Refreshment Systems make vending easy. Our operations team are equipped with Blackberry® phones in order to accurately record all site visit details, so that we can monitor our machines to ensure that they refilled or cleaned accordingly. Benenden moves up to a premium coffee Our relationship with Benenden healthcare goes back 7 years. When our partnership began, Benenden’s HQ was a converted Victorian house in which 40 people worked, but the organisation has grown steadily over the years and now employs some 150 people at its Head Office. We installed the organisation’s first vending machine ? years ago and although the contract has been reviewed every three years, we’re still together. Our service has changed as Benenden’s needs have changed: the latest development on site is the installation of a premium coffee offer, which reflects the growing sophistication of the Benenden staff when it comes to coffee consumption. ‘It was time to up-grade our coffee offer’, said Benenden’s Jeff Woodhouse. ‘It’s amazing to see how vending technology has improved in recent years and it’s now the case that with the right machine and the right ingredients it’s possible to deliver great tasting espresso based drinks, similar to those enjoyed by our staff in the High Street Coffee Shops.’

Each time the contract comes up for renewal, Jeff takes a look at the marketplace to check what’s available, but – so far! – he has returned each time to Refreshment Systems. ‘RSL is not necessarily the cheapest deal we’re offered’, he admitted, ‘but ‘cheapest’ doesn’t necessarily mean ‘best’.
