Wake Up Calls

Please dial ‘9’ to contact reception to book your personal wake up call.

Water

The water to our property is drawn from the natural spring that runs directly beneath Mount Lofty. This is drawn by a bore then pumped through to our holding tank; the spring water is pumped through a series of filtration pumps before reaching the main house.

No chemicals are added to the water, which means you are drinking and experiencing water in its natural form. The spring water is a little heavier than mains water but is suitable to drink. The spring water is rich in natural iron and can reflect a blue colour. If you prefer bottled water, this is available in your in-room fridge and is free of charge.

Wedding Facilities

Mount Lofty House is known for its breathtaking views across the Piccadilly Valley, for exceptional service and world-class food. But more importantly it is recognised as one of Adelaide’s most stunning and highly sought-after wedding venues that will guarantee to make your most special day a memorable one.

If you would like a tour around the house or information on our wedding packages, please send your enquiry to wedding.sales@mtloftyhouse.com.au

Wildlife

Mount Lofty House is surrounded by wildlife. Koalas have been seen looking into our windows or wandering along guest balconies. It is not unusual to see a kangaroo, bandicoot or a snake during the warmer weather when walking around the grounds. Please do not approach these animals as they can be dangerous. Please inform reception if you encounter any snakes on the property. Native birds frequent the gardens and you can watch sulphur crested cockatoos soar through the Piccadilly Valley

From April through to October millipedes are a regular occurrence in the Adelaide Hills. These tiny little insects are harmless and will curl up into a ball when disturbed. If you would like us to remove any wildlife, bugs or insects from your room, please contact reception by dialling ‘9’ from your in-room telephone
