine Silver, 18k Gold, Steel, Cherry (wood), Black Pearls, Garnets, Sapphires, and Aquamarine.

PIECE INSPIRATION This piece is a ceremonial mace. Much of his current work is based on reinterpreting ancient symbols and ritual instruments in a modern context. This piece uses eclectic imagery, forms, and material to create a ritual object devoid of time or place. The piece is called rainmaker for the noise it makes when shaken and for the implied ritualistic use of the object.

DESCRIPTION OF BRAND Jake’s current work is based on reinterpreting ancient symbols and ritual instruments in a modern context. Much of his inspiration comes from word culture, mythology, and history. Jake Martin Jewelry is focused on creating fine jewelry in silver and 18k gold inspired by natural design principles and contemporary scientific imagery.

MATERIALS USED The materials used in “Rain-Maker” reflect Jake’s affection in the making process. He enjoys working with a myriad of materials and techniques which is a reflection of the supreme joy he finds in simply being part of the creative process of these pieces.

PIECE NAME Maze Bracelet DESCRIPTION OF PIECE The Maze bracelet is comprised of a series of raised rectangles that wrap around the piece until being confined within a central, closed box. Within this box are vertical maze-like extrusions, the highest of which are damascened with gold on the tops. Surrounding these tall rectangles are small white glass spheres that move around the space freely. When worn, the spheres clink around when hitting the surrounding rectangles or the transparent cover. This bracelet is both kinetic and auditory and displays your movements as if travelling through a maze.

PIECE INSPIRATION ‘Maze’ was first thought up when trying to explain the altered state of mind that occurs when one goes through depression. While describing the pattern of thought, I likened it to trying to navigate through a maze where you are constantly hitting dead ends. To express an erratic thought process, in this piece I inlayed gold on top of the high points within the maze to show how every time one overcomes a problem as a moment to be treasured. However, the high points are meant to be fleeting from the viewpoint of the glass spheres, describing just how easy it is to fall back into a bad state of mind. By creating a body of work that encourages being played with, I aim to open up discussion about mental illness and personal failures within an exploratory environment.

DESCRIPTION OF BRAND Mokiko stands for modern, kinetic, and ‘kontemporary’. Using the structural perfection of nature and architecture, our jewelry seeks to be innovative in regards to the meaning behind our designs. When our jewelry is worn it symbolizes the relationship between people and the objects that go unnoticed in the world around us.

PIECE NAME Midnight Veil Roya Initial Necklace DESCRIPTION OF PIECE A vision in blue, draped in a Midnight Veil – a shimmering shroud which will forever wash away the day’s glaring intensity, allowing to languish in the tranquillity, serenity and silence experienced at this most precious moment in time. A celebration by twinkling flowers, as they dance on an inky blue sky. The Midnight Veil pendant, and the Roya collection to which it belongs, fuses a centuries-old artisanal craft, and follows the gilded lines of history traveling from Persia to India. Mughal civilization etched exquisite Islamic architecture into India’s consciousness, creating an iconic skyline the world would never forget, with matchless art and beauty inspired by nature’s immutable forces and stories. Each pendant in the Roya collection is carefully hand-made and enameled by 9th generation Meenakars; artisans of a rare Persian jewelry craft which centuries ago, was limited to royalty. The traditional flower-motifs in enamel, based on the ancient indo-islamic symbols representing the fullness of life, celebrate the abundance of the natural world, and the vastness of potential waiting to be awakened within you.

PIECE INSPIRATION This fusion of ancient storytelling, timeless spirituality, with a touch of modern femininity has shaped my jewelry design, just as India’s heritage- the pieces of my own past; have shaped me. Midnight Veil is inspired by the Rajasthan desert, shrouded in a vision of inky blue. The deep pigmented sky holds ornate flowers which dance across the shaded walls of mosques, minarets and palatial homes in this region rich with color and intrigue.

At night, serenity and silence stencil the silhouettes of cities and secluded havelis, where the day gives way to twinkling starlit skies and the faint traces of jasmine musk.

