When I think about Christian leadership, I think about the examples I saw throughout my time at Regent. The Ph.D. program was tough, but there was a transformation that took place in my life because of the type of leadership I was under.

Dr. Jason Carthen’s resume is notable: NFL linebacker, entrepreneur, radio host, bestselling author, motivational speaker, and doctoral learner. “I didn’t know I would have this type of success. I was just trying to make it day to day. As I began to develop a pattern of resilience, I realized everything was going to work out,” Jason explains. “You’ve got to have a very intense focus. That is what allowed me to continue moving forward in leadership.” He says there were difficulties along the way, professionally and personally. But his faith in God and desire to live out his purpose  is what led him to  earn his doctorate in organizational leadership at Regent: “The program transformed me. I knew I was born to change the world.”