DESCRIPTION OF BRAND Agaro is a celebration of the tradition and heritage of the ancient jewelry making art, first established in the imperial karkhanas, or workshops, of the Mughal Court. The jewelry produced in these karkhanas was made using gold at its very purest (always over 22 karat), delicately wrought and brilliantly fused with magnificent meenakari, or enameling. It was said that even Paris could not paint gold to the standard produced within the karkhanas. This blended brilliance of greens, blues, and reds to create flowers, plants, scrolling vines and animal forms, became a quintessential symbol of the Mughal image of ‘paradise on earth’. Today, Agaro jewelry is made using these same traditions and techniques passed down through generations. Our artisans, many of whom can trace their families back to the karkhanas of the Mughal Court, create beautifully detailed enameling on finely embellished 22 karat gold. The jewelry is authentic with a contemporary twist, yet each unique jewel is a little piece of India, and our very own version of ‘paradise on earth’.

For those on a lower budget, begin with a Solitaire Halo with or without pave on the Shank which can always be added later e.g., add pave shank on your 1st Wedding anniversary or birthday, etc., etc., PIECE INSPIRATION I wanted to design an Engagement ring that most can afford and that was able to be upgraded without having to exchange the ring. This also would give the jewelry store a long-term customer who would return periodically. The name RUS was selected because RUS cared about all people regardless of their standing. KABBALAH RUS (RUTH) Mother of Royalty Princess Ruth sacrificed royalty for a life of poverty to live among people she admired. During the harvest she treated the poor with sympathy & love. Her nation is rewarded with receiving the Torah, and Ruth reclaimed her status as “The Mother of Royalty” DESCRIPTION OF BRAND The AVIGDOR brand is being developed by Ezra, a former Australian Sculptor, and demonstrates clean classical lines using open spaces to create impressionistic forms. The “Curlique” and “Halo” Collections show off the latest designs, concentrating on light wide spread rings in line with current trends (like stacking), and being able to use different finishes within the same ring. Almost all AVIGDOR Rings begin with low budget pricing for a basic ring, which can upgraded in time, and carry a LIFETIME warranty. The Brand is being developed to become collectors/heirloom jewelry.

PIECE NAME Royal Crown Ring DESCRIPTION OF PIECE My Royal Crown Ring, which features my signature “dune” texture, is 15mm wide and is made from 18k yellow gold. A spectacular 1.2ct rhodolite garnet is the focal point. Around the edges are 0.27ct of pink sapphires that gradually become lighter as they encircle the crown. The beautiful ring and its royal colors are fit for a queen.

PIECE INSPIRATION I was born on a tiny island off the northern most tip of Japan. The undulating pattern of my “dune” texture, which is featured on my Royal Crown Ring, comes from walks along the beach and the ever changing patterns of the sandy landscape. The rubies and pink sapphire on the ring reflect the beautiful wildflowers of the countryside. When I think back to my childhood I sometimes think I lived on a mythical island ruled by kings and queens wearing crowns made up from the sandy beaches and beautiful wildflowers of their kingdom.

PIECE NAME Brave Heart DESCRIPTION OF PIECE Part of Keith Jack’s award winning line-up of Celtic inspired jewellery, the Brave Heart Warrior Shield is constructed of Sterling silver and solid 10kt rose gold, set with Cubic Zirconia. The pendant measures 54mm in diameter, or 2 1/8”, and comes suspended on an Italian wheat link chain. It retails for $730US, and is available in sterling silver and 10kt yellow gold as well as Ruthenium plated sterling silver and rose gold. PIECE NAME Stupa Druzy Ring DESCRIPTION OF PIECE A statement ring featuring a shimmery druzy stone set intricate sterling silver.

PIECE INSPIRATION Stupa refers to the granulation design which is inspired by the dome-shaped structures erected as Buddhist shrines.

DESCRIPTION OF BRAND The idea that a well-made piece of jewelry may one day become an heirloom-inspired Kirsten Boedecker to create her first piece of jewelry. Multi-faceted passions of travel, music, and nature fuse together to evoke an element of playfulness and adventure in each piece.
